The most fun fish i had, but a little too easy but fun i compete with friends for the biggest fish. And my wife holds the record for a 1300lbs marlin. Theres still more play in this game i havent caught 3 more fish i wonder if one of them is a black marlin. Im hoping to catch it one of these dayz. Owned this app for 3 months and still trying to catch the big one.
Please more fish and poles and line upgrades, or adding skindiving something, i dont want to stop playing but it is getting repetitive.
Hopefully there will be a Flick Fishing Part 2 (worldwide edition) hint hinti gave u an idea lol i want some of the royalties lmao.
This is amazing

Wow now this is fun, I can't ask for more but here is what I would like to see added :
More locations, deffenetly more fish to catch like sharks and wales :) mmm like different lures and rodes and maybe like actually drive the boat at a big lake and fish I dunno I'm getting too deep. I love this game really nice graphics nice gameplay really simple. I was stunned by how easy the menu was to navigate . One of the beat games here on the iPhone!!!!!

This is a really well made Fishing game. It has lots of ingame features to keep you amused, speak to the ol salty lighthouse keeper who'll give you quests to catch certain things and give you hints and tips. Simply lure and fish or if you think you're elite enough enter tournaments against the CPU or other players. Keep record of fish you've caught and brag to others. It's not real fishing but its as close to it and less of a hassle as you'll get in game form!
Softly Softly Catchee Monkey..
Great app. Would be even better with fly fishing.
By: JJJJonny - Jan 2, 2009
First of all, let me tell you this app is great. Not only is it the best fishing game on iTunes, it also has wonderful graphics, a mission mode, and endless replayability. I suggest game to anyone looking at this right now. Please Freeverse, add fly fishing capability. It would be so much fun to whip out a fly and watch as a fish jumps up to bite it. Overall this app is fantastic, but I would love a good fly fishing mode.
Wow. I can't stop fishing!

This is a terrific app. I am hooked, pardon the pun. Great sounds, like seagulls and wind and waves splashing. Gives you the feeling that you're out there fishing. It's challenging enough to keep you entertained. Even my wife who can't be bothered with learning how to play most games likes this one. She pesters me for time to go fishing. Her big complaint; you can't keep the fish. She hates to release them. I give this five stars!

Normally when you see fishing games on computers you instantly think that they are only played by sad unshaved old men. This game however is really fun. You don't have to know all the ins and outs of fishing, just pick
it up and play. Flick the screen forward to cast the line out then twirl your finger around to reel your fish in. The fish will fight against you pulling it in and sometimes even the line may snap if you overdo it. You can catch
all kinds of wonderful fish and have tournaments to see who can catch the largest against CPU or human player. If you buy one game for your phone this month, you'd be a Cod to miss this one!
so good i would pay £10.00

this game is spectacular..i am into fishing u may think im lying but i broke the carp record so i should know how good this game has to be to exeed my targets and it has.. i have bought alot of games for my ipod touch and they are worth alot more money than this one and this is much better than the lot of them...buy now before it goes up in price and be careful it doesnt fly out of your hand when you cast!!
Addictive! Great Fun

Don't hesitate to purchase one of the most addictive fishing games! My wrist and fingers ache from the hundreds of fish I have caught. It may seem a liitle simple for those into a simulated fishing app in terms of equipment and lack of movement in the rod, but the basic cast and then reel (pausing to let out line and release tension) works well and is fun with the great visuals. Has a nice brag function which raises the stakes with friends to spend hours getting that rare whopper to be the iPhone fishing king. It's worth alot more than the small asking price, go fishing now! Certainly the best looking fishing app available.

Would like another packwith 2 more locations like a super waves of doom way deep and maybe a place which is half waves of doom and half blue deeps with new fish like sharks ocean sunfish and small mouth bass and maybe even some WHALES!!!! Also a new game like small catch where u see who catches the smallest fish and an around the world where u go to each location caching fish over a certain weight and if the 1st fish u catch isn't over you can stay or chance it with maybe getting sent to the begginging plzzzzzzz!!!! LISTEN!!!!!
Part of iphone history

A wonderful game, the graphics are superb, game play is addictive and it has plenty of nice little touches. There is plenty of scope for updates in new locations and new fish, but the game already starts with a wide variety of both, more than anyone would have been happy with to start. Credit has to go to the crew who made this, its a fine achievement, the first really great game I've come across for the platform, they have aimed high and given us a fine game. C'est magnifique! and for all for 59p
this kind of beauty will save the world!
Best App Hands Down
By: Kalintk - 24-Feb-2009
This easily is the best game on the store. The game is so addictive. I have people come up to me asking to use my iphone just to play this game.
We have competitions between mates and it is the most talked about application around. Definately worth getting.
Only problem is if you could ad more quests. It gets repeatative when you finish the quests and catch all the fish.
Still easily the best game.
Fun arcade fishing

-Great sound and graphics, like the old Sony fishing games
-Good controls, reel is a circular motion like the iPod.
-3D elements are nice, such as a duck or seagulls, it would be cool if you could interact with them or add more wildlife.
-For a buck you can't go wrong!
-Sometimes I cast (really far) unexpectedly just by holding the iPhone. An option to reduce sensitivity or press a button to cast would be nice.
-The floater is 3d but the water is not, still looks good but the physics are off. For example in the deep sea the floater goes into the sky, and when casting far it should get smaller.
-You can move the rod but doesn't affect the gameplay. When you pull up it should help fight the fish and increase line tension.
Overall, a great game for the price. Has local wifi or pass the iPhone (no online). iFishing has worse graphics but more depth (such as driving a boat around). In the future I would love to see Flick Fishing add more locations / sub-locations and the ability to move the camera (and cast where you want). 5 stars.
FANTASTIC Fishing Game.

An addicting game even for people who have never been fishing. Realistic movements when casting the line and when reeling in the fish carefully and strategically. Many different fish, bait and places to fish. Well worth the and it's easy to get hooked to the game. There is also a mission mode and difficulty levels. Also love how you can talk to the fash and play cards with them before releasing them and sometimes if you are smart, you can lure them onto your BBQ and cook em. Great Game overall! Get Emoji

This is the best fishing game out there! It has a very good game design and the audio and graphics are fantastic. Realistic because you really have to "fight" the fish carefully. A note to the developers though, there have been times when I've reeled in a 100+ lb Wahoo (which is an awesome fighter in real life) faster than it took me to reel in a mullet (which I normally catch with my net). Great game though; I love the new features on the latest build.
Keep up the good work!!

great game all around, but can we have more fish?? Please add the mahi mahi!! One more tip: change the icon. This game seems to center round catching marlin/swordfish/sailfish, so why not have one of those on the icon nstead of bass? I was skeptical of buying this game at first; i looked at the icon, saw the bass and thought this would be another BORING freshwater fishing game. Of course, all in all, this game BLOWS ALL OTHER FISHING APPS UT OF THE WATER!

Great and addicting game. I had an epic battle with a 1100 lb swordfish and won. Somehow it didn't count as a record breaker but good thing is that it's logged under swordfish. Some things need to be fixed. I know 16lb is rather large for a sea bass but it shouldn't take 3 minutes to catch it when I could catch an average 200lb sailfish in under a minute.
Edit: just caught a Hank Marlin!! For anyone who cares it weighed 2887.50lb . It's found in the calm sea using a lure.
Edit: got a smiling inigo(swordfish) took me over 10 minutes. It was on regular and not xtreme so it was only 2200.
Also oddly night fishing is a 5 star place and the carp are ridiculous. A 50 pound carp gave me a fight equilvalent to smiling inigo. I thought for sure it was gonna be a monster.

Great great app.. Very satisfying
Full of charm and quality
Looking forward to updates on this app
Get it now before the price goes up..
Get it even if you miss the sale..
You guys (developers) are out of your minds to charge for updates!!
Updates should always be free
***Charge for special lures.. New tackle box... Better bait... New poles.. Higher test strength line... common sense guys
>NEVER CHARGE FOR AN UPDATE!!
And if you do... It's got to transform the game to a whole new level of quality to justify another dollar or more....
Not just a new area and a few extra fish...
Don't screw yourselves up developers
You guys were doing SO well..
I hope this doesn't become the norm in the app store... That would be bad
don't encourage this kind of business

Great job Freeverse, I have played the others and they are awful..
- The others use photos of a lake with no TRUE water movement
- The others have inferior controls and gameplay
- The others make me look at and listen to a backwoods type guy in flannel and tight jeans
- The others do NOT have good galleries of what you catch
FLICK FISHING on the other hand has:
- An outstanding gallery of what you catch
- Awesome gameplay and controls - It may take you some time to realize just how much depth there is here in the controls!
- So much diversity in the fishing environments. There is a morning scene with Fog around an island straight ahead, a night scene with crashing tides and a lighthouse with a blinding light which looks awesome, and a few other different scenes.
Freeverse, AMAZING JOB on this one...PLEASE keep it updated with new environments and new fish, you will have a winner here for life!!!

Overall this is quite an addictive game. There's a really nice selection of venues all with really nice animation and effects. There is also a huge range of fish to be caught. However, as a keen angler there are a few flaws such as it seems the further out you have to cast the bigger the fish you catch, do carp really take lures? And lure fishing is generally not just a case of cast out and hope for the best. Don't bother playing the CPU, you just won't win, and why when the fish energy level gets low does it still fight the same as when the energy level is high? Not very realistic though for 59p it's brilliantly addictive and easily the best fishing game for the iPhone.
By: iTunes777 - Jun 23, 2009
I think the team that made this game should release an update for the game that would allow it to use Push Nodifications that would be sent to you if someone wanted to challange you over Bluetooth or Wifi, if someone in your fishing net caught a bigger fish and if new items were available for purchase at the Village Shop in Flick Fishing.
If you have been giving games bad reviews please restart your iPod after installing each game.
