My daughter loves this book

My 18 month old daughter loves this bumblebee book and asks to play with it whenever she sees my iPhone. I like that it has a mini movie that she can watch without me helping her and it keeps her busy for a few minutes. The book part of the app is a little beyond her, at this point, but she still likes to watch as I do it and has started following the prompts given by the voice over on the book like "touch the flowers." Teaching to follow instructions, another great benefit from an app that my daughter couldn't do without. Thanks!!

Hearing my little monkey laugh and seeing her expression when she watches the video is priceless. A few times now this app has saved us from an unhappy 10 month old in the car. This app is SO WORTH THE MONEY. I would easily pay more for either of the two parts, the video or the book. I will buy any app like this put out by the same dev/Co.
If I could add one option it would be to lock the screen or at least keep the controls from popping up when her little fingers touch the screen. I’m not sure it that is even possible, but it would make this app 6 stars if it were.

My 15 week old daughter who gets easily bored by all manner of attention-grabbers absolutely loves this. I am forced to play it again & again & her reaction at the different plot changes is always the same at each transition point. She follows the bee(s) plot closely & gets a chuckle when it comes to look at her before heading out. I should add that the combination with the choice music also helps in the attraction for my daughter. At her age my daughter seems mostly into the movie section. This is the 1st review of an app of the many I have downloaded. It was so good so as to get me to write one. I would appreciate more stories (additional) of this kind. The other apps by same team are good but none as GREAT as this one. I am sure they can produce more stories of this kind given the execution shown here. Good job!

My wife instructed me to make sure i write this review. For some unknown yet amazing reason, my son, who is now seven months old has been mesmerized by the sound and the graphics of this app. He would be crying a storm beyond consolability, only to magically quiet down whenever we play the movie of this app. I can't put into words how much we appreciate this "secret weapon" we have that has made our long drives unbelievably, quiet and peaceful. How we wish the movie is longer or has an "auto replay" mode so we won't need to press "watch movie" again and again. Thank you

When I bought this app I had no idea how this app would appeal to my 2 year old grandson. Not to long after I bought it, he had to take an emergency trip to the hospital and was scared and kept crying. When I turned on the "Bee Movie" and gave him my phone to watch it, I was so grateful to see him calm down. Thank you so much for making this app. My 11 month old grandaughter is captivated by the movie also. She saw a picture of a bee on a piece of paper yesterday and tried to push it to get it to "play." I wish you had other short movie apps with classical music. I would buy them in a heartbeat. The graphics and the music of this app are really great. Thanks!!!!!

I bought this book for my 3 and 5 year olds. It works for both ages.
The "book" consists of two parts, a movie and a read-a-long book. The movie has great graphics and music and my kids always watch it before reading the book. The book, again with the high quality graphics, reads out the words first and then lets the child touch each word to hear it again. Sometimes there are tasks for them to do on the page that they are reading. The book itself is easy to navigate and both my kids were quickly able to move around and do each task easily without help.
One of the things I'd like is for these tasks to be mixed up a bit. For instance in one they have to find the word "flower". At the moment the word always appears in the same place so it makes it too easy for the kids to just memorize the location rather than the word. It would also be great to have a few more tasks or activities added to the story to make it even more interactive in regards to testing what they are seeing. The number aspects of the book also only cover 1, 2, 3, 6 & 7. I'd like to see some additional pages with the missing numbers. :-)
I have also bought Suzy Dress Up (see other review) and I'll probably get them 3DAL's other app "Preschool Adventure" based on the quality of the first two apps.
I look forward to seeing what else 3DAL LLC will come up with next...

Please release the movie as a separate file! We love it :)

If you have a child and have an ipod touch with speaker or an i phone you MUST get this app, it is a no brainer. My Daughter LOVES this app, she plays with the words and watches the bees and loves it. She especially loves watching the movie over and over again and so do several other kids from families we knows, kids from the age of 10 months right through to 7 years old.. all LOVE the bee movie in this app. I would pay even more to get the movie from this app as a separate item in a movie file, so we can play it on the big screen or in the car. At the moment someone has to hold the iphone in front of my daughter in the car and keeping hitting the button to repeat it lol... please everyone who likes this app, write to the makers 3DAL (there is a link on their website) and ask them to release the movie, they must have had it on file to make it and include it in the game.. LOVE THIS APP :)

Great sounds, great audio, fun interactions. Too short, but for only a buck this is understandable.
What is not understandable is the jaggy text. It's jarringly unrefined compared to the rest of the visuals in the game. Please smooth out the text!
Also, the speaker icon seems a bit unintuitive for a small child. Why not have the page start reading automatically when progressing from page to page?
Despite the gripes, this is a great little app. I'd love to see more like this. Maybe I won't get my kid a Nintendo DS but an iPod Touch instead.

Pictures and animations are excellent (except for the non-beating bumblebee wings), narrator's voice is excellent, "plot" is quite satisfactory, and for a beginning reader, this is a good length. Having a movie *and* an interactive book works well.
I have a few quibbles about the music, though: The Rimsky-Korsakov "Flight of the Bumblebee" music (which accompanies the interactive book) is too soft, given the conditions under which it is likely to be played. Also, it starts over at the beginning of each page on which it plays at all, so you're unlikely to hear the whole thing, if a preschooler is in control. And if you stop to listen to the music, the screen will soon blank and the music will turn off. :-( Couldn't you wait until the music ends?
Of course, most preschoolers probably won't wait long enough for the blanking screen to be a problem. ;-)
The Tchaikovsky "Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairies" is fine. (Good volume, and since there is no interaction, the music is well matched to the action, and plays to the end.)

I worked for a mobile game company for years without ever buying a game. On a lark, I bought this for $.99 and its probably the best $.99 I ever spent.
The Nutcracker Suite played during the book option even got my daughter interested in classic music!
My only complaint is the length. I'd pay 5X for a version with a longer story and another Touch Book chapter.
I've bought three 3DAL games thus far and I'll keep buying more if this quality sustains.

I purchased this app for my 5 mth old son. He is absolutely fascinated. I thought there would be a bit more to it but for the price, it's excellent. Thanks. :-)My son is 11 mths old now & he still loves watching it!! It has been the best $0.99 I have spend so far for him. It calms him right down when he's getting difficult or irate. Unless you're really cheap, I don't know you wouldn't buy this app. Thank you!!!! I hope another app similar to this is made soon.

After spending $20 for a simple birthday toy, I feel compelled to write my appreciation for what you have done. My grandkids and I use these every Sunday School. I have tried other iphone games but these two are simply the best for the money. The only problem is they are short so I need more of them. I thank you and I hope you make more soon.

My son loves this app, he enjoys watching the funny bees and looking at the vibrant colors. We are hoping 3DAL will come out with more of this type.
