Daily use from a film fan

Like my title says, I use this app on a damn near daily basis. It's the quickest way for me to find out a movie time without havin to go through a search! I have three theaters stored as favorites, and now they're at the top of the list, so j just pick which one and I have the films! Of course, the new ad for films as a flash when you start the app is annoying as hell, but you have to pay the bills somehow, so no biggie.

A MUST DOWNLOAD. Others have paled in comparison. Automatically shows you what theaters are near you- a swipe of your finger of your chosen one gives you a movie list along with the movie poster photo (NEW) and listed times. Another swipe and you can read reviews of said movie along with a viewing the trailer. Well thought out design. PROGRAMMERS you rock (come wk w/ me)! This app is worth money- so download it now b4 they come to their senses. ;) I can't live without it.

If, like me, you love movies but never actually know what's on then this is the app for you. There are several reasons why: 1. It's free and look at all the information you get! 2. It works anywhere with Internet access eg the city centre so if you have a spur of the moment " let's go see a film" idea, which I'm sure most of you have then it's no problem because you have the technologie at you're finger tips! I don't really see how you could give this app any less than a 4 because it doesn't cost you anything and it works great. I think we're lucky they aren't making us pay!

I downloaded this application just to have local movie timetables at my fingertips. I didn't realize I'd also be getting brief plot descriptions of films, a list of soon-to-be-released films, reviews from moviegoers and film critics, links to imdb.com and other sites where trailers can be viewed as well as a few other perks. All things considered, this is a free application that I'd have been more than happy to pay for. I think it's fantastic.

I downloaded a few movie apps, and this is the one I referred to most often, so I deleted the others. This one just got even better with the release of version 3.0. I love the fact that as soon as you open the application, it will automatically go to the theatres near you and you can see movie times with just a click and a scroll. One reason I find this app the most useful is because it shows Rotten Tomatoes ratings right there next to each movie. You don't have to go to a separate window. You can also list movies in order of "What's coming soon" in case you want to watch previews of upcoming films...a nice feature to have! This program doesn't crash on me, it's free, you can search for movies, it gives movie durations, who's in it, details about the movie, I can go on and on. Just download it and try it. It's a five-star rating in my book! A+

This is a great little app: if there's a movie you want to see, it'll find showtimes at all the nearest movie theaters so you can make plans to go, OR if you're looking for something to see at a nearby theater, it's got you covered there, too. They've integrated Rotten Tomatoes reviews and top box office info, as well as new release information. It's everything you could want, and pretty reliable. As I said, a great little app.

Everyone should be giving this app 5 stars. This app saves so much time and hassel from looking online or in the news paper if anyone still does that. When I'm with a group of friends and we decide to go see a movie they turn to me and ask what the show times are bc it's truely a genius app to have. Don't under rate this app, give it what it truely deserves and that's 5 stars. If your a movie lover then this is an essential app to have hands down.

2.0 finally makes this a killer app.

Ever since this app was acquired by Flixster, I have been hoping for some sort of integration with their service. This app was already one of the speedier and more responsive ones available but they really hit the nail on the head with the addition of Facebook Connect. Being able to see what my friends thought of a movie is way better than reading the rants of random critics. It rocks being able to see which of my friends want to see which movies when it comes to planning a movie night. And being able to rate/review the movie right from my iPhone and having it post to my Facebook profile is pretty cool too.

I use this app all the time to get the showtimes of the theatres in my area. I love the ability to save theatres as your favorites. It's a free app, so you have to suffer through some pop-ups and ads, but it offers so much and is so beautifully designed that it doesn't matter. I love the video trailers, too. I haven't been using my browser to check out movie theatres and showtimes once since I installed this application!

I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are all about. From this application I can see what time the films are being shown, from all the cinemas I know of in at least 10 miles. I can book tickets,read reviews and see trailers from upcomming movies. So what would there be to comlain about. ? And yes I live in the U.K. This is one of the most used applications on my phone. What so what more do you want from a free application?

I HATE the new icon

First let me say, I used this app right when it started out as a Webapp. I have continued to use it throughtout as my prime source for movie info. The new UI in the App is gorgeous. The old icon (in my opinion) was perfect. It complemented the UI. It completed the App. However, after I updated and saw the new Icon I have to say I am contemplating switching movie apps. PLEASE remedy this issue for those of us who like our icons to be aesthetically pleasing and not popcorn clip art.

This app is simply what other developers need to learn from. This is not just some app that was put out there to waste space, this is actually useful. The updates are just getting better, especially this new face-lift update! I love all the info you can get about one movie and even look at DVDs out to rent. I would like to see more theaters in my town though... There are a lot, but more than one listing would be wonderful. Other than that this app is amazing. Keep up the good work!!!

Not much else to say! Great for when you want to see a movie but you don't have a paper with the showtimes and theaters on you; this lists them all and does so accurately. Very easy to use and has an attractive enough interface. Access to reviews from both users and critics as well as one-click (or touch, I guess) links to the specific IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes pages. I think you can buy tickets thru it, but I'm not sure. Has trailers, too. A must-have for any movie-goer. As for the ads, they only come up when you load the app, and they seem to all be for movies. A non-issue, and for those who like trailers and finding out about new films it's a plus. What are you waiting for? Get it now.

This is an app, made great by the iPhone, which makes the iPhone great. It's free, it makes seemless use of Internet and GPS, and integrates neatly with Maps and phone to provide a useful and user-friendly service. Locating nearby cinemas and displaying all movies and showing times, plus the cinemas location, phone number, film synopsis, film reviews, IMDB entry, trailer, while making this information accessible and logical - this is a real achievement, the developers should look to where else they can apply their talent.

I just downloaded the latest version of Movies on my iPhone and I must say this is a beautifully designed app! It's very fitting and has an Apple-level quality to it. I have one suggestion, under the "Theaters" selection a 3rd tab for "Favorite Theaters" would help clean up the "Theaters Near Postal" and "Theaters By Name" lists.
I like the addition of DVD releases and Upcoming movies.
Over all I think you have the best looking and easiest to use movie finding app.

The most amazing app I have downloaded. I was going out of town and put in that areas zip code and wow It gave me all information I needed for that area. There is so much information on Movies, Actors, Actresses and What the Movie is about. It tells what theaters are in the area you are looking. Even has directions from start to finish of how to get to the theaters. Anyone who likes going to Movies, This is a must have App

This app has to be the one of the most useful apps in the app store, and I don't even watch that much movies. The UI is a pick up and play interface, numerous people that had never used this app before were able to find a movie, watch the trailer and get the times it was playing at. I know that a pick up and play interface can be very challenging sometimes to incorporate so well done and looking forward to any updates you can do to an already amazing app.

Super convenient application that gives you all the information regarding movies in and out of the theaters. So, when you're in the mood for a great movie but have no access to a computer this will help guide you to the nearest theater at the right time and it is also equipped with trailers and reviews of movies so you know what you are watching! But the indecision of what movie to watch still remains! If it could only read my mind....

Well I love Fandango, but this app has more happiness, creativeness, etc. Fandago just seems to plain! :) I love this app, i love watching trailers on the go because whenever i go to the movies, my friends are like "what movie, what movie?" and im like what movies are there, but now i dont have to do that cause i have this app. by the way, i go my iphone last thursday and I LOVE IT, even though its not the 3GS!
