Reviews:
The best budgeting app (for monthly budgeting) By: gressyt - Nov 14, 2009 Version: 1.96 For my money this is the best budgeting app that I have found. It is very flexible in that I can adjust the budgets from month to month. The main screen makes it clear how much you have spent on each budget and how much money you have left. There is also a graph which gives you a snapshot of your spending over time. One important note is that this app is great for monthly budgeting but is tedious to use for any other time periods. It is possible but it is not as fluid as it is with other apps like Ace Budget. I give this app 5 stars because I am paid monthly and I am able to keep tabs on my money for that period with incredible accuracy with this app.
Budget a good buy. By: Emlyn Lewis-Jones - 11-Nov-2008 Version: 1.3 I use this app every day as a detailed tracking of my finances - income and expenses. I recently emailed contents to my accountant who was able to load it directly to an excel file. It is an easy to organise, easy to use and looks great. A little more detail and options for the graphing component would be an improvement. eg a comparrison between outgoing and incoming amounts. But as it stands, it is still great. Thankyou
OMG This App Rox! By: Toveracre - Aug 9, 2008 Version: 1.2 i downloaded this app thinking it will be good to watch my basic budget, but it is so much more. this budget app really lets you customize it for what you need. i made mine VERY detailed for keeping track of all aspects of my family's spending, yet you can also keep it to just a few simple categories to keep an eye on things. once you have the categories & budget set (which took me 20 mins for about a 15 category list) then daily you just tap the category enter the $ amount and save. the app does the rest for you. you can set repeated payments where you choose when, how often & even how long. for example, i have my monthly bills scheduled to repeat once a month every month, our car payments have the timeframe set up to the date that the car loan is paid off so that it stops automatically. another example is with our insurance, it gets paid 3 times during the year and i am able to set that up too. there is alot you can do with this app that you can't do with others (i've tried several) $2 well spent!! ***to the developer: you really made this a perfect app, & i love that the info can be exported. one idea that i have for you is to make the information syncable with another iphone that also has this program. this way families can have the same info on the family's budget & more people will be buying it per household & that means you can make more $$. ;-)
The Best By: Cartoonguy - Aug 10, 2008 Version: 1.2 I love this application. I have been looking for a good budgeting application for the IPhone, and this is it!!! I differ with those who complain it's too complicated. I'm an older only moderately computer savvy person, and I sat down started clicking buttons and had it figured out in under one half hour. Believe me, if I could figure it out you will have no problem. In my opinion this application is worth 10 times the price they charge for it.
Works great By: Scott6666 - Jul 15, 2008 Version: 1.0 A nice little app. I've been using it every day to track my expenses. Like the fact that you can set a monthly budget rather than just inputing items. Easy enough to add your own categories. Can't figure out why people say it's confusing. There are inputs where the default is set for you. Perhaps people think those cannot be changed. I was a little confused at first that I was supposed to change them but now that I know, easy.
Right On Target By: Roscoe Eugenius - Aug 10, 2008 Version: 1.2 Surprisingly this app is one of the few I could find that were simple yet feature-rich enough to be truly helpful. I, like many of you, have downloaded most of the free money/budget apps and a few paid ones...none of which actually prove to be as useful as this app. It has helpful tip screens thoughout and makes it easy to learn in a very short amount of time. From allowing new categories to automatically alphabetizing them to giving you full control over repeating transactions, this app is a gem. If only my desktop software for Mac OS would make or complete a dedicated iPhone app like this one, I would be berry happy. However, until that day comes, I'll make good use of the export feature (CSV format) and import that data into my desktop software as needed. One tip, especially if you have an iPhone case that makes it hard to type or touch the very edge of you screen, you might find it difficult to access the "other features" menu that is reached by pressing the little "i" icon at the bottom right of the main screen. I have to take my case off before I press that area of the screen. All on all, a first rate app for a great price. Way to go Developer!
Great on-the-go budgeting app By: AnthraciteAngel - Nov 8, 2008 Version: 1.41 I keep careful track of my expenses and have a hard time remembering to go home and type each one into my budget at home. This is great - I add them wherever I am, as they happen. Good features: Auto-sum feature makes recurring bills possible. Allows you to set up individual categories and track spending in each one. Income tracked as well. Import/export feature. Good job Deskescape - I use this one regularly!
Great Program By: Apps3 - Aug 9, 2008 Version: 1.2 Well written program. I updated to 1.2 and did not lose my data. You should always sync before updating any program as that issue seems to be with all programs. But isn't consistent. With 1.2 the export feature is great. The only thing I'd like to see different with this program is to have the note displayed below the item instead of the category when you look at all the transactions for that category.
It's only $2 bucks! By: Amuzjay - Jul 27, 2008 Version: 1.1 People, do you complain about your 99 cent double cheese burger too? This is a great app! Does what it says it does. No, it isn't Quicken. Ask Quicken for their $2 app-:)Any-who, can't wait to see what the updates are. No major bugs here! How about when you turn you iPhone vertical, you get bar graphs by category and be able to toggle by months totals too. Then this would be a $10 app! Keep up the good work!
Great Program! By: Vortec4800 - Jan 7, 2009 Version: 1.52 This is a great program for tracking a simple budget. Many of the programs available to do financial tracking are way too advanced for what I want to do, I just want to keep track of my bills for the month and my income to make sure I keep on top of everything. This does exactly what I need in a very convenient way! I've had a few minor crashes from the program, but I'm sure bug fixes and updates in the future will clear those up. It hasn't caused any major problems. I would like to see an update to the input keypad when you're putting in the amount for something, a full keyboard comes up when you only need to input numbers. A large 10-key numberpad would be a lot easier to use, and an automatic decimal system as well. For example if I needed to put in $15.78 I would just type 1578 and the decimal would always be after 2 places. The FuelGauge program does this when putting in price and gallons of fuel and it works great. Keep up the good work, I'd say this was money well spent!

Great App! By: JL*6789 - Jan 22, 2009 Version: 1.70 This app is great! Hard to understand at first, but once you do the app works wonders! I like the fact that they have put password protection on it and that they have added the weekly and biweekly feature for budgeting. Maybe if they could add the option to save an image like a receipt for example, since sometimes hard to take the time out to add a transaction on the go and would be easier to snap a pic of a receipt so I can store it and add the info later. Just a thought. Great app nonetheless and does everything it should! Very happy with my choice! :)
Exactly what I wanted By: Finance76 - Feb 10, 2009 Version: 1.70 I follow a system if budgeting called YNAB and this us the only app I have found that fits my needs. The rollover of remainders is fantastic and allows you to budget for large upcoming expenses before they happen. The only thing I wish they would add is a budgeting screen for the previous months income. I am self employed so I never know exactly what my income is going to be. Yes the interface is basic but it is well thought out and loaded with functionality. Overall a great product.
Nice App By: #1 Colts Fan - Jul 16, 2008 Version: 1.0 This is a nice basic app for keeping a budget. Nothing more, nothing less. Don't expect anything Earth shattering here but it does it's job and does it well. The people that posted reviews saying it's confusing probably wonder how much postage for email costs these days. Seriously folks, took me 2.3 seconds to figure out how to remove the default entries and create my own. The user interface isn't written for a 2 year old but it's not rocket science either. While I'm still testing the full features of this app, if I find myself wanting to use it more and more, I'll drop Excel on my Mac as my budget app of choice. So far the only feature I'd like to see added is a "difference" sumation. Basically it would take your total income minus total expenses and show you your difference (hopefully positive! lol). Anyway, the app is definately worth a measly $2.
Great Program BUT... By: tmwalker - Dec 1, 2008 Version: 1.52 Great Program, as mentioned previously, a bit tricky to get,but once you get it Great Program. One small item that would be great to see, is a what is left number in the category budget section on the main page. I want to be extra efficient, I prefer not to go searching for what I have left in a category I want to see it beneath what I have already spend, so when I look I know immediately if I can buy another pair of shoes :)
incredibly useful By: A-D - Dec 6, 2008 Version: 1.52 Having always struggled with understanding where my money went - I have found this App incredibly useful. It took a little bit to get used to it, but once I was up and running - I seemed to instantly have a better understanding of my finances. Plus, since I don't go anywhere without my phone - I don't have much of an excuse for not inputing reciepts into the program. Overall - a great app and hopefully it will save me more than $2 in the long run.
Perfect for my uses By: Jeff Waraksa - Dec 29, 2008 Version: 1.52 I've been keeping track of all my income and expenses with this easy to use app. It takes about 8 seconds to input an expense in a category AND add details about it (where, when, what). I love it! The only criticism: I leave notes/details about every expense, and would like to see them when I open a category. They could be listed below the transaction instead of the category name because that's already on the top of the page. Thanks!
Great app By: ciccarello - Jan 6, 2009 Version: 1.70 This is worth the $2 if you need to manage your money. I think this app will only get better over time. I would like to be able to view my expenses all together in one graph with different colors for each, maybe even be able to change the colors for each. Also the savings report should save the months you enter rather than having to reset them each time. Update: I would like to be able to set alerts for recurring payments. Not an alert that shows when you open the app. One that shows up when u turn the phone on, like the calander alerts.Update: please add panaramic view for graphs.Update: new features are great. I wish some of the descriptions where better. Still an awesome app. Though
Flexible By: Dhaataaram - Jan 10, 2009 Version: 1.70 I was a little hesitant, but I bought it and I'm very impressed. I appreciate that you don't actually have to have budget numbers for your categories - you can just track how much you spend and how much you earn and know at a glance how you're doing. The flexibility to name your categories, order them how you want to, enter a quick amount by tapping the category total or a more detailed entry by tapping the category name, all make me very pleased. It seems they've incorporated some of the feedback from earlier reviews. The only lag I experience is moving between months, other than that it's always smooth.I haven't tapped the more advanced features yet but I'm looking forward to it. Very good, handy app for tracking your spending.
Great useful app! By: Jdtmolina - May 3, 2009 Version: 1.92 I use this app on a daily basis about 3 or 5 times a day. I track all my expenses quickly and easily and it lets me know exactly how much of my budget I have left. There are a couple of things that could improved, but overall it is a fantastic app. The developer keeps sending updates that make the app far more worthwhile than its inexpensive price. This is definitely an app I recommend anyone how wants to manage their budget. Thanks!!
Great app; used every day By: Leftoverpanic - May 4, 2009 Version: 1.92 This app keeps getting better and better. The updates have been great so far and I always look forward to new ones.A couple of things that would be great for a future update:1) To see what percentage of a buget is being spent at a specific buisness. I enter the buisness in the decription.2) It could be easier to use a number pad instead of a numeric keypad to speed up amount entries.I like the latest update that lets you enter in previous description fields. This app has hepled me know what I can afford for my first mortgage.". I'm going to persue buying a house now... Thanks!
