Lots of Options, Easy on battery life, 'Save & Exit' feature!

It's infuriating to read other consumer reviews of this app who aren't taking the time to explore the options. EA thought of everything in the menu settings (i.e. - a "Roll dice" button, "Free Parking" amounts etc.) I LOVE that you can save your game for later (comes in handy for breaks during work) and I'd say my Win/Lose ratio is pretty balanced. I was AMAZED at how graphic rich it is yet how easy it was on my battery life! Even when I'm listening to my music (another great feature), it barely puts a dent in my battery after an entire game! It's my favorite app at the moment by miles.
True, a classic mode option would be FANTASTIC, but I'm still quite satisfied with EA's record of awesome apps for (when you consider the content) very affordable games. :)

Ok overall i loved it i just would like to see classic mode and alot of other modes such as star wars, Outer space, the dog, madden, fifa, and all the other types of boards monopoly has come up with.
Also i love the selection of peices but would like to see way more to choose from, such as the money bag, race car, horse, why not add a space ship, or airplane.
Also it would be awesome to have a roll the dice button.
Also add the ability to have more players up to eight because i have over four people in my family and i would love it if we could all play.
Over all its an awesome game. I love how it gives you facts, its animated, and you can bend the rules.
No regrets on spending eight dollars on it.
Worthi it all the way.!!!!!

this game is very much like the original, you can change the settings so its easy and you can "cheat" without cheating (you can start out with all the properties sold, more money, money for free parking, etc.) the little pawns are animated (the penguins slides on the board, the windmill flies, etc.) its worth the money, i actually wouldve payed more. BUY IT IF YOU LOVE THE ORIGINAL, PRETTY MUCH EXACTLY THE SAME EXCEPT MUCH COOLER!!

Play with my friends all the time, great app! Would be nice to have online version so u van play on internet and not only via wifi. And the other thing, please upgrade AI he is really weak, even level 3, he still makes crap trade offers, if he has two of the same color and i have a third one, and he wants to buy it from me for 1-3M and that is funny, i would sell it for 10M but not for 3. And ai can sell two cards of the same color to me if i have 3rd one for little money. If you could fix all those it would be great. Thank you!

I'm impressed! The game isn't really all that different, the money is pretty easy to get used to (1K here and now=$1 in classic 1M here and now=$100 classic) and overall it's monopoly the way you love it. Acctually I find I like this more than classic. Granted i'd still like to see classic on the app store bit overall it's a great game. The new pieces and fun animations just add to the game. And the bars around the jailspace when you get sent to jail are really funny. The only thing I'd like to see are more rule options (ie you can only stay in jail for three turns before being forced to bail ect.) if you're worried you won't like here and now vs classic just give it a few minutes to get used to it.

I am a monopoly fanatic and throughout the course of my 19 years of life I've probably played somewhere in the upwards of 120+ human or AI monopoly matches. That said, EA's iPhone monopoly undoubtably has the most sophisticated AI strategies I have ever seen.
I am a ruthless monopoly fiend, I always beat people I play with, and against all other AI systems I've played on I am mostly undefeated. I've gone on ridiculously high winning streaks against other players and AI, but when I first played this, I lost 6 of my first 10 (the game keeps track). Even after 30+ games I had only about 55% wins. I recently had to reset my iPhone's memory, and with it went my Monopoly record. When I reinstalled, I got to start my record fresh and have since expanded my repertoire so that I now have a record on hard of 28/31.
Granted, some of these wins have come from exploits, like the AI's frequent use of the utility monopoly (by far the worst in the game), and under appreciation for oranges and railroads. But in the end it had to come down to some grueling, very well thought out strategies (like controlling all of the houses so that you burn competitors' hotels if they ever have to sell).
Part of what makes the AI so good is that guaranteed they trade for monopolies shortly after one person gets one (even if it's utilities or railroads). In a sense, one monopoly causes a monopoly cascade -- a well-mimicked tendency among human players: "oh s**t, that guy just got a monopoly, I better get one too, act fast." You know what it's like. What this results in, if you're not incredibly shrewd, is a leveling of the playing field, and you can find yourself losing often this way. You can still win, but only if you're smart.
There are a few subtle flaws -- the AI doesn't seem to have a good late-game strategy, likes greens and blues way too much etc., but on the whole the AI intelligence is solid. If you've read other reviews, you've probably seen that some people complain that the game is too hard (I don't know, I haven't tried it on easy or medium); well, there's a reason. If you are serious about monopoly (and even if you aren't) this game is for you.

This has to be the most amazing game ever invented for the . The graphics are incredible; I  how the pieces move around the board. The controls are easy once you learn how to use them & I don't get why  are saying the dice is in AI's favor. It looked pretty random to me.Just  suggestions though: do you think you could play the regular monopoly game & then maybe change to title from "worldwide" to "monopoly".But all in all, I think this app deserves .

This is the best remake of Monopoly ever! It is animated, with sounds, realistic opponents, and everything!!! You even see you play on the board! Even though we have the actual game, my family just sits around, playing wifi games with this! Excellent Game! I can not ever reccommend this highly enough for someone who likes the game, or just wants to learn! This also takes up hours of flight or car trip time!!!

This is an amazing app. K and M is American money for those of you that don't know, they stand for thousand and million. The Here and now is just the same as the other boards and you can't expect everything out of an iPhone product. There ARE fast play options -- Half of you reviewers are just too stupid to figure it out. All in all I find this to be a worthy iPhone board game that has great replayability-- even with someone else in a car! So great app-- but others with diff boards would be nice.

This game is excellent. I am really impressed with the animation and sound. It's really immersive especially when you play against the AI. There is also a wifi multiplayer mode which was pretty cool. It was a bit buggy in this mode though, but the overall experience is great. The game does not require a 3G data connection unlike some games. So it's completely free to play the game once you purchase the app. It is definitely packed with features. Truly worth it!

Totally awesome new version!!!!

At first I was frustrated because after install it would crash. I never got beyond welcome Monopoly image then it would go back to home screen.For those who own an iphone 3g 16gb and running version 2.2 read below.Here is the FIX folks!!!1) go to settings in iPhone > General > International > Region Format and change this to Canada from US 2) leave language value as EnglishThat's it!!Strange that the developers don't post my FIX on their website.Try the game you'll LOVE it!!!This game is sooooo addictive!5 stars!

I really liked this version of Monopoly. It does have a few interface quirks (not crazy about how you do house/hotel placement), but overall was solid and enjoyable. I don't really miss the "original" mode, because it really is the same game, just differing values, and I actually found that the new places/prices are making me pay a little more attention than the old names/values that I had memorized from the board game. For $5 it's a great game!

I love playing this game. All the features of a Monopoly board game are incorporated into the iPhone version and are actually even better in this version. All money transactions are counted automatically so no awkward shuffling through piles of paper dollars. Trades are convenient and easy to all of the properties each party has and whether or not you're being cheated. I always play it with at least one other human so that may contribute to the fun.

I don't know what is it that you people are complaining about?Are you expect something else when you buy a MONOPOLY game beside the monopoly game? So what if the rules changed a little bit. I pay for this app because I want to play a monopoly game. And i just finished playing my first game with AI. Beat the crap out of the AI. Back to the review: I like this game a lot! The graphics are good ( for somebody who thinks it should have been better, is this not 3D enough for you?) If you want to have a handy monopoly game that you can take it anywhere and you don't havw to clean up after you finish, this is the game!

Even though my girlfriend beat me by a lot I still like this game. Graphics4/5. Fun. Gameplay5/5 very smoothSound3/5 music is annoying. Control5/5 girlfriend likes the controls even though she hates all touch screens ever createdOverall5/5 Buy this game to spice up your love life. Future update ideasAbility to create your own board with own pics and places. Different versions of monopoly should be playable. More characters to choose from.

I so LOVE this game! This game is exactly the same as any other Monopoly game, the only difference is the money starts in the millions, hundred thousands, and the properties are from all over the world. Just one request, please offer new game pieces after winning set amounts of games or money, etc.... Also can you offer optional background music, and offer more sceneries. Thanks for such a great game!

Simply compareing this game to classic and XBOX version. It's down the middle.It has a great classic game play, one turn at a time. However the game is world edition so the properties are countries and the currency is in millions, Which I actually prefer because the numbers are more round. Graphics are great and performance is perfect. Learning curve is one game. This game is worth every penny if you enjoy monopoly, any edition.

Addictive with great replay value.

I am hooked. Great value for what you pay and amazing replay potential. Animations are smooth and the game moves at a pretty nice speed. Great for the Monopoly fan and the casual meeting time-killer.Was just talking one of the EA crew on Twitter and they said that Classic Mode may be in the works right now. That was my only complaint, so upgraded to a 5 star review. Good work on taking the feedback EA! Give it a shot despite the reviews that rag on there not being a classic board. It's coming!!!!

This app is incredible I'm also goin to buy Madden and Need for speed. But please EA please make NHL 10 for theiPod touch/Iphone. You dissapointed me by not making it for my system PS2 and forced me to buy that crap NHL 2K10. Please please please make NHL 10 for the iPod!!!!!!!! NHL NHL!!!!!! It would be a AN AMAZING PRODUCT AND WUD MAKE TONS OF CASH!!!!! If you do make it, make it EXACTLY like the 360/PS3 game. Please!!!!
