This game takes me so far back! I've rediscovered the old scorched earth game every 3 or 4 years since it came out. And now iShoot... Perfect! I lose so many hours to this game, I don't even understand why haha. It's just too fun. I've had this installed since release and still play for about an hour in bed every night. One wish: Add napalm, like the old games! Ok, one more wish: add cave levels like the old game too :) the extra pain in the butt of upsidedown mountains was fun every now and then. Cheers!

5 Great things about this app:
1-impeccable graphics
2-undeniable playability/replayability
3-comprehensive weapons selection
4-compelling advancing levels with higher difficulties and easier availibility of higher-end weapons
5-can play with another player(s) if available
However, i've read the reviews about iShoot and the Light version. it was often said that you could "move" in the paid version. i've not figured out how yet, but even so, its the best game on my iPhone. btw, how does one go about moving? there's a fuel icon, but i don't know how to put it to use. please describe in this review section if you know. (i've googled it and found nada). G.W. Bush is finally out!!!!
I've played this game for hours (on accident) today, and almost got in trouble at work! The vibrate is tastefully employed and makes sense in the game. you could put your iPhone on silent and still get adequate gaming.
I really like how you can reserve your monetary earnings (not spend it all on weapons for the next level) and add up your earnings to purchase the really large weapons toward the end of the game. (15 levels is what i've done). the Shiva is too much!!! i don't even require an update to this game, but i can't wait to see what they will be.
A Must Buy!!!!

Yes, it does crash OCCASIONALLY, but even then it saves your progress (sometimes I battle other times just level). Great fun for multi player, I'd go so far as to say one of the best yet! The AI is smart, but not perfect so even on the higher difficulties you stand a chance and it is still fun. The weapons are creative and varied with many to chose from (I LOVE the Shiva Bomb and Vulcan). Worth paying for, and you won't lose interest after the first day you have it.

Brings those old pen and paper shooting games to life

This is a really cool game and almost brings to life those pen and paper games where you shoot at tanks by flicking your pen. If I have lost you, never mind. Buy this app. It is probably one of the most addictive around. It's a great game to play against other humans too. Probably the only criticism is that some of the weapons are too effective. Often the winner is the one that starts off first cox one shot does the job! In some ways agree lite version better. But still very worthwhile paying for to see all those awesome weapons do their job.

UPDATE: version 2.0. The best update I have ever seen on any app. This game suddenly became the deepest you will buy for $3! Heck, I've bought $8 games that aren't this deep. No question at all, a must buy!!! This would be a 5 star review if not for repetitiveness. Please add level options to play more than 20 rounds but less than infinity. 25, 50, 75, 100 rounds would be great. 1 more level of difficulty for those if us who have been playing for a long time. More level backgrounds, please. More weapons, weapons deadlier than planet bomb but not as deadly as shiva bomb, but more weapons than those too. Well worth the money!

I have had this app for a long time and have always loved it but since the update holy ish it's amazing a oil buggy but I know it will be fixed in the next update and for 3 dollars I have never in my life gotten so much for so cheap it's amazing customizable weapons wifi play thank you. Suggestion though online play to play random ppl and also use pics as ure terrain I wanna blow up my fiancé LOL

This is game is fun. Period. So far, is seems like most developers have been treating the fun-factor as an afterthought - placing all of their focus on what kind of amazing new things can be done with the accelerometer while somehow forgetting to make the gameplay even the slightest bit enjoyable. The gameplay in iShoot is pretty straight-forward, but it is always fun and is infinitely replayable.

This is a very good game. Two things you need besides online play. A harder difficculty and there's this bug that's been bothering me, when I sell all of my weapons and just buy a shiva bomb on the last round it just freezes and exits and I have to start a new game. Extremely annoying I must say. So please fix that bug. Other than those this is a great game. I think more game modes would definately help sell this game, even at a higher price,

This game provides endless hours of fun. And the outcome is always different! The weapon editor was what made me go from Lite to the full version. Even in the Lite version there no adverstisement at all begging you to pay for the app or trying get you to download other apps! It is a nearly flawless app! The only thing I don't really like is the 200 limit for munitions. That and the the white flash of nuke shouldn't be associated with damage cuz I'll I sit there waiting a good minute LOL. The only reason this isn't #1 is because everybody has already downloaded.. Great work!

I certainly play this game more than any other app i have. the 2.0 is the best update ive seen for any game out there. People keep writing reviews about it freezing with their new awesome weapons. that isnt the games fault; when you make extremly complex weapons (the skylance in particular) it overloads the game. you simply need to tone down your weapon.
all in all the game is phenomenal, and certainly worth the price
a few additions would be nice:
1) online play obviously
being able to play vs people, compare scores and more importantly compare WEAPONS online. the biggest fault i have in this game is coming up with new weapon ideas, and a way to view online "favorite" weapons would be excellent.
2) a notification displaying how many shells can be shot out of the weapons.
ive noticed when building complex weapons with many shots or shells on the screen at the same time, the game eventually begins deleting them, and the shells themselves do not explode. for instance, if the shiva bomb is duplicated and shot many times, only about 3 of them will go off before the game simply "deletes" the remaining shells, consequentely making the shells visible but no longer explode. it would be nice to know if we went over this arbitrary limit, or to even fix this limit in a new update.
3) a weapon type similar to the random weapon except it shoots multiple kinds of shells in a specific order or all at once, compared to randomly. for instance, if i want to shoot a penetrator and a ground burst, i either have to put it in the random weapon and hope for the best, or put it in a chain of weapons.ie: ground burst explodes into penetrators etc. the latter method is typically ineffective and the former can backfire since it's... well... random chance. being able to shoot multiple shell types from a single weapon solves this.
i hope this review was helpful, though once again, this is easily the best game ive ever bought

OK, the sound bug is now history, so I deleted my previous rant that was fueled by months of waiting for the fix to fix the last fix that broke the app.I left my initial review of this app (below) just the way I posted it last year. It is still a permanent resident on my space starved iPhone, and I never get tired of finding time to play a round or two daily. It's a keeper." This silly game is (for me) the best of it's group. By far. I didn't realize how much I played the game until it hit me that no matter which apps I swap out of my phone to make room for something new, this game is never parked on my PC. Even more telling was the sound bug in the new update. Many games would be improved if the sound died. In this case, I cant wait to get the bug fixed. This game is pure and simple fun, with enough thinking involved to keep you interested, but not so much that it wears you out. I love it!"

This game has always been fun and unique, but it got boring after a while. But, with the new update and the ability to create your own weapons and rules as well as customize your tank, this game has become my favorite app. It is impossible to bore of a game when you can chage the rules to make it completely new again. My only suggestion is to let players create their own maps, simply by letting players adjust the height if the ground along the field, the slope, and rye color ofnthe dirt and background.

I got the free version, thought it was awesome, and then ended up buying the full. I wasn't expecting much besides the extra weapons and backgrounds, which were still worth paying for. But, I didn't know that you could create your own rules and weapons! That's awesome! However. •Some of the created weapons lag •The extreme level is quite beatable •Maybe more options for designing your tank? Overall, though, it's really a great time killer. Perfect for car rides.

Amazing game, I love it. I play this game daily and it never gets old. There are two glitches I have found so far aswell. If you get buried to get out of it all you have to do is move and it puts you on you on top of the dirt mound. Great way to get a nice shot. Just bury yourself with a portable mountain, move and pop out on top. Also works with great walls but it's harder to see where you are aiming when your on top of them. Also if you use mega morters once you fire if you continue taping fire it will continue to fire. Like a Vulcan cannon with morters =P. Still an amazing game and would recomend it to anyone. Worth the money, if this was $10 I still would love it.

just recently I noticed that when I choose the unlimited rounds option, the game will return to the home screen around level 26. It's really startin to get to me. Mehhhh... I've gotten over bigger things though. Maybe it needs an update to fix this slight problem. Still a great app though. Definetly one of my favs. Highly reccomended. Buy it. Put it this way - if you weren't interested, you wouldn't be readin the reviews would you LOL.

Good but needs features

Very cool game and loads if fun but needs some added features and fixes: Bugs: 1) fix the accidental shifting of your tank turret/barrel - sometimes for no reason the turret shifts and you have retarget. It's annoying. Add: 1) crosshair targetting or auto target mode. 2) better physics for damage to vehicles and terrain - the shiva bomb just melts the ground come on! 3) realism vs easty damage mode. 4) 3D view or pinch to zoom you can switch to. 5)switch to enemy mode for fun. 6)beep on target acquisition.

This game is awesome. I love playing it when I've got nothing to do or waiting for something. It did concern me that some maps are a bit questionable...like the Capitol Bldg map, and Mount Rushmore map...seems kinda wrong to be blowing chunks off Lincoln's face, you know? But overall a great game, might just want to get rid of those maps that people might find offensive or possibly freak out about.
