Sims for iPhone is lots of fun. The graphics are great and in my opinion is on par with those of the psp. While there are alot of missing features that you get in the pc version it doesn't bother me at all because this only costello $10 and still has plenty of features to keep me entertained. Hopefully they release a xbox 360 version of the game because my 2 year old laptop cannot run the pc version.

Im a big fan of the sims i have the sims and the sims 2 but until i buy the sims 3 for pc this app is as closer it will get for my iphone. Its cool and fun but more acrions wouldnt hurt and maybe and update that lets you see when you go to the store ect. About the crashes do what everyone else do restart your iphone or itouch. Some tips is that when you upgrade your house plant seeds so you can eat the food and sell it. Doesnt give you much but sure is a small profit. Also what i do is go fishing and sell those fish as long i dont need them great game overall but i dont like is that they choose your house. Everything that has to do with building is done for you you cant choose doors, windows, floors, room colors, or the rooms. All you can do is decorate your house. But its a great game ive played 11 hours straight. I just cant wait to get the sims 3 for pc!!

No crashes on this 2nd Gen iPod Touch...

Bought this yesterday for my iPod Touch 2nd Gen and haven't had one single crash. I followed what a few of the other reviewers mentioned...I purchased & downloaded it via iTunes on my computer, transferred via USB, turned off my iPod, waited a few minutes turned it back on and then launched The Sims 3. Everything has worked beautifully and I am absolutely 100% addicted! I have played for long periods of time and probably way more than I should be! Again, no crashes what so ever! Totally awesome! Love it!

I have only one crash so far so I don't have the same problem others do. When I bought the game I assumed that it would be a slimmed down version of The Sims. Although I haven't played The Sims 3 on computer, I was so please to see this was a full featured real game. For those who have crashes that stinks. Hopefully 3.0 will make things better and they will update the game as well. For me on my iPhone 3G it's working great.

for complaining people out there, dis is how you make it work without having problems
1. download app dont do anything else until it finishes completely
2.sync it onto your ipod
3.back your ipod up
4.THEN restore it
5.just in case make sure you have at least 1gb of storage free
6.after restoration is complete, play it and no problems will occur (like me)
7. BEST GAME EVER (who would have ever thought sims would be on a touch screen?;]

First of all, to the people calling the people with crash problems idiots or nuts, I restarted my iPod right after I installed the game and had no crashes. But then a few hours into the game it starts crashing! So I restart my iPod again and went a whole day without another crash. But now again I am having crash problems. So, restarting your device obviously doesn't resolve the crash issue. To the person that said the pc version is exactly the same and costs 8 times more, um yeah hello moron, the pc version is $30 and has tons more options!! As for whether or not this is worth $10, I don't think so. I maxed out all my skills in just a few hours, am best friends with everyone in the neighborhood, got the highest job, and house upgrade! EA needs to add more hair, clothes, and face customization and more interactions with other people as well as more objects. Don't get me wrong, I love the game, and it's a great time waster. I just think that it could really use an upgrade.

First off I think the game is great! Good graphics, good gameplay, and a good world. The game is fun and totally addictive. Overall its a great game and I would love if EA games added anymore stuff. The only real problem I have is the price. Now this is just me but I think that 10$ might be a bit to much. A more reasonable price would be like 5$-8$. But its a great game anyways! I think you should be able to make a roommate the way you want them to look, or be able to have kids. All in all the game is great!

B4 I say anything... I've played this all day and absolutely no crashing! I read the reviews and some disgruntle folk but they were the small minority of folk. I agree with the people who think this app is crack! EA did an outstanding job and has without a doubt raised the bar for every app hit the app store. load time fantastic graphics superb options steller playability cracktastic goals + missions are icing on the cake  this is a must have title whoever you are with an iPhone, simply because there is no other freakin app like it. SIMS 3 is the  SIMS 3 spits mad  SIMS 3  the competition

Make sure when you buy this and it's done downloading to restart your device and I don't mean by turning it on and off, you need to hold down the home button and the power button until you see the apple logo. These things are like computers and when you install somthing on destop or notebook usually it asks to restart your computer or the program won't work correctly. I'm sure its the same issue with the iPhone but it doesn't ask. I think apple should fix that. But anyway this is a great game for being on a mobile device. Hope this helps anyone who has the crashing problem.

This is my new number 1 game. A must buy But when you woohoo with someone you should be able to atleast have a chance to get pregnant.... And with your fiancee or spouse or partner etc... You should be able to walk around your house naked with them after or before woohooing... But other than this is a great game, 5 

This is definately the most addictive app that I have bought and is definately worth the $10 and won't crash if u just restart your device after you finish installing this app and yes it is going to be a watered down app because it is a game for your iphone/ipod you can't expect it to be just like the pc version but is a really good app. In the next update please add the following:
1) add pets
2) more sporting activeities like tennis or something would be really cool and fun
3) create a family option at the beginning
4) more job types
5) more customizations for the sims and for the house

You see? What you saw in the keynote was a demo.

The first version of The Sims 3 for the iPhone/iPod Touch was okay. It lacked a lot. Many we're hoping for stuff whe've seen in Apple's 3.0 SDK keynote that's now featured in this update. Causing many to call this game a rip-off.
Many complained that the upcoming in-app commerce would be exactly how it was the keynote. Which was buying seperate objects using real money, instead of packs like we're use to. Fortunately for us, they we're wrong and it really was JUST A FREAKIN' DEMO!!!
With this update the game is once again exciting with a fresher spin on things. Its basically what we've been waiting for from the beginning. The game tends to freeze on me but its still very playable.
Great job, EA, and thank you.

I stayed up all night waiting for this to be released and it was SO worth it. I like that it doesn't run down your battery in 10 minutes like most of the other complex large file games. I agree with more options for clothes, hair, furniture. Can you get promoted at your job?? If so what do you have to do? And fix crashes.. I restarted it every time and it continues. Understandable since it's version 1.0, I'm excited to see what's next!!

This game is really fun, it's only crashed on me a couple times but let me say I was the reason they crashed I kept doing too many things at one time!! What helps is maybe restarted the iTouch every once in a while before playing. My favorite part is getting to make your house totally beastly-looking and the GRAPHICS!!! they're ah-mazing!!!! EA EVEN IF I DONT CRASH U STILL NEED TO FIX IT!! YOU WENT FROM #1 TO #18 IN ONE WEEK!!! EA u also need: 1. Be able to pick your age (Kid,teen,adult,etc.) 2. Change clothes and hair and whatnot during the game. 3. When my Sim died once (it's a girl) it said 'The tie got stuck in Fax Machine' and it doesn't wear a tie. 4. Be able to build your house from scratch and cooler add-on's (pools) 5. See the Sims get married, get paid, work, and etc. 6. Be able to have kids!!!! Thanks that's all

Wow great game! The only thing it needs is a way to kill people! I married Jill and she was already married i found out!!!!! Lol oh well, i divorced her, great game. Edit: lol now i married theresa, i think you guys should also make add on packs, like in epic pet wars if u download a certain app u get free stuff, well you should make add on apps that u delete after u get free stiff like pets,furniture,clothes etc!

Initially buggy but there is an easy solution.

First off, I figured there were going to be a bunch of reviews stating that the app is buggy. Well, like any heavy application, you need to restart your iPod/iPhone after you install the application. Like some others, when I first started playing it, it did crash a lot with me. After I restarted my iPod, no problems (sort of). Doing my own "stress test", you can play your own music in the background but it can crash rarely that way. If you are like me where you play music, set your mail to download AND play an application at the same time, you will see that the Sims3 really can't handle that. The most stable condition, and I have yet to have it crash in this state, is to have it run by itself without WI-FI turned on.
Now, the game! It reminds me of Sims2 (where you are managing one house hold at a time) but with new features. The town is obviously more expansive than Sims2 but not more than Sims3 PC (duh!). The interactions as less as well but again more than enough to get the job done. I have only played this for 8+ hours so far so I know there is more to this. For example, I need to expand my house to build a garden.
For people who like the Sims, this is a good app and I enjoy playing this game and listening to music/podcasts whilst I am commuting on the train. Worth the $10!

This game is awesome. For all of you that keep saying that it crashes too much, all you have to do is restart your iPod touch/iPhone. Then it works perfectly. Simple. What's awesome: -Graphics -You can listen to your own music -Very interactive -You can buy all kinds of furniture -You can make your house bigger -Fishing & gardening are easy ways to make money. -You can have people move in -Theres a lot of people in the town -Theres lots of jobs to choose from -Runs smooth -You can personalize your sim with clothes and traits. -Theres 3 different saving slots -Doesnt take too long to start up -EA promises future updates regarding the pawn shop ;) -And all of this in a small, handheld device you can take anywhere. What more could you ask for?

I don't know why ppl don like it??? I don't think it get old!! I play it almost all day, but I have school. It rocks. Totally worth $10!! My uncle and aunt say it was a waste!! They r wrong!!!!!! If it crashes, delete then download. Don't reset ur iPod, I almost did. If u LOVE sims buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This app is def worth 10$. I was on the fence but went for it and love it. It gives you a whole new outlook on the sims. Insted of just wasting time building houses over and over it gives you the oppertunity to actually play the sims in the way it was intended. Love the game and can't put it down. Another pluse is it does NOT use a ton of battery. It is an amazing addicting game. Can't wait for updates!!! If your thinking about getting it do it is the perfect game app.

The updates made the game more worth playing. It was fun to begin with, but it was too easy. However, it's still kinda too easy right now. The next update should include at least some of these highly demanded requests:*****-Able to start a family (pregnant option/marriage)-Able to own a business-More stores (For clothing rather than just some tools and food)-People moving in and out of town (Like animal crossing)-Other people able to visit from iPhone-iPhone or itouch-iPhone or itouch-itouch. -Own a pet of some sort (Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Snakes, etc.)-More hair and clothing options.-Fix some of the bugs and the crashes. (It wasn't crashing before the update)Again, great game, the update made it better, but we're all hoping that the next update would at least have the family option.
