5/5  rating of Plants vs. Zombies

MUST BUY. This game has excellent cartoon graphics and everything looks crisp there are plenty of Zombies and Plants that increase the replayability of this game. Frame Rate does slow down a little when you get to the later levels and a ton of zombies are on screen. From a guy who doesnt like tower defense games this definitely got me hooked.Suggestion: How can i replay the music video at the end? It would be nice if i can watch it more than once after beating the game. Pretty catchy song and girl has a nice voice lol.

Amazing app  rating of Plants vs. Zombies

This game is simply amazing. I've seen it at stores for a long time and always wanted to try it but never spent the csdh on it. This is an amazing way to spend $3! Btw, to thr Niko guy, you can remove your plants after a few levels and you get ALOT more plants the more you play. There are easily 40 plants to unlock. This makes believe 2 things, you never even gav this app a chance AND your probably part of a rival company trying to give this game bad rep. Look at all the other people, about 700 5 star reviews, and your going to say that they're all from developers?-Cody

I love it.  rating of Plants vs. Zombies

God! I couldn't wait to get me hands on this. I have the game for pc and love it to death. So glad I have a portibal version now. Now the first 10 or so levels slowly introduce you to most of the plants and zombies. It gets you prepared. This is a defense game, so yes, it will get repetive at times but it's extremely fun. It's all about building a stradegy as you het better and better plants to fight with as the zombies get more powerful themselves. This game has many levels then most games you find here on here. It's meant to take you awhile yo beat it! Stick through it, it's an awesome game! And last time I checked there is no free version online. I bought my pc version through my stream account.<3 thank you popcap for this game, sincerly a happy fangirl.

PopCap delivers!!  rating of Plants vs. Zombies

I have been waiting for plants vs zombies on iPhone for some time. The game was definitely worth the wait. Graphics and frame rate are excellent. This game was made for a touch screen. Almost an exact replica of the pc version. PopCap a few things: Sound output needs a boost. Zen garden would be cool. Work on ipad version so full screen won't be so pixelated. Underpriced at $2.99!!!!!!!!!!! Expected $4.99 or higher.

Masterfully Done  rating of Plants vs. Zombies

Being an avid player of the PC version, I was excited to see this game come to the Iphone platform. I was apprehensive at first, because I was afraid that the mobile adaptation of the game would not live up to the original PC version. However I am happy to report that it lives up to the PC version in everyway, the interface is flawless, and the on-screen toolbars have been cleverly rearranged to provide maximum playing field size, while not sacrificing button usability one bit. Extremely well done and as true to the original as it can be. I tip my hat to thee, Popcap games.

I love this game so much! I played it on my computer and love it even more on my Touch. Amazing gameplay, stunning graphics, hilarious story and wonderful music and sound effects! So many good and fun levels. Challenging, but not anger-induciningly frustrating. Like a great strategy game but full of insanely funny Zombies and a huge arsenal of Plantz justice. Worth the 3 dollar price tag, BUY ITP.S. Try and buy Peggle as well!!

Popcap win the appstore yet again!  rating of Plants vs. Zombies

It's another steal from popcap as Plants vs Zombies nearly takes the top spot of the appstore. In this game, you choose different plants that you unlock from adventure mode that either: shoot peas, explode or even freeze the dreaded zombies. With over 40 types of plants and half a dozen of zombies, you are going to love this popcap classic! You can also play minigames during adventure mode such as: Wall-nut bowling and Whack-a-Zombie. You are sure to have fun in this unique game known as Plants vs Zombies.
P.S Please release some of your classic games such as Rocket Mania!

Loved the computer version, just browsing itunes and there it was! My quest for plants vs zombies on itouch/iphone is over! The game works very well on ipod, easy to understand and manage, have not tried more difficult levels yet but the concept, style and class is the same, only handheld so you can take it with you.I strongly recommend a buy and try to get this app as high in the charts as possible!

It's PvZ - - BOW DOWN  rating of Plants vs. Zombies
By: Cheezefacta - Feb 15, 2010

This game doesn't even need a 5 star review. It's plants vs zombies... That's all you need to know. Plants vs zombies and angry birds are the iPhone games that pull me away from my pc, ps3 and xbox360... Please purchase this and support popcap (makers of peggle too!) they make some ridiculously addicting casual games. Like I said, it'd PvZ so most of you downloaded before even reading reviews... But if for some reason you haven't purchased it yet PLEASE DO!! .. PvZ and angry birds will Never leave my iPhone. Back to more plants...

Awesome! Must buy!  rating of Plants vs. Zombies

I have been waiting for this to cone out on the iPod for months. So psyched that it is finally out. Great game! Lives up to every one of my expectations. It says that there is a zombie and plant almanac in the description, but I don't see it yet, might have to be unlocked or maybe I'm just used to it being right in front of me, so I'm not looking hard enough. Either way, I'm sure it is there. As with all of popcap's games, this is a must buy. It is a little more expensive than little $1 games you see everywhere, but this game is EASILY worth more than its price of a meer $3. If you don't already have it, quit reading this and go buy it, there is 0% chance you won't absolutely love it.

Just makes sense with touch  rating of Plants vs. Zombies
By: TheGeekNextDoor - Feb 15, 2010

Being able to touch things and not click and drag with a mouse just makes sense. Picking up sunlight by touching it feels right. I played it on the Mac and I now look forward to countless hours of play on my phone. Like Bejeweled 2 (my current go to game since I bought it last year), I expect this to be a pick up and play game that will far exceed in value the $2.99 I just paid for it.Yes, it may go on sale some time in the future. But I'm not opposed to $2.99 as a price point for such an amazing game. What other platform could you get such a great game for such an amazing price?!?!

Great game, great price.  rating of Plants vs. Zombies
By: Bauvrin - Feb 15, 2010

I was so excited to hear that this game was coming to the iPhone being a big fan of the PC version. I was a little worried about the interface and display of the game on the small screen, but Popcap Games did a fantastic job with it. It's even easier to use with a touchscreen than it was to use a mouse. What I was most excited about was the price. I think Peggle was $10 when it first came out for the iPhone, it is since reduced but I was half expecting Plants vs Zombies to be $10 or at least $5. The $3 price point made me immediately buy it.This game has hours of fun and lets you replay the entire game with all the stuff you've earned. Definitely buy this if you're on the fence.

Well Worth It  rating of Plants vs. Zombies
By: GreenThumb1 - Feb 16, 2010

If you're wondering if you should buy this game, I would highly encourage you to do so. I had a great time playing it through for the first time and look forward to playing it again in the weeks to come.Normally, I haven't enjoyed too many Tower Defense games on the iPhone or even PC. However, I'd read positive reviews online and decided to try out Plant Vs. Zombies' PC demo (available online on Popcap's website). After playing through the first few levels, I only wanted more. The strategy was enjoyable and earning new plants to fight off the increasingly bizarre zombie horde was a sheer joy. Not wanting to pay the higher PC price, I decided to hold off until Popcap released the iPhone version. I'm glad I did.The transition from PC to portable worked very well. The graphics look great and the touch interface is spot-on. However, this version does lack some of the extra features of the PC version (puzzle mode and so on), but I wasn't too concerned with them anyways. My only criticism is that there is a noticeable visual slowdown when they are numerous zombies and plants on screen. The first time I saw this, I was a little disappointed (having grown accustomed to the clean animations of the PC demo) but I stopped noticing this slowdown after a few minutes. Despite the slowdown, it still played well and my experience did not sour.Whatever your thoughts after reading my review, I would encourage you to try out the PC demo on Popcap's website (which can be played straight from your browser). If you enjoy those brief levels, I'm confident you'll have the same reaction playing the full iPhone version.

Great port, needs Zen Garden though  rating of Plants vs. Zombies
By: Poostaru - Feb 15, 2010

The ultimate casual ge has finally made it to the iPhone. The game controls very well. Plant placement is simple and the row and column you have selected light up so you can tell what your thumb is really touching. The framerate is smooth on the 3GS and loading times are quick. My only gripe is the lack of the challenge mode and Zen garden that appeared in the PC version. I would gladly pay more to have those included.

The best  rating of Plants vs. Zombies
By: Jaroidx3 - Feb 15, 2010
Version: 1.0
Finally! This is one if the best iPhone games out there right now. I think the the thing that keeps me so hooked is the constant progression and different strategy combinations that you can use. There's no one set way to play it. PVZ has a sort of tower defense style but it is WAY more interactive (which is good for ADD people). The funny and unique "plant plants to battle zombies" premise makes this an original game in a genre infested with clones and duds.

Mikowoodz, your review is garbage.  rating of Plants vs. Zombies
By: ruff rules - Feb 16, 2010

Firstly, you barely even played the game, you unlock the shovel to remove plants after 5 or so levels. Secondly, there are many game modes and unlockable weapons as you progess through the story. Finally, you have no right to say it should be free, PopCap games ports many other great games to iPod touch and iPhone such as Peggle and Bewjeled, they don't work for free.Next time you write a review, play the game more than 2 levels before you smash it.

I knew this was coming, people were asking why dont they have PvZ on iPod and i knew it would be some day, i just went on the app store on my iPod and looked at new games and....there it was. This is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooogood i feal mean giving it 5 stars it deserves more. It will probabuly reach top grossing in the first week. I loved this game on CPU and it was so distracting i could not work well because i was always on it. now on my iPod and its portabul. Goodbye social callender. BTW who rated one star??????

Worth the wait.  rating of Plants vs. Zombies
By: Anonymous Skull - Feb 16, 2010

Absolutely worth the wait and the (easy) 3 bucks. To those giving poor reviews because "you can't remove plants": You get a shovel a few levels in that allows you to do just that! The first 10 or so levels are just training anyway.Repetitive? Tower Defense is repetitive by nature. PvZ was and still is incredibly successful on the PC, and considering how many TD games are out there for free, it's obvious that PopCap is things right with this game. It's about building up your defenses for each level!I will concede that the game slows down a bit during heavy battle. The developers didn't cut back on the animations, they're more or less identical to the PC version. Slowdown is probably less noticable on a 3GS, but I'm on a 3G so I can't say for sure. It looks like PopCap did all they could to get it running well, considering it was originally slated to be released almost 3 months earlier than it was. I assume much work was done to get it running as smoothly as possible. Maybe the devs will introduce an option to let you tone down the animation or something. Still a 5 star app. So glad it was only $3.

After a few delays PopCap's Plants Vs. Zombies is finally out for the iPhone, and it's an amazingly great port! There's a few things missing, but they can be easily added with an update -- but the Adventure and Quick modes are here and they are perfect! Now I can bust out a round or six on the go! Forget zombies coming after my brains... they're gonna munch down on my iPhone battery!MUST PURCHASE!

Best Iphone game of 2010 yet  rating of Plants vs. Zombies
By: GenNew - Feb 15, 2010

I have the Mac version and both my girlfriend and I love it. I've been waiting for the iPhone version literally since I first saw the game on the 1up show, so it's safe to say this was easily one of my most anticipated games on any platform. The experience is just a good as my MacBook Pro and seems to be a perfect fit for a mobile platform. Popcap is a AAA developer and anything they do us great. I would have paid more than the asking price. At 2.99, it's a great value for a game I paid much more for on my Macbook. Gotta love the iPhone platform.
