With three choices available to control your Pac-man, I found each one of them highly intuitive and easy to acclimate to for game playing. Sure, a wired or Bluetooth joystick needs to be developed by someone for us serious gamers, but I greatly enjoyed this old-schooler just as it is. My only recommendation, NAMCO, is that you allow for an adjustable speed cheat to be toggled by the player. The game is painfully slow - I don't even recall Pac-man back in 1980 going that slow, but maybe you had to add that slowdown here for virtual control issues.

for those of you who have a 1st gen itouch and are complaining how its 2 gen compatibly only, guess what, its not! if you are a 1st gen itouch user, all you have to do is purchase this game again, select ok, and sync to your ipod. i downloaded this game as soon as it came out and i noticed i couldn't play it, i was very upset. But i suppose that namco updated pac-man lite without telling us. PAC-MAN LITE IS 1ST GEN ITOUCH COMPATIBLE. just re-download the game and it should work. worked for me!

This is a great app. It's just like the arcade version. People are so cheap! Complaining because it's just one level! Hello, it's a demo. In Pac-Man, all the levels look the same anyway. Just the speed and the pattern of the ghosts are different. If you want more than one level, then buy the full version. It really irritates me that people give bad reviews because an app is not free or costs a few dollars. Just tell me what you think of the app. I can decide for myself what's too expensive. Apparently, developers aren't supposed to try to make money off of their apps. They should put time and money into making apps and then just give them away. Give me a break.

I was really pleased namco offered this download so you can see all the cool updates for this classic game. I won't be buying it unfortunately but it is simply too expensive. I bought it for my last iPod and paid 5 bucks and I thought that was expensive at the time... How can you expect me a year later to turn around and pay 8-10 bucks for the same game? (even with the updates!)Namco please be more realistic. Why would I pay so much for an arcade classic when there are other fun games on here for free? I'll add Pac-Mam to my collection as soon as you stop charging people for a novelty and put this timeless game up for a fair price. Until then I'll just play Pac-Man on one of the other countless formats.Thanks.

This is a very fun app and it's very simmilar to the real thing (well... You know what I mean.) I can't stop playing this game!Many people reviewing this app are very pissed! They are saying that it's dumb because there's only one level. YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT THIS IS THE LITE VERSION! If you want more levels and more controller options (such as joystick) your going to have to buy the real thing!I highly reccomend this app!Have fun! -William

My mom is an original player of this game and she got me into it. The controls I thought were sloppy but then I found that you could change the settings for the controls to "swipe mode" which was perfect! Also, the included speeds of the classic arcade version was even better. I'll buy the update for sure if it has included the scenario videos- they are my favorite part!!!! Does anyone know if they are included? Thanks!

I have a first gen ipod touch and the demo worked just fine on my iPod. I think that it might have something to do with the software. My ipod touch is 2.1 software. Maybe if you never chose to update the software on you ipod because of the money.... I think you need software 2.0 and above. It has nothing to do with what Generation the ipod touch is. Anyways the demo does exactly what you think it would. It gives you a demo of the first pac man level.

It’s very difficult for me to give one of my favorite franchises anything less than 5 stars, but to be fair to anyone reading this I have to admit the game’s ONE fault. When using the joystick control it is somewhat frustrating because it’s positioned so close to the menu/pause button that I keep hitting it every 3 seconds! I wish they would move that somewhere else – its too hard to play with it right there!

First of all, it isn't compatible with 1st gen. ipods. Second, i know it's a demo, but only one level to play? Come on, only one level? You can't possibly be occupied with the first level! Lastly, the supposed "arcade" controls aren't anything to be happy about. It is very small, and i have missed the pad many times the first time i played it (it was deleted soon after). Overall, not very good for a free app: needs more levels, bigger controls, and compatibily.

This game is Pac-Man. Everybody knows what Pac-Man is, so I am not going to explain what the goal is. I am going to explain the controls though. There are 3 types of control: d pad, swipe, and accelerometer. All work fine and are effective. You only get one level in this lite version, but who needs more. Most people play one level of Pac-Man and quit. The only reason this app isn't five stars is that it Pac-Man, and I am only going to play the game for only 2 minutes. But go and download it, it is a pretty good free app.

I think this is a great game and very easy to use and control. It is a good idea to have a varie of controls to pick. But I think this game should have more then one level...I know it's PAC man lite but it should have more than one level! After doing one level over and over again it can get a little boring. And the name pac man is not raisest at all, if you think it is tour just stupid!! Altogether it's a great game but still can be impoved.

I think that this is a great game to play and i love how it is free so if you get tired of it and need room on your ipod you can delete it and if you want to play it again you can just put it back onto your ipod!!!!!!!!!!

This brings back memories of the old days and the devolopers have done a great job making app as realistic as possible top marks for the graphics & sound.The controls are very good too in my view better than the xbox one i tried recently.Bear in mind this app is a taster and you only play 1 level you have to buy the full version if you want to continue.Suggest you try this one 1st and see for yourself if you like it or not before you buy the other one.Old school game.Either you love it or hate it and i just love this game.

I sure wish other developers would make sample levels to try before dropping 8 to 10 dollars on a game. I'm glad I tried it before I make the plunge.
Do I still want the full game? Not sure. It works, looks, and sounds just like the arcade game, but the controls are a little awkward, just a tiny little joystick at the bottom of the screen. My big ape hands don't do so well with it. I think it would've been better if the game used the entire screen as a controller. Would've been a little more intuitive and less prone to errors. The full version is still a little pricey, I might wait until Namco gets desperate and drops the pice to $2.99. It's not a must-have app.
It doesn't work on a 1st-gen iPod Touch? Bummer. Aren't you glad you didn't pay for the full version before you found out? Delete it from iTunes, grab it in the Finder and move it to the Trash.
