Description:
*** SALE! Only $5.99 for remainder of November, buy it now! *** Are you tired in the morning? With HappyWakeUp® smart alarm clock you get: - an easy and refreshed wake up - no groggy feeling - a possibility to achieve more active minutes in the morning - decreased stress factors by a pleasant wake up Conventional smart alarm clocks are expensive ($150+) and cumbersome devices. With HappyWakeUp® you support sustainable development - separate devices are no longer needed to experience a smart wake up! DETAILED INFORMATION: HappyWakeUp® is the first, genuine mobile smart alarm clock based on medical knowledge and research of human sleep stages. During the last morning hours sleep is naturally fragmented. Also, there are short and subconscious periods of wakefulness. These are the optimal moments for your brain and body to wake up. HappyWakeUp® is developed to detect them. It helps your body to learn the spontaneous accurate sleep - wake rhythm (see picture). HappyWakeUp® monitors your sleep using the mobile phone microphone. It makes statistical analysis of the quality of your sleep, detecting the natural sleep cycles and the optimal wake up moments in the morning. During these moments your body and brain is ready to wake up naturally. HOW TO USE IT: HappyWakeUp® is always with you in your mobile phone and it is extremely easy to use: just start HappyWakeUp® and set an alarm. Then set the mobile phone beneath the pillow or beneath the bed linen near to the pillow (see picture). It also works on a bed side table, less than 40 cm (15") from the pillow. If HappyWakeUp® is beneath the pillow you get an individual wake-up. A gentle alarm signal is enough because you already are awake or almost-awake! The mobile phone is not sending any messages during night time and therefore it does not send any radiation to you. REVIEWS: "As I'm also a heavy sleeper this alarm indeed does wake me up refreshed and ready for a new start of the day." -www.s60.com "It does what it promises and is well worth the buy." -www.s60.com HappyWakeUp® has been introduced in several magazines (e.g., Der Spiegel, Finnish Science, and The Morning News) and has gained wide popularity among Nokia mobile phones (sold in over 100 countries all over the world). The application is the result of a Finnish study conducted in the Tampere University of Technology and the University of Helsinki. The HappyWakeUp® technology is patented. For a demonstrational, lite version of HappyWakeUp®, please see the HappyNap application in an App Store near you!

Reviews:
Expensive bit it doesn't really work By: Bone doctor - Jun 19, 2009 Version: 1.0 I had high hopes. Unfortunately, the microphone doesn't seem to pick up my movements from the bedside table. It usually just goes off at the wake up time like a normal (but more expensive) alarm clock.
Just doesn't work... By: landofshane - 30-Sep-2009 Version: 1.1 This is an update to my original review of V1.0, updating it for V1.1. Nothing has changed with V1.1 - The app still doesn't work as advertised!
I look forward to being able to update this review one day saying its all fixed, but currently that seems a long way off. Until then, my reccomendation is to keep your £7 and use the standad alarmclock as that's the only way this is working at the moment....

After having a trial of this on my Nokia, I've been waiting eagerly for the iPhone version.
Having now used it for 2 weeks I am very disappointed. It just doesn't work as it says it does.
It is meant to wake me in a 'light sleep' moment in the 20min leading up to the alarm time... instead it is simply going off at the time I set it for and giving a message saying it could not detect a light sleep moment to wake me earlier.
I have tried everything, placing the phone in different places (beside bed, under pillow, etc), sleeping if different locations (various hotel rooms etc). I've even tried making lots of noise when I have woken up just before it is set to go off - still noting.
Based on this 2 weeks experience, this is just a very expensive replacement for the standard alarm that promises lots but doesn't deliver...
Very Disappointed.
Not working By: T4tahir - 07-Aug-2009 Version: 1.1 I totally agree this software doesnt work on iPhone as it was working on Nikia n95 actually it dosent even activate alarm on ipone is 3.0.1
