I Mama By: Sopeoprah - Aug 21, 2009 Version: 1.0.2 This game is so much fun! I can't wait until they update it with more recipies! The only problem with this app is that whenever I make a dish it crashes and exits right after I finish the last step! I don't know if this is the game or if I need to restore my phone again but if it's the game please fix it soonOh and improved instructions would be nice (like example videos or something)
Great adaptation By: P2n1a - Aug 17, 2009 Version: 1.0.2 I have all of the Mama games, including Gardening Mama, and I think this is a great adaptation for the iPod Touch/iPhone.For those of you complaining about the few recipies, there is other content in the game. Try the Cooking Challenge. Once you unlock all of the prep/cooking methods, you'll have a ton of other things to master. Not to mention getting gold medals on all the recipies.I do have one major gripe, and that is the crash on the omelet recipe. Once this gets fixed, I'll be a happy chef!
SUUMMMEERRxo By: lifeisnoteasy - Aug 4, 2009 Version: 1.0.2 this is my favorite game on my ipod touch. it is sooo fun and it can keep me occupied for a long time. mine has not crashed yet at all. graphics and music are adorable. deff consider getting it, as it is way more fun and amusing than the lite version. my only complaint is that there is really not that many recipes and you will unlock all of them in 30 minutes. please update & add more fun recipes! =]
For those who are having trouble stirring/mixing... By: or1j1nal - Mar 18, 2009 Version: 1.0 Okay, first off, just to help those who do not know how to stir or mix at will, there is a VERY SIMPLE way to do it. Simply tap the bottom half of the ladle or what ever is being used to stir the contents in the pot and you will see it move around in a circle. That's all there is to it, no need to swipe or move your finger in a circular motion, just tap it once and it will stir itself. Click YES if you had no idea that stirring was that simple! Also, I have been reading about how people say that 15 dishes is way too short and is not worth the price. Well let me just start by asking why they would expect a game to rival that of the Nintendo DS when it's only $6.99? Think about it, most DS games go for about $39.99 plus tax new. So that's about $43.00 including tax right? The DS version has about 76 different recipes in it, however, that is to be expected as it did cost about $43.00. Now look at the iPhone, this game was only about $7 and you get 15 recipes. To expect more than that would be ridiculous compared to how much you are spending on it. For the DS version of the game, you get about a 1.77 ratio of recipes per dollar. Looking at this iPhone game, you get about a 2.1 ratio of recipes per dollar. According to the ratio, the price is well worth it because of the higher ratio. If you were to wish for more recipes then the price of this app wouldn't be $6.99, it would be a lot more if you were to do the math. So stop complaining about how short the game is compared to other systems as it is just a mobile version of the game.
Addictive! By: PoppyCat7 - 01-Mar-2009 Version: 1.0 This is such a good game and works really well on the iphone it's not bad value for money when you think that it costs £20-£30 on the DS it just needs more recipe's as there are only 15. Though it's fun too go back and perfect your scores. There is also a cooking contest mode which adds too the game. I highly recomend this game hopefully we can get an update in the future with more recipes.
It's finally on the iPod touch! By: Jessica1982 - Mar 17, 2009 Version: 1.0 When I first got the iPod touch, I was surprised that no one had brought the interactivity of "Cooking Mama" to it, but it turns out that they were working on it after all! That bring said, this is almost 100% as fun as the Nintendo DS version, and a good deal cheaper.
I enjoy "chopping, frying, rolling, and dicing," and I'm completely pleased that I shelled out the money for this game. Simple, pleasing, and outstanding... except when the touch isn't responding. But, that's no fault of the game. Grade: A (but please add some more recipes!)

Fantastic Game By: -Gemma - 02-Aug-2009 Version: 1.0.2 Cooking Mama has been adapted brilliantly for the iPhone/iPod Touch. It is a little on the expensive side, priced at £3.99 it is one of the more expensive apps. However, you get what you pay for, Cooking Mama is easy to play, has nice graphics and can provide endless hours of fun. The only downside I can think of, is that it doesn't support multi-touch. This isn't at all needed to play the game, but sometimes when holding the device sideways, your thumb can slightly touch the side of the screen, which makes the action you are trying to complete impossible until you move your thumb. This may not seem like a major issue, but it does happen rather a lot and can get frustrating when you fail the mini-game. Apart from that one downside the game is fantastic, definite value for money, and worthy of 5 stars.

Needs more recipes By: My lite be better - Nov 9, 2009 Version: 1.0.2 Needs more recipes and after the cupcake level it crashes. Look atthe ds version for ideas on new recipes to add and you better fix the cupcake thing I'm really mad first I buy the app for seven bucks than it crashes and I can't level up than u fix and I keep playing than I get to the cupcake level and it crashes after I get gold in the level than I delete some of my eighty some odd apps and restart my sixteen gig iPhone so it should work but it didn't and now I'm mad Please fix
Very nice... By: lpotr4 - Feb 26, 2009 Version: 1.0 Awesome game, loved it on the NDS and I'm happy that it's finally ported over to the App Store. The play mechanics is similar to the DS version, you go thru the game chopping, slicing, dicing, peeling, etc. to complete a dish in an alotted time frame to make 'Mama' proud, and there's no need for a stylus (which IMHO makes it more responsive for me). Graphics is excellent and I have not experience any lag in play -- very stable so far. It might be perceived as pricey for some, but for a top tier game (which we need more of) and comparing it to the NDS version, it is a good buy. ime to chop, chop, chop! :-)
Wow! By: Orion3G - Feb 26, 2009 Version: 1.0 I'm VERY impressed. After games like Super Monkey Ball failing to control and play well, I was amazed how faithful this game is to the console versions! It's like having the ds game but with wii controls AND touch controls. Best of both worlds!!! Btw, it's really funny when Mama gets angry. I love the fire eyes :D. Buy it now! Best 7 bucks I spent in the App store so far. Btw, other great games are Pharos IV, Solar Quest, I love Katamari, Pocket God, Light Bike, Jelly Car, ect :D

Cooking Mama By: DrummingThunder - 29-Jun-2009 Version: 1.0 This is overall a fun game with a few minor discrepancies - for example, it eats away at your battery life like a very hungry caterpillar. Granted, there aren't as many recipes as can be found on the DS or Wii versions of the game, but then again, this IS £20 less than the console iterations. One gameplay issue I have found is that during the 'stew' sections of the game, it is impossible for me to mix the ingredients - I can't figure out for the life of me what to do, but that can probably be put down to my personal ineptness. Aside from these minor quibbles, Cooking Mama is one of the best games available on the App store, and a solid counterpart to it's console brothers (or should that be sisters?).
Needs more recipes By: Maite Goitia - 22-May-2009 Version: 1.0 I was a bit hesitant because of the price but ended up caving in. I'm a person who loves cooking in real life, this is just as fun but without the mess! The thing is, I've managed to get a gold medal on all the recipes within a day and I still want to cook more. To fix this problem they'll need to add more recipes, A LOT MORE! That way, everyone will feel like the money was worth it and we'll all continue to rave about it.
So bottom line, more recipes please!
Pretty good... By: Colton1499 - Mar 27, 2009 Version: 1.0 $6.99 is a bit pricey though... It only has 15 recipes which I've already completed so I'm hoping for an update soon...
The Good:
•Good Graphics.
•Fun Recipes.
•Challenging to try to get a Gold for all 15 recipes.
The Bad:
•Replayibility? None.
•Needs more recipes.
•Kneading the dough is VERY hard (for me at least) and I always Fail that one.
Overall... A 4 out of 5...

More dishes please! By: clickhappy - 22-Mar-2009 Version: 1.0 Always wanted to try out Cooking Mama, but balked at forking out £24 for the game on Wii. Jumped at the chance of £3.99 - fun and addictive as predicted, BUT please, like all the other reviewers said, PLEASE PLEASE update with more dishes! 15 is not enough, went through all of it within a week. True, its still fun going back perfecting your scores, but would love more dishes, and if possible, combinations of dishes ect. Would've been a 5 star otherwise, extremely addictive and fun!
Not many games get me excited like this. By: MartinYao - 1-Mar-2009 Version: 1.0 Really, not too many iPhone makes me feel such anticipated about, it surely uses well the accelerometer in the device and making it to have like a combination gameplay of DS and Wii. The game seems nice for being an iPhone game.
Well, just Taito, as I know it is the Cooking Mama japan publisher of this tittle, who did not put too much time onto polishing the game, for being a fan I can see the game makes me feeling like little cut-and-paste from previous version on such situation graphically, the zoom-out at the end, the FINISH screen shows the problem and other places and also there is lack of my favrourite "EVEN BETTA THAN MAMA" voice acting!?
Looking forward for more games from the publisher and improvement updates on the game!
