Since the app store opened for business, I've been buying comics on here. Without a doubt, iVerse has the best selection and readability available and so I've purchased most of my comics from them.
The controls and interface is intuitive and there's even a free issue to download that shows you how to use the app properly. Nice addition BTW. I can't imagine reading too many other ways that would feel more natural on the iPhone.
Now, I can have all these great reads in one place. I've been deleting the read issues in the past to make space (icon-wise) and now I don't have to do that. Next time I'm like, "I read this great issue of Atomic Robo!" I'll be able to find it on the bookshelf in this app and open it for my buddy to read. No more explaining the story as I've already deleted the icon.
Also, the fact that previous purchases (individual issues) can be re-downloaded to the new app for free is just showing what every company out there needs to understand. The customer always comes first.
Great job guys! I look forward to many many hours of reading future issues through this new interface.

Ignore the folk talking about lack of free stuff, it's easily found in the store- but that's not the good bit of the app. You get access to a lot of great content fora lot less than a print version would cost and a lot easier- ie no need to visit the shop. And it uses push to let you know about new content. Once you find out that you are meant to turn to landscape to read (Instructions are downloadable but should really be built in) it is an almost perfect app. Hopefully the content will continue to be provided regularly!

I have been researching all the comic reader apps in the app store for a few weeks now but they all have things I don't like about them. I downloaded a few comics from the app store but I quickly got tired of zooming and panning all the time. When I saw the Iverse Comics app in the app store it looked like it had potential so I downloaded it and have spent a few hours going through all the features. Coverflow is awesome and the comics are reasonably priced at $.99. Very quickly I discovered that I like this product and the simple interface. I hope they update the app with a few more features but otherwise a good start.

This app is a great start and is much better than the old way of a seperate app for each comic. It can use some more work with sorting your comics and a few other things. But most of the issues are minor. As to the user who repurchased comics, in the settings there is a download purchased comics or something similar. Also not all comics that were sold seperatly are yet available in the new app it appears. I can't wait to see what they have in store for is in the future.

This is great. Worth the price. No more single comic per icon. Get all your comics in one place and buy them all from the same spot(no searching the app store). Sorted by company or type/genre. It even has push notification of new comics. When you buy a comic it gets placed in a down load section until it's done. Then it shows up in your list/library. It's really professionally done. Kudos to iverse. Comics are formatted perfectly (just make sure you tilt your iPhone or iPod sideways for the best view) The only flaw that keeps it from 5 stars is the selection. It's small. Also, I contacted the company and was told that my previously purchased iverse comics would show up in my library. They are just awaiting apples approval of the update. Now if we could just get marvel and dc to join.....

In my opinion, if you close the app in the middle of reading a comic, you should be taken back to where you left off the next time you open the app. Also, if you left the app in list mode (as I prefer the list mode over the bookshelf mode), the next time you open the app it should still be in list mode.All in all, really great app. I love the idea of having both landscape and portrait views of the page.

iVerse has made a very good easy to use app for purchasing their comics. Does as promised in the description. Previous iVerse comic purchaser will notice that transitions between pages are not AS smooth as individual apps. Hoping that this will be addressed in future updates. (3g, not sure about 3gs). Patiently waiting to be able to download previous purchases for free into this app. Tested it and it didn't work. Grr waisted a buck. The instruction manual should be included in the app by default. (Although this may have been ommited due to size restrictions). I'm a litle confused as to why there is a button that says 'restore purchases'. It doesn't do anything....yet. Will update review as updates are released.

At the time of writing this review there are 34 free comics which for 59p is a bargain but you have to download them manually which is a pain in the botty. Like a drug dealer it gives you a taster with the first issue free then have to pay 59p for the next issue. Easy to read but the app does tend to hang when browsing the store and did crash my iPhone 3G one time. Overall worth the 59p 4 stars

Step past the confusion

Ignore the reviews that say this does not come with 30 free comics. The confusion seems to be that they are not pre-loaded but there are 30 issues available for free download within the store. Yes it would have made more sense to preload them (hence a star off) but this still gives you acess to 30 comics for the cost of 59p which is a pretty good deal in my world. On top of that it's a great space saver and looks to be being supported by pretty much everyone outside the big two publishers. But even if you never pay for additional content I would recommend this for the free (or technically 2p each) starter titles.

Ok so lets start by saying good work is a great space saver and does let you easily browse comics from different publishers, but ! Not all the comics are availible even though you can already purchase them from those publishers which is a bit of a shame. Will give it five stars when it's up to date with all the comics. Iverse you do a great job I love my comics and they work very well on your system good luck and keep up the good work.

5 stars, I love it. But you guys promised a lot and have yet to deliver. I still can't re-download the older Star Trek comics etc I've bought like promised, and the selection is still limited. Get an update out, please.

It really is like a comics store in your pocket. There are a lot of interesting titles with some great free samples. And the app is very slick at finding, purchasing, and organizing the comics. Well worth it and very fun!
