Reviews:
Excellent app, can't believe its free By: SteveFromScotland - 27-Jul-2008 Version: 1.0 Excellent little game, it should be at least £2.99 though, the developers must be crazy letting this go for free! The one thing that annoys me is the limited amount of levels. It took me around an hour to complete the entire game, so hopefully they'll be more level packs released in the future. This game easily deserves 5 stars, it doesn't appear to be buggy in the slightest, and you can tell whoever made this has spent a lot of time over it. Thanks for a great game!
NavyWife216 By: NavyWife216 - Dec 21, 2008 Version: 1.4 Awesome!
This game has a VERY realistic feel!
It brings back memories of the original game! I loved it then and I love this new updated phone version of it!
Now you can take it with you wherever you go! Instead of carrying around one of the bulky original Labrynth games! ;)
My 4 kids also enjoy playing this game even though they have never heard of it before!
I deffinitly recommend this game to everyone!
It works perfect! (as long as you always re-start your iPhone or iPod immediatly after downloading any app there should be no technical issues!)
Kudos to the makers!
I just wish the paid version were a little cheaper!
;)
Sweet By: Lucy_Jones - Jul 30, 2008 Version: 1.2 Awesome! Nice and challenging, beat it in 1 day, needs more level packs. Still one of the best free apps!
Version 1.2--- Now even better! Still want more levels, can still beat the whole thing in under 10 min. I know it's just a free version, but I don't want to pay $7 for an app because my parents and sister would get mad!
Edit--- Seems like everyone wants more levels.... Get the picture, Codify?
Labyrinth LE By: Dudeman53728 - Aug 13, 2009 Version: 1.6.0 This is, by far the best free app ever.
Amaze has horrible controls and clapping after you score the hole is cheesy. This is a must get app. The sounds of the ball rolling are incredible.
There are a few glitches, this the most important problem though:
Don't shut off your iPhone/iPod Touch when playing without turning the game off. When you open the game again, the ball will disappear and it will make a wierd noise.
labythinth vs mash By: Spearmint3 - Aug 15, 2008 Version: 1.2 Well let me start by saying both are excellent apps that I found to be great, and give them both five stars, they are just different games. I feel like lab's, mechanics are more realistic, the ball seems heavier and harder to control (which is the case in the real game if anyone ever played it) also the ball in labs settles and falls into the hole, where as mash's sort of seems to just disapear or get sucked in when it gets too close. One time in lab my ball was moving to fast when it hit the hole and so it looped around and sling shot just like in the real thing! In fact including the hard bounce, and graphics, i feel lab is the more visually apealing and realistic. Yet mash has its ups too, one is the mechanics difference, while it feels less like a real marble rolling it is an object and its more sensitive to a persons tilt wich was very fun to play with, also they differ the size of the hole, and their harder mazes were basically just moving through a maze of holes with no walls. Also theres a timer that you have to beet or u get reset. Overall, I'd say mash's mechanics (and graphics) were less realistic; but with the timer, the whole size differing of the holes, and the amazing sensitivity, it was an excellent game. In the end they are different enough games that I believe they're both excellent, and you should down load both lite versions and figure out what you like.
An Excellent Fidget! By: dr_millmoss - Aug 13, 2008 Version: 1.2 This application is an excellent fidget for amusing yourself in waiting rooms everywhere. Just don't start it when you need to get some actual work done! Learning to play is simplicity itself, but like all better games, getting good at it takes some practice. This game is also a very nice demonstration of the accelerometer technology built into the iPhone and iPod touch. I agree with the other reviewers who've said that the free "lite" version offered by this developer is a model for others to adopt.
Stunning control, wonderful physics! By: Duke Lacrosse - Jul 22, 2008 Version: 1.0 I have only played three levels but had to stop and write this review because I am absolutely impressed with the quality of this implementation. Having tried a few other labyrinth-like (free) apps, I was beginning to think the sensitivity of the accelerometer in the iPhone was lacking, but this game clearly demonstrates the amazing sensitivity that can be achieved. The physics of the ball as it rolls and bounces off the surfaces within the labyrinth is so life-like that its incredible. I thoroughly enjoy playing this game because its so much like a real labyrinth game, albeit way more fun than even the real thing since it reloads the ball for me. This app has set the bar very high for all others to follow when it comes to the use of the accelerometer. The future of iPhones apps is going to be incredible and this app is blazing the trail.
perfect showcase for the iphone accelerometer By: imcl - 24-Jul-2008 Version: 1.0 this is perfect. it is so realistic and really shows off the accelerometer. this is probably the fastest way for someone who hasn't used an iphone to be amazed by it. Sure there will be better games - graphics, sounds, all the bells and whistles, but i seriously doubt they can replicate the realism. Well done to the developer for making something so much like a real ball puzzle and for making it FREE!
Great demonstration of the iPhone's capability to kill boredom. By: jazzmin elizabeth deras - Dec 16, 2008 Version: 1.4 There is only one downside, if you are good at the game, there are not enough levels. But this is a free game and there is a version you can pay for that offers more levels. I like the game, I used to have a real labyrinth game when I was younger and this version is a great simulation of the original. My friends always play it on my phone. It's great to help kids with eye hand coordination and a challenge as well!
Still fun after beating it By: PL527 - Jun 5, 2009 Version: 1.6.0 I completed all the levels and still enjoy playing while watching tv. Nice blend of a little (very little) thought needed and yet engaging. I like that you can go back and play any level you want to. Sounds of rolling are very nice but game is still entertaining if you have to turn the sound off. All in all a very nice app - no muss, no fuss, just play the game. And thank you for no ads. Makes me want to support the devs by buying the full version.

Awesome! By: iamthejtg - Aug 8, 2008 Version: 1.2 Labyrinth Lite is by far the best labyrinth app out there, one because it is free, and two because it is amazingly realistic! With the new update, you are able to "thread the needle", as you would in real life, and if the ball comes in contact with the side of a hole, the game isn't over. The ball simply dips down, and if it's going fast enough, overshoot the hole but come out at a different angle (this is seen a lot in basketball). Definitely one to get.
I can't believe how good this is! By: electronicallyDependent - Apr 28, 2009 Version: 1.6.0 This is nothing short of amazing. Everything about it is so realistic and so much like the real game. Very high quality graphics and the physics and feel of the game is unbelievably realistic. I especially like the 3D mode, which changes the 3D perpective view depending on how you tilt your iPhone. The sounds are very realistic too and add to the overall experience. Very good, will likely get the paid version soon!
I like free sample, but I hate free samples that are just so trying to get you to buy their app! By: Riversen - Apr 25, 2009 Version: 1.6.0 I like a free sample app. I just wish people who share their app as a freebie would say so and quite riddling it with advertizements and stuff like this. It looks like a fun game, but Lite only means annoying free and we are going to hound you about buying this app NOW!!!! This is why the funnes and quality of the game (4 1/2 stars) averaged out to 3 stars (1 1/2 stars for the annoyance). Download it, but remember it is Lite because it is a sample.
Works like it should! By: Cliffster115 - Jul 28, 2008 Version: 1.0 This app is simply great and was pleasantly surprised to see how well the game implemented the accelerometer, providing a fluid and realistic experience. With even the slightest angle at which you hold ur deivce, the ball moves accordingly and pretty smoothly. There is only one pack in this free version which includes around 5 levels and there are also calibration settings as well if you need them. Overall one of the best free apps and it shows!
A must-download. By: Me Myself 'n' I - 22-Dec-2008 Version: 1.4 Anyone that has given this app a low score is only because they find it too hard. The fact that this app is hard is because it's controls are fantastic. It has a two axis spirit level (which some apps charge for) with calibration features if your iPod or iPhone is slightly 'off'. The thing that made it 5 stars for me was the pretty unique online level editor for your computer. Just log onto the given website and type in the given ID the app gives you, then build away. Then you connect your iPod/iPhone to your wireless network and download the levels instantly.
The fact this app is free is mind-blowing. If you do one thing today, download this.
One of the very best free Apps By: LLHB - Jul 24, 2008 Version: 1.0 Proof that a dead-simple concept can be captivating and addictive if it's executed right. They physics in Labryinth are practically flawless, and that's what makes this unassuming game so terrific. I can't wait to see where they take it next...I'd love to see a scoring system inplemented...targets for points in the maze...other types of hazzards other than just holes. "Video game" it up a little guys, you're off to a brilliant start.
Amazing and fun! Three small suggestions... By: brandags - Aug 4, 2008 Version: 1.2 What an incredible game! The realism and sensitivity blows me away. It's also very addicting. I have a few small suggestions for improvement: 1) Add sound - a realistic ball dropping sound or clanking against the walls, etc. 2) Be able to jump from one level to another without having to go in sequential order. For example, be able to go from level 2 to level 5. 3) When going to the next level, be able to hit "start" or tap the screen to begin, rather than just have the ball "go". It always comes as a surprise to those I let play it on my phone. It would be nice to be able to prepare a bit before it starts. Great game!
Labyrinth Lite Edition By: celes2u - 24-Feb-2009 Version: 1.4.2 I love this game! I’ve it on my htc diamond phone and the only difference is, there is no vibration on my itouch when the ball falls into the hole. it will be more fun if there is sound effect when the ball falls into the right/wrong hole. There is only 10 levels in the lite edition and it is not too difficult to clear within an hour (perhaps it’s easier for me as I play on my htc diamond b4). Will consider to upgrade to Labyrinth @ $6.99 (thou it’s a little pricy) where there are more level to play with. Best of all, it doesn’t dry up ur batt fast, so u have whole day to challenge ur physical and brain movement with the 800 levels. Nevertheless, definitely worth the download for this lite edition!!
Nice job. By: Jay1111Jay - Jul 27, 2008 Version: 1.0 Nice job on the app.
I had this idea a few months ago but then I found this on a screenshot of a jailbroken iPhone so I stopped. When are you going to do the 3D walls? I had that idea to. LOL
washington32julia:
This app has been around since last year (on jailbroken iPhones and iPod touches), so it is marble mash that copied Labyrinth.
To the people that want more levels:
This is the lite version. The full version ($6.99) has 500 levels.
best free bubble level By: tungsten2k - Sep 6, 2008 Version: 1.3.1 Not only is Labyrinth Lite an excellent glimpse into the first few levels of the excellent commercial Labyrinth game, but once you've exhausted its demo capabilities, it remains to this day, the only free bubble level utility in the App Store ! Hidden in the preferences section is both the calibration and bubble level utility. This makes Labyrinth Lite a useful application even after playing the short demo. Nice work Codify AB !
