What does the vibration do? And can u in the next update c if u can choose the things that go in it.... Like the fish n stuff.... Other than that... Amazing app! In the information bit can you state what the vibrate thing means.... Or is that feeding the fish? Can u in a update mane make it vibrate when a fish is scared n swims away... That would b cool! A fish tank version of this would b kl too
....and RELAX.... by Golden By: Komatic Dog - 27-Nov-2009 Version: 2.5 Have had this app for a while now and I must say, it's still a beautiful way to relax and also to show off your iPhone! The Xmas pond is fun and makes a quirky change of mood. I particularly liked the seasonal Koi Feed....such attention to detail! Let's not forget the depth of sound...my personal favourite is the thunder with raindrops. When ppl ask me about the iPhone and whether getting one is justified or not, I just whip up the Koi Pond app n let the doubters 'feed' the Koi to the sound of frogs n thunder...they doubt no more, let me tell you! Wonderful! Just had a thought, wouldn't it be lovely to be able to watch the Koi Pond on a plasma telly with HD and be able to listen to the full, rich sounds through a BandW Zeppelin...imagine that. Koi Pond is getting 5stars anyway!
Great app...worth any price! By: doxieman - Jan 3, 2010 Version: 2.5 This is pretty much a one of a kind apps. It may not "do" much but it does it very well. I'll share my secret favorite app (because it reminds me of the visual aspect of Koi Pond) it's called iSqueek. Realistic squeak toys...my dachshund LOVES it, but my kids do too. Other favorites of mine are Checkplease, Cube Runner (my two nephews ask for my iphone every time I see them just to play Cube Runner), Asphalt4...
Amazing app! Updated By: Akanishi-san - Oct 17, 2008 Version: 2.1 Honestly, at first I was hesitant. Yes, it's only a dollor, I know, but still. I could go buy a soda instead of buying a koi pond...so I had thought. BUT!! Screw that, this pond is amazing!! I love to just watch the fish when I need to relax, and the bkgrnd noises are soothing, too. And what's best, is that I will lend it to my little brother (who is turning 2 this oct, so young child) who absolutely LOVE it! I'm sure other children of age will love it, too! It works for me, because I can use it to distract him for a while, so I could do my own thing. (even a a restaurant, he would just sit there and play)And ditto about feeding. Why would you whant a chore? These koi are to sooth you, not to hassle you. Overall, this app is simply a work of a genious!UPDATE: god. Please please please! Just stop complaining. This app if wonderful, with or without an update. Suggestions are fine...but complaining for an update or else you will delet the app?? Come on. That's just sad.Oh. And speaking of suggestions...how about being able to choose the koi in your pond? I do not like the red/yellow striped one...sorry, lol. And, to the person who said "why only ugly koi??" maybe because there are no sparkling rainbow colored koi in real life? Hm?
THIS By: durkaman - Dec 22, 2009 Version: 2.5 Looks so real and so relaxing!!!! At such an AWSOME PRICE!!!!! I would recomend it to EVERYBODY I give it
Great! But... By: Kimmathy - Jul 19, 2009 Version: 2.3 This app is great. I saw it on one of the iPods in the apple store and I instantly wanted it. It's fun for a few minutes and semi relaxing (only because it's on an iPod, if it was real then yes). However, I don't think it should cost anything in my opinion. It's fun to feed them, change the color of the water and lily pads and what not. I even found the holiday themes adorable. It's a lovely app nonetheless. :D
Amazing!! By: husky lover - Jan 12, 2009 Version: 2.2.1 This is one of the better apps I've downloaded, and the only one yet ice been willing to pay for!! It's very very calming and totally fun to play around with!I found a mistake, though. When a koi swims by some fish food, it swims over it rather ruN under it. A koi will then eat the food by swimming up, and taking it from the surface of the water. Please correct so that the koi swim under the food.
Even better! By: GigaRat - Aug 18, 2008 Version: 2.0 All the features we wanted were given to us, and more;) Feeding the fish and the finger nibbling was just a great effect. I like being able to toggle the daylight button, and love being able to mix and match the sounds. A few other selections would be the icing on the cake, something like quiet chimes.. How about weather, like ripples in the water from wind, or rain drops? That would take even greater advantage of that teriffic water texture. You know, a frog swimming by or jumping on the pads would be cute, too. ;) I really do enjoy this fun little app, and can't wait to see I there will be other updates. :D
Best entertainment App! By: Raza5-30 - Aug 20, 2008 Version: 2.0 This app is great! I am not a little kid, nor do I have any, but I am amused with it myself. i love the sound of the water and how the fish react to it. I love the feeding and finger nibbling option they just added. Keep up the good work, and keep steady updates coming to stay on the top of the charts! I think more options keeps people entertained for longer. Get it while its .99cents as more options will prob cause the price to go up to 1.99.
One of the best By: OMGxWTFxHEATHER - Aug 26, 2008 Version: 2.0 This is by far one of the best apps I have I'm not even kidding I played around with it for 2 hours before I even realized how long I had been playing with it I love it and I'll use it everyday it's a must have! I can't believe how cheap it is! Thank you so much for making this! (; I can't wait for another update but it'll be hard to top this!!!People stop freaking over the price! You paid what $300 or more for a iPhone and your flipping over a dollar? Get over it this app should be 5 dollars! Be lucky your getting something this good for this cheap! And to everyone who wants "if you don't feed the fish they die"how is that relaxing? That's a chore!!!

Not Complaints, Just Suggestions By: Lover of Veggies <3 - Aug 21, 2008 Version: 2.0 Suggestions:1.) vibrate GENTLY when the fish nibble2.) make the fish less blurry 3.) add a waterfall (maybe into a second, smaller pond)4.) make it so I can listen to my music while I'm watching the fish5.) make the time of day change6.) add a the option to view the pond from the side or under the water7.) make the shadows of the fish apear on eachotherI have no complaints though!(sry about having 2 add 2 the LONG list of comments, I just had more ideas on my mind)
Incredible By: firelasse - Dec 4, 2009 Version: 2.5 The graphics in this app is incredible! I'm amazed to see the shadows mimic the koi's movements so realistically. It's mirror image of movement is so incredible. Those who don't get it are not studying close enough to the graphics, therefore won't get the ambience. Sorry this is not mutant ninja koi out to save the world with ammo and destruction. It's for the people and children who want to live with peace and serenity and have a little bit of nature with them when they have restraints during the day that prevent them from touching the real thing.
Worth the dollar By: theonewhogrins - Feb 1, 2009 Version: 2.2.1 It's worth the dollar almost for the sound effects alone. It's actually really soothing (I love the sond of cicadas and the ocean thing) and then I don't have to run around looking for study music. :D I wish you could choose which color koi appear; I love the white with orange one and the red spotted one. I'm not super fond of the orange and yellow stripes or the cow looking one, but oh well. :) The fish coming to nibble on your finger is a cute effect too! I didn't notice you could do that, and was utterly delighted when I found out. The water effects are really cool. I can spend forever just moving my finger around and watching the water ripple.
Minor Tweaking Needed By: Diezzel - 23-Aug-2008 Version: 2.0 This is a great app, I agree with all of you on that; my expectations were far exceeded, taking into account it costs less than a dollar. The new version includes notable improvements in brightness and a few extras which are more than welcome. However, as of now ( I'm sure the developers will soon address this issue), this comes at a price, for the movement of the fish is much less realistic when compared to the older version. Furthermore, the added brightness has exposed a few pixels that were not present before (shadows, fish contours), becoming a bit distracting and taking points away from an application that could be perfect. That said, Koi Pond is ridiculously underpriced, and its status as "Top Paid App" is well deserved, definitely a must-get. After all, this review is not a complaint, but rather, feedback from an already satisfied customer. I will rate Koi Pond 5 stars, simply because only minor tweaking is needed and I'm confident the next version will be one step nearer to perfection once adjusted. Last but not least, GO GET THIS COOL APP, NOW!!
Awesome app By: xChaosTheorySS - Aug 21, 2008 Version: 2.0 I love this app and the update made it even better. The sounds are relaxing and actually help me fall asleep at night. There are a few things that i think could make it even better yet. Adding wind animation would be cool when using the wind sound. Having the option to have frogs would be good too, as well as some bugs and birds or shadows of birds. These little extras would be great additions with the sounds, especially if the koi would interact with them.
Awesome app made even better with updates By: CreativeTide - 7-Sep-2008 Version: 2.0 Not only do I love this app, but I completely appreciate that the developers listened to their customers and made their suggestions come to life through the updates. I truly think that this app is wonderful as is (and fully worth the dollar), but if I were to suggest improvements for future updates I would have to say:• If there is some sort of "response" when the fish nibbles your finger, like a soft buzz from the vibration feature of the iPhone, that would make it seem more "real". As it is, it's cute to have the fish swim up to your finger, but there's no detectable feedback that they're nibbling it.• I agree with whoever said that being able to pinch the screen to make the food fall where you want I (instead of randomly) would be nice. Also, floating flakes on the surface would be better than chunks that fall to the bottom. • I would really love to see fish of all different sizes. That way you can say "the big guy over there is my favorite" or "aww... look at the baby!"• An option to make it rain (and a slider for how much) would be mega wicked. Soft gentle rain pittering on the surface, up to harder rain that stirs up the pond a little more.• I agree that adding a frog who comes to visit occassionally would be great. I think he should randomly appear so that it feels like a reward: "yay, Mr. Frog came to visit, he must like my pond!"• Dragonflies flitting over the surface would make this a 5 MILLION star app. • As for other apps from these developers, I agree with the reviewer who suggested an aquarium that you can customize with what fish you want, what plants, rocks and decorations too. Maybe the option of freshwater or salt water (with coral and hermit crabs!) if possible. From these developers, I know it would be worthwhile, an I'd spend $5 or maybe even $10 for it (and this from the person who 99% of my apps are freebies). But of course if it was a buck, that'd be even awesomer! :)Overall, I just want to say that even though I've made suggestions for improvement, this is still an EXCELLENT app, thank you for making it!
Wow By: Mrdy - 28-Sep-2008 Version: 2.1 Anybody could have this idea and slap together some kruddy application like this. but it took creativity to make this app! it is very well put together, no glitches or crashes! I have been to a koi pond and this is very realistic, with many settings. the pond, water is nice. the lily pads are moveable and the fish are nice. except that they don't 'dart' away; they are a bit slow. the finger nibbling is cool but it should vibrate when they nibble because that would make it even more realistic. Good job! Worth the 99cents and This is on my first page out of five on my iPhone. only the best apps get on my first page!
No!!! By: Shnargle Flargle - Sep 10, 2008 Version: 2.1 Everyone that's complaining that this has no features or isn't intuitive enough; shut up!All you paid was a dollar and 17 cents (tax(in certain areas)) and you expect more?! No! You have; 1) four sounds to mix and match with.2) choice of the number of fish and/or lillies and/or water color.3) default dim or updated brightness.4) feed the fish5) they also nibble.6) and, the pads are movable.Blimp pilots, don't listen to these people, you've set records with re amount of time on the top of the app store list with an app that's worth $3.00 but you guys are modest and generous enough to offer it for $.99. Eveyone stop complaining! But I'm not saying you shouldn't add more things over time, but no one here has made a valid and plausible suggestion so I suppose I'll also do that;1) more fish and lillies.2) some way that the fish interact with one another.3) and yes, the fish need the lillie shadow on them when they pass under it. Other wise this is amazing. I think they should make another application where you actually care for a fish, like a virtual pet. Feed and watch. And try to make it 3-D, but then again that'll raise the price substantially. Oh well... But no one has made something like that on this that's good and your studio seems like it's fit for the job.
Brilliant application By: Niyana Phomcha - Aug 24, 2008 Version: 2.0 I love everything about this app -- the movement of the koi, the rippling of the water, that you can "tend" to the lily pads, feeding the koi...and the options are amazing. You can customize the look of the water, how many koi are in it, the number of lily pads, as well as adding in sound elements. This provides excellent background noise at work and the ocassional moment of Zen when interacting with the koi. Well done. Absolutely worth the 99 cents and then some.
iKoi haha cool By: SupaShang - 01-Aug-2008 Version: 1.0 I design aquatics for online worlds, and this is a real nice app to have on your phone. It's real relaxing to look at and when you tap you finger in the water, it ripples and the Koi swim away. You can choose how many fish and plants you wish to have, and also the tint of the water colour. We need more sweet little apps like this instead of the dumb light bulb apps and other nonsense clogging the app pages. Well done, I look forward to any updates.
