To all of the hunter haters who keep posting bad reviews you should shut your mouth. You don't know anything even if you think you do, you don't so shut the hell up! Hunters help the environment more than y'all do. Believe it or not, hunters DO care bout the environment and the animals they hunt. A percentage of the profit off of each hunting licens and hunting gear goes to environmental organizations to help the environment. Deer are also very overpopulated, and would die a worse death then by the quick less painful shot of a gun or bow. Also how is killing deer any different then killing cows and other live stock, at least deer have a chance to live, the live stock don't. Deer have plenty of defenses against hunters, their nose & ears are one of the most sensitive in the animal kingdom. Oh and there have been deer attacks on humans, a man was attacked by a buck while he was out scoutin for hunting season, a woman was out jogging in the park and got attacked by a buck ( these are just a few examples). So next time you wanna complain bout hunting, you better go whine to your little gay animal activist buddies

This is a great game! It could use some tweaks, but is better than most any shooter/sniper type game on the iPhone. It is a little slow and country. But that is not a bad thing, it is just not a typical shooter, ie Halo, Quake, Doom, Gears, etc. And with these other reviews what do you expect it's called Deer Hunter. Not Tree Hugger or Prius Driver. It is a good game about hunting deer. Does it encourage killing animals? Well we all argue that video game violence doesn't encourage killing people. So why the double standard? I like the game, I do not hunt, but will not condem those who do. Most people like a good steak, you can not pick that off a tree and at least the deer has a chance, not much can be said for the cow I had for lunch. Sounds like a cheesy commercial: I own a new Prius, am an environentalist and like Deer Hunter for the iPhone.

This is a pretty fun game, my favorite part Is that you get to see your shot and all the info on the deer. The controls are good and the visuals are pretty good. You obviously would never have such perfect chances but whatever. Fun overall. What is it with people talking about killing animals? 50 years ago in Ukraine if you refused ANY food you died. So stop with all this Junk. Plants are living too, soo why dont we only eat chemicals? Mmmm sounds delicious.

Socialist fools like Maria say ban this game because it invokes violence. Personally, I think it invokes necessary skills needed when attempting to eat healthy food. Maria and her other Hitler-supporting friends (Hitler was a socialist like Obama), say that killing animals for food is wrong, but killing babies through abortion is their "choice". How heartless and confused they are!! By the way, this app is awesome!! DEER JERKY FOR EVERYONE!!!

first off people kill deer for sport and for the meat, get over it, but the majority of hunters eat the meat it's unethical not to. Also you can mount the deer (putting its head on the wall) and not be hunting for sport. Think about it who in the hell eats brains and eyes and whatever else is on the head unless they have to. Mounting is just a way to show off that you killed a bigger animal because the bigger the rack the longer its lived you god damn hippies. this is also a great app.

... At least, they are life-like until you blow their guts out LOL!!! You can aim to wound the animals instead of topping them, then they hop aroud... Pretty funny. And another funny bit is the "shoot the squirrels" bonus level where you just open up and blow away cute little squirrels. They do a little backflips when you off them. Hilarious. Lots of fun - try it, it's free... Nothing to lose!!!

This is a fun lite version. It's pretty short, but I still enjoy it. As a developer I like the aiming system (you actually have to drag the crosshairs to aim, and your gun wobbles). The realism is pretty good, because an animal shot squarely through the chest sometimes runs off, just like real life. Nevertheless, it is irritating that these animals are not counted as kills. From the description, this is fixed in the full version, which I will probably end up buying. Get it, definitely.

I don't like death. Yet I still go and hunt every day. Why? Because it is the only way my family can get food. Please. We kill the animal. Sell the skins. Eat every single piece of meat I like the brain. Then we make either knives or jewelry out of the bones and sell them. And I'm no hill Billy. I live in new jersey... I use every part. We don't kill for fun. We kill to survive. Plus humans are deers predator. There are so many deer that they will overpopulated just like humans are doing. That's why it's hard to get food. I think it is cruel to hunt and not use the body. But even squirells make good gloves and a small snack. My dad even ate a chipmunk. Ok. That is cruel. U can't use chipmuck fur or bones. And it gas lil meat. So who agrees with me

I'm from montana where during hunting season every pickup either has a rifle in the cab or a dead deer in the bed. For all you activists and antihunters, with how controlled hunting is all it does is help keep deer ppulation at a healthy level so they don't over populate an area and starve or greatly increase there chances of getting run over. To those of you who say deer are over populated because we kill there predator we are there predators. Most people who hunt eat the meat and are very careful not to throw away anything they can use. And yes there have been countless deer attacks on people. By the way leave peoples parents out of arguements it's a low blow that has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Don't hunt if you don't want to but don't bad mouth people who do. By the way just because we hunt doesn't mean we are hillbillies. Alot of people even pray after they kill a deer or any animal for that fact. App as potential needs work. Don't download the app just to comment and badmouth hunters. Pretty cool app.. Not too bad on realism something that would b nice too c would be the ability to walk on your own. Also i agree with the previous poster about the targeting other than that not too bad. Maybe something that shut up the cry babies would be to add an addotion where u cook and then eat the deer meat. Also aside from animals natural preditors, with out hunting the population would become over populated, and due the lack of food a majority of the population would die of starvation. But hey maybe u would rather they die a slow painfull death where the meat might to waste rather than a quick death where the meat gets used... Think about it

I really like this game and plan on purchasing the 'pay' version. However, I have one beef with it. I think that the reticle on the scope for the rifle is too floaty. After the first shot, it takes too long after moving the scope for the reticle to rejoin the shot picture. I'd like the game much better if it was adjusted somewhere between the deer rifle settings and the squirrel settings. Otherwise, a very fun game to play.

Santa here and im not too happy 6 of my deer were shot including rudalph all thx to this game we now have headlites they got lost in the game last week in an atempt to rescue the deer. guess who killed the raindeer it was me santa! I know irs horrible. Mrs clause gave me the new iphone and i got this app and now i feel bad ( but at the moment when i shot them it was funny i highly recomend this app) well see you on christmas HO HO HO :) Ps i exist

This is without doubt the finest game I have ever played, not just on the iPhone, but on any games console. Sit back and enjoy the privilege of awesome graphics, sound, and gameplay. Oh, and did I mention that you get to wipe out a few wild animals as well. Quite simply spectacular.

I don't know why other people don't really like this game. Controls are quite hard to get used to, but once you do, it is very fun. I try to kill them when they are running away and then look at my kills in the trophy room =)
