Reviews:
Pretty Good By: nursejer - Jun 11, 2009 Version: 1.0 I bought this thinking that it would help to review and learn medications for the NCLEX-RN. I felt like this app did help to review and quiz yourself on your knowledge of medications. Plus Kaplan is the best in terms of review options. Overall there are far too many medications to comprehend and fully understand. I would say to focus on basic medications if you felt like you really are struggling in pharm. Truely to really help you study for NCLEX buy a more complete review book/app.

Much better than paper flashcards By: sir harley - Feb 7, 2009 Version: 1.0 Great way to learn the information. I like the 4 sections.
NO MORE BULKY FLASHCARDS By: Jordy.R. - Feb 2, 2009 Version: 1.0 Quick and easy access to hundreds of medications anytime, anywhere. I'm able to quiz myself, keep track of my scores and averages. Breaks down meds into categories or can quiz all of them at once. A must have for every nursing student!
Student By: Elly C - Jan 26, 2009 Version: 1.0 Great app!!!
RN Medications Flashcards By: liz Di - Jan 14, 2009 Version: 1.0 Medication Flashcards-I have been an ICU RN since 1990 and wish I would have had this tool when in school. Will use it now and while at home also. Work in a teaching hospital and will recommend this to instructors for their students!! This is awesome!! Kudos!!
Great app! Thanks! By: zigggzaggg - Jan 11, 2009 Version: 1.0 This let's me study the required meds whenever I have a few minutes to spare. It's well organized, complete, easy to use. Thanks!
medication flash cards By: soon to b-EMT-P - Mar 5, 2009 Version: 1.0 I wish that i could pick favorites so that I can narrow down the drugs that I wish to study more for my NREMT. Hopefully they will be able to allow us to pick and choose which drugs we want to study more...other than that it is a good program
i'm taking the nclex later this fall By: coopdizzle34 - Jan 30, 2009 Version: 1.0 thought this would be great for the pharm info. have a couple of thoughts: 1. medication name only appears on first view of card; should be on all four (when you're looking at so much info, it's very easy to forget the name of the drug) 2. in addition to drug name, category and subcategory on each screeen would be helpful 3. there should also be a back arrow on all screens 4. a search function would be nice to look for specific drug 5. sorting within categories would be nice, ie within cv drugs, being able to look just at antilipemics having said that, the info seems VERY thorough and includes antidotes. love the drug categories and subcategories. nice job; look forward to updates!!!!!
handy and helpful By: iMissG - Jan 12, 2009 Version: 1.0 most importantly, concise..
Test isn't really a test By: WonderFlea - Jan 12, 2009 Version: 1.0 I've been looking for a compilation of flashcards that I could study. This gives basic info, not extremely detailed. The test is a self based "test" (ie. Did you remember the card?).
It is simple, easy to use, and has a lot of common cards for study.
Was expecting more By: Cym23 - Aug 18, 2009 Version: 1.0 I was really hoping for a program that would allow me to review pharmacology information on my phone. However, the information is very incomplete and seems to be missing some important nursing considerations. It also doesn't say if the side effects listed are the most common or the more dangerous. They certainly don't list all of the side effects, so that part is worthless. It would also be nice to have the method of action included, since that is also an essential thing to know about a drug. Also, I was hoping that it would have some questions as part of the "test" mode. The idea of the program is great and could be really useful, it just needs a little more work.
Not so good By: Adrum - Jun 2, 2009 Version: 1.0 I thought it would be great to have med flash cards, but the viewing options are much to be desired. You can't go back and forth between meds for comparison or pull up a specific med or even create your own study pile. Before you spend the money look into something else...
Not good By: Rosita7500 - Apr 12, 2009 Version: 1.0 Waste of money
Not worth the money By: Aphilions - Mar 29, 2009 Version: 1.0 This application is not an effective learning tool at all. It's way far from helpful compared to a drug book unless you can read information about some 300 drugs and can memorize and retrieve what you read like a computer. One would learn more about the drugs by writing their own drug cards.
The quiz mode is not a quiz of any type. You just read the same exact drug cards and it keeps track of how many cards you've read? There is no question or any other tactics or method to help the learner retain the information about the drugs. MISLEADING!!!
I want my money back. No one would pass the Medication questions on the NCLEX from using this, unless one spends 8 hours a day reading one drug card over and over.
Not as good as I had hoped for, very basic and no real quiz. By: Circejane - Jan 28, 2009 Version: 1.0 Nice amount of information on drugs, the 'four-sided flash card' feature is excellent. The actual number of meds is woefully short, though (only two hemo drugs, warfarin and heparin, for example). That's still okay, as these cards seem to contain only the most commonly used meds. My big disappointment was the quiz feature. This was one of the main reasons that I bought this app--otherwise I could have used the old-fashioned box of Pharmacology flash cards that I already had. The quiz feature doesn't actually ASK you anything, it simply has you forward through the four screens for each drug, then hit the check mark at the end. At first I thought that it might be mixing up side effects, contraindications, etc. of various drugs and testing you in a true/false format (there is an X that you can hit, rather than the check), but that does not seem to be the case. After going through numerous drugs in various categories, my score was 100% by simply clicking the check after every entry. It doesn't test the user's knowledge of the meds in any way--calling this a 'quiz' is bordering on false advertising. If you're looking for just the pertinent info on common meds to review in flash card format, then get this app. If you're looking for anything in-depth or wanting a feature to test your knowledge (as I was), then skip this and wait for something else to come out.
Not worth the money!!! By: Rivernurse - Sep 2, 2009 Version: 1.0 This app was very disappointing to me. The quiz mode is a joke! Instead of an actual quiz you just review cards. I've purchased apps for less than $1.00 that
were more helpful.
Needs a lot of improvements! By: Intenseitalian - Feb 23, 2009 Version: 1.0 Lots of side effects are missing. The quiz mode is the same as the study mode. I think anyone wanting to buy this app should wait to see if they fix the current problems, cause the way it is now it's not worth the money.
Please make the quiz an actual quiz, and give more details about side effects!
Student By: MrNurseStudent - Feb 13, 2009 Version: 1.0 This app leaves much to be desired.
First, the interface is not very intuitive. The forward button for each card is hard to press. The name of the drug is only on the first card.
The most dissappointing thing is that the quiz feature is not really a quiz. You basically check to see if you know the drug. Not really helpful. You'd learn more by making your own flashcards from scratch.
Not worth the money.
stupid By: annquilloy - 6-May-2009 Version: 1.0 i cant even open the application!!!!very stupid!!!i need a refund!!!!
