I really don't have any weight to lose. . . . . . well maybe a little. . . . . . . . Ok, Ok a LOT :-( Anyway as soon as I saw the video demo of this app I thought it was probably the nicest looking app I'd seen on the iPhone/iPod Touch platform. The graphics are totally cool, the sounds simple but suitable and it does what it says it does in a simple and easy to use way. So 5 stars on my scale for WeightBot, and I'm looking forward to seeing what else this developer can come up with.

Im sick of downloading apps that dont live up to my expectations, both visually and technically... this however, is one that does! It looks fantastic, it works and its simple to use. I really cant suggest anything to change here, the only feature I would request would be a PROFILE option so more than one person can track their weight.
I really hope to see more apps from TAPBOTS, I will happily pay $2.50+ for quality apps like this. What about a expenses app? SPENDBOT? or a notes app? NOTEBOT? Anyway great work, I definatly recommend this.

Innovative and cool weight tracker!!!Gets better and better after every update. Although, the developers might want to include in the app description how to see the graph because some MORON users somehow can't figure it out. I mean, if the graph doesnt show up after you turn the phone one way, ummmmm, try turning the phone the OTHER way!!! Wait a minute, that's just too easy to do. I'll just waste more time and write a review and complain that there's no more graph!!! Some users are just freaking retarded and have no common sense.

I just bought Weightbot and I love it!
As with most people my age (I'm 51), I'm in a constant battle with my weight and I've tried tracking my weight before. Unfortunately, no other program has been compelling enough to make me come back every day or week and actually record my weight.
From my initial "play" with Weightbot, I find it to be an app that I'll constantly be coming back to. It's attractive, very functional, and (believe it or not) even fun! I was reminded of Pixar's Wall-E while using the app. I can't wait to see what other bots are coming from the Tapbots factory.

A true gem on the app store

To be honest, I wasn't looking for a weight tracking application. My curiosity got the best of me based on all of the great reviews. It's only $1.99 so I figured there's no harm in seeing what all the talk is about. I have to say, I'm impressed with the quality and thought that went into this application. Great design, extremely easy to use, and it actually makes me want to start keeping track of my weight. If you appreciate well made applications, don't hesitate to buy this. You will be impressed. You may even go out and buy a scale (if you don't already have one).

This is a great example of what an iPhone app can be. Kudos to the developers.
The app itself works as described here - you can enter weight for any given day, you can view a graph, you can remove weights for specific days. All of that basic functionality is present and accounted for, and that plus the slick UI gives the app my five stars.
However, what got me even more excited was the "Coming Soon" list on their website. The developers plan great things for this app, including the ability to backup/restore your data, moving averages, multiple graph views for longer-term programs, a removal of the "only within the last 90 days" limit on entering data, and several other exciting features.
This is definitely an app to get, and a company to watch.

I was using free Weightman but moving to this sleek application made weight tracking easier and way more fun!Well worth the $1.99 I paid.Suggestions to developer:- needs an easier way to enter and view historical data for those of us who have tracked weight for months or years. This should use a date wheel or calendar and be separate so as not to spoil the current great entry method.- optional variable graph views are needed (eg month and year view)- link your program with "Lose It", a great free diet tracker

I can only say that this is visually and functionally superior... a Totally SLICK application. It does exactly what you expect it to do, no surprises, no hooks to a webpage, Simplicity in motion. The design of this application should be the standard that all designers strive to achieve.
There are minor changes (previously mentioned) that would enhance the program, I particularly liked the idea of the chart line changing color to visually indicate either positive progress or negative progress... probably not good for the color blind, but then no application that included color would benefit them.
I hope, and I mean this, that the developers at 'Tapbots' will not stop at Weightbot in their application ventures. You truly have a future !! Thank You !!!

After downloading Weightbot, I was compelled to write my first review.
I particularly appreciate :
1. Entering weight is ridiculously quick and easy. No more than three taps are required;
2. Deleting an accidental entry is not only possible (unlike other weight tracking apps), but also it's ridiculously quick and easy;
3. Receiving immediate confirmation that I am in the BMI zone of choice (BMI is not only calculated automatically, it's color coded);
4. Identifying dates with recorded weight is explicit thanks to the salient visual indicator;
And the entire process is visually downright tasty!
The app works as promised, hence the 5 stars. However, I'd like to see Tapbots tackle :
1. Ability to track body fat percentage.
2. Ability to track body measurements.
3. Ability to forecast date (based on historical data) of when weight loss/fat percentage reduction goal will be reached.
4. Ability to view historical analysis, e.g., gain/loss of pounds (daily, weekly, monthly); gain/loss of pounds (fat, muscle); and gain/loss of inches.

Outstanding little app. Feels like it was designed by Apple. Includes Moving Average line.

There are cheaper (and free) weight trackers, but when you're potentially using an application every single day, it's nice to have your interaction with that application be a pleasant experience. Clearly the developer of Weightbot understands this. Graphics are tasteful and well-designed, and the use of sound effects are subtle and appropriate (and can be disabled for those who prefer silence).
Weightbot does the basics of tracking your weight, but also features some wonderful graphs, including the ever-useful "moving average" graph line, which shows the weight trend... an important statistic for those trying to lose weight since weight can fluctuate wildly day-by-day, even if the general trend is downward. Having the moving average line eliminates the "freak out factor" caused by an overnight weight gain due to water retention from a sodium-heavy meal the night before.
For such a simple application, Weightbot does what it needs to do well. I hope to see additional applications from Tapbots, whatever they may be.

Great User Interface

I've tried another free weight tracking app, and while it worked, this one is a joy to use. The user interface is excellent, the robot theme a big seller for me, and the use of the acceleroeter in portrait and landscape mode function switching is well applied. The only thing I can really see in need of immediately improvement is the graph. While it works, it needs to be pinch-scalable, so that I can see the trend over six months rather than six days.

I absolutely love this app - definitely worth the price! I had been attempting to keep track of my weight on my Wii Fit for the past few months, but found myself not having the time to use it everyday, this app makes it much easier. When I get up in the morning, I jump on the scale and enter my weight on my iPhone, that's it! :) There are also subtle little sounds for each click/selection in Weightbot. I thought I would get tired of them right away, but it's a nice touch. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase. The developers did a great job!

Definitely worth a buck. Here are a couple suggestions though. First, could you add in color themes which change the colors of the various elements of the UI such as the LCD screen and the metal parts, as well as the graph elements. Second, could you make this app also track measurements, such as waist, chest, neck, biceps, forearm, etc. Most gym guys just want to track weight and size, not all the extra stuff most programs on this site track. If you added measurements, this app would be hands down amazing!

Quel frustration j'ai eu lorsque j'ai fait la mise à jour et que j' étais certaine d'avoir tout perdu les graphics qui me motivaient tant dans ma perte de poids!! La nouvelle version ajoute une manière de voir qui est aussi très intéressante et utile, elle complète les graphics, elle ne les remplace pas!!! Mais, il faut DEVINER que l'on doit tourner le iPod dans un sens pour voir les graphiques et le tourner dans l'autre sens pour voir les statistiques!
So, if you dont anderstand french, just remenber that you have to turn your iPod on the other side for sew your graphics, you dont lost them!! Sorry for my poor english but I want help you and others.

Weightbot does just what it says with a beautiful user interface. Normally I don't like apps that deviate from Apple's user interface guidelines, but when they're done this well I'll happily make an exception. I've also had zero crashes or bugs so far.
I had been tracking my weight using an online app, but this is more convenient and fun.
Check out their web site - there is a list of features "Coming Soon" which has some great stuff, including the removal of the 90 data limit. Clearly they are listening to user feedback. Can't wait for the update!

New version with scaling added. Now a 5 star app. Perfect!
A good start to a promising application. While the input is neat and intuitive, the graph display is limited. It could do with a means of scaling so that you can see more than a few days at a time. Until then I won't use it regularly as an alternative app has a more useful graph. Sort the scaling out and earn another two stars!

An amazing little application for 59p! It is probably the best thing I've bought from the app store so far. The interface is a custom one, yet beautifully designed with smooth transitions. A lot of thought has clearly gone into this application. There is a passcode feature so that you can protect your weight progress from prying eyes which is a must have for people embarrassed about their weight. The backup feature is quite awesome so if you ever get your iPhone/Touch stolen or whatever you can restore your data. If you turn the iPhone/Touch horizontal you get a beautiful graph of your progress which is a really nice addition to easily see your progress at a glance. Another point I should mention is that this application has support for UK measurements which is a really really nice touch here otherwise I probably wouldn't have bought it. Overall a really good buy which is worth every penny, in fact I would even pay more for it! It does everything it says on the tin and more.

With so many diets out there, a mobile application should be about motivating you to keep at it and not about a particular method. No matter what the diet this app is all about tracking your progress and giving you a nice graph to help motivate you and remind you of the progress you have made compared to the same time last week, and last month. Add to it the spectacular design and fantastic user experience and you've got an absolutely stunning application that could only be possible on the iPhone. Nice Job!
I have only one feature request, on the graph I'd like to see two other data point plotted ... 1.) a line that shows me the average weight loss as per my goals, and 2.) a line that shows me the actual weight loss averaged (not sure if that is the technical term). It can sometimes be difficult to see the weight loss trends when daily reading spike and drop ... an average of the points would provide a nice visual to show you how your weight loss is trending.
