Description:
The Exercise Tracker iPhone application allows users to easily track their exercise activity and weight on a daily basis. The application allows the user to enter activity by date, the type of activity (running, biking, walking, or swimming), the physical level of the activity (light, moderate, less than 5 miles and hour, etc.), the distance (feet, miles, yards, meters, steps), and the time in minutes. In addition to the above, the application calculates your calories burned for each entry. The application has been written to synchronize with TulsaMillionMiles.com site which has been created by Healthy and Fit Communites (www.healthyandfitcommunities) but can also be used as a standalone application. Exercise Tracker allows for multiple users to setup profiles per device which are all PIN/Password protected. The user can set goals related to weight management and view their progress. Registered users of the above web site will enter their username and password which will tie their username in the Exercise Tracker to their account on that particular site. Please note that this is not a requirement to use the application, but the charts on the phone will only show if the user has an account on TulsaMillionMiles.com (a free web site). Anytime an exercise activity or a weight log is entered on the iPhone, it is automatically transmitted to the TulsaMillionMiles.com website. It also works in reverse so that if someone was to login to TulsaMillionMiles.com and enters their exercise activity weight log, or make a change to their goals, the changes would be reflected the next time the iPhone Weight Tracker was started. NOTE: Calories burned are affected by your recorded weight in the application. Please be sure to keep your weight updated.

Perfect for the average Joe. By: Bazza H - Jan 8, 2009 Version: 1.1 If you are a competitive athlete, this is not the program for you. If you are wanting to track your marathon times to the tenth of a second, this is not the program for you. If you want graphs without having to sync to a website, this is not the program for you. If you want to GAIN weight, this is not the program for you. HOWEVER, if you are just an average guy like me with a New Years Resolution to lose some weight, it's perfect. I, like many people have decided to lose a few pounds this year and wanted a simple program that would allow me to track & graph my exercise and weight loss and let me know if I am on track to make my goals. That is what this program does. The sync with "tulsamillionmiles.com" was a little tricky at first and you MUST do this is you want the graphs. I had to enter my starting info twice...once on the site and once in the app before it would sync up. Once it did though, it's a thing of beauty and happens in the background. It's bi-directional as well which serves as a data backup should my phone ever die. You also need at least two data entries before some of the graphs start showing up...the setup was a little vague about this. All in all, it does what I wanted it to do. Allow me to input my treadmill time and daily weight, then see a graph and data to make sure I am going to hit my target weight on the day I want. If that's also what you want, this IS the program for you for only $2.99. On a side note, the website "tulsamillionmiles.com" appears to be run by the city of Tulsa, to encourage their residents to lose weight. The funny thing is that my excercise in New York is helping them attain this million mile goal. They should have a "non-resident" check box, etc, so their data doesnt get skewed by all the people using this program from elsewhere. Then again, maybe they don't care.
Close to the perfect exercise logging app By: darkphoton - Oct 25, 2008 Version: 1.0 I really like the charts and the sync to the web site. There are just a few things I'd like to see before I'd give it five stars: -- I don't understand why the author chose click wheels to enter the numeric data; it would be much easier to enter the info on a small keypad than trying to fiddle with getting the click wheels in exactly the right positions. -- I'd like to be able to log body fat percentages along with my weight. -- It would be nice to log miles the the hundredth instead of just the tenth. Other than that, nice job.
Training log only!! By: kv's - 10-Feb-2009 Version: 1.11 Needs to be able to calculate pace to be perfect...

Great little Ap By: SckooterRhode - Oct 21, 2008 Version: 1.0 Nice interface and works well with the Million Mile site. Would like GPS tracking in the future.
Great application. By: cnoj - Oct 17, 2008 Version: 1.0 This is a very nice application for tracking exercise and weight. The interface is simple and easy to understand.
Kelly By: Weightlosswanted - 03-Feb-2009 Version: 1.11 Please update with feature to add own exercise ie time spent on wii fit or fitness DVD or anything not listed but good app
Good App By: Quackpath - Dec 28, 2008 Version: 1.1 This app is useful and easy to use. It could be improved by adding the ability to track elliptical and stair stepper workouts.

Potential By: stargazer99 - 11-Jan-2009 Version: 1.1 Easy to set up and use but could use some improvements. The input table should allow all items to be input and then saved. Pressing done after each entry is annoying. The distance and weight should be recordable to two decimal places as shown on exercise equipment. The calories don't match the value on my exercise equipment which takes into account body weight. Calories should be an input value. The calorie data doesn't sync properly with tulsamillionmiles. It reset all of my iphone input values forcing me to go back and re-enter all input data. The graphs on tulsamilionmiles are good. The weight loss charts give the start and target values with progress. The distance graphs give daily and accumulative values. Easy to read and follow.

Need more workout options By: xrsize - Jul 2, 2009 Version: 1.11 The log is good, but if you use other activities to work out, you can't include them. I would also like to track the days and times for yoga and push ups.
Good idea but needs some work By: Vedovanera1012 - Apr 11, 2009 Version: 1.11 This is a good app except that you are limited in what you can imput. It needs a place to put notes for a workout and additional workout options.
Not bad By: Ladymissbridge - 24-Aug-2009 Version: 1.11 Good to see a fitness app without all the fiddly calorie logging. I like the ease at which the program calculates the calories burned. Add a few more exercises to the log and it'll be more versatile.
Good app with some faults By: Aggrajag - 22-Apr-2009 Version: 1.11 Not a bad little app for logging exercise but it is very annoying when you create an account with tulsamillionmiles so you can get the charts; the website and the app use different formula for calorie counting (well they do at my weight anyway) so calories counted on the app all change when you go to view a graph.

Good but still needs work By: JustAnotherCommentator - Dec 28, 2008 Version: 1.1 What it's missing : 1. ability to keep track of time up to tenths of a second (i also keep track of race times with this) 2. it needs meters, not just kilometers, since some pools are meters not yards and i don't want to convert it ^_^
Unreliable By: Darron Weis - Feb 1, 2009 Version: 1.11 Deleted and unneeded now that my primary exercise app logs these details now. I was having a real hard time with the accuracy of the calories burned calculations when logging hikes. On a hour long light hike it said I burned .7 calories and on a moderate 46 min hike it said I burned 261.5 calories. I would have kept it and continued to use it to make calculations if the results were not way off.

eh.. By: swimx3 - Jan 4, 2009 Version: 1.1 I bought this app. I'm a swimmer. I swim for 2 hours 4-5 days a week. Haven't been to swimming practice yet, so I haven't logged any activity yet. However, when I set my weight, the app automatically assumed that I wanted to lose weight, putting my "weight goal" at something that would be extremely unhealthy for me. I reset the goal to where I would have to gain weight. (Which is my goal.) And the app said that I needed to lose 7 pounds. This app's developers need to realize that not everyone is overweight and looking to lose weight and adjust the app for those of us who wish to stay in-shape and gain a little weight.
