I have owned Wunder Radio since it first was available for the iPhone. The additional features added are very nice and I've had great results. I was recently driving across the state and once I lost the signal to the local AM station I was listening too on the Radio I switched to Wunder Radio and kept on listening. The only issue I had was when I lost #G & Edge reception because I was too far into the country -- that's a limit of any web-enabled device.

At first i was sceptical about paying for this app, but after reading up reviews and checking up on the net what stations you can get i took the plunge. Let me say this is the best radio app i have downloaded, i can get the local radio stations as well as Radio 1, and also my favourite station across the world, i am really impressed, £3.49 for a digital radio is nothing, i recommend this to anyone.

I'm back to a five star rating. Wunder's wizzards have patched around a problem accessing some stations via Tuned.Mobi. Many of my favorite stations such as WTAM, WKBN, WJNO are again able to be accessed. The "repairs" were made within a week of their developing. Wunder Radio is the best radio tuner app I've found for my iPodT2G and I've tried many! It has the largest, fastest, and most user friendly search engine for finding "on air" and Internet stations of all the apps. Great sound quality and most dependable, too. Thanks for adding Internet browsing while listening to stations and background play allowing use of other apps also while listening to stations. The 'Favorites Menu' allows saving both stations and web sites!

This is one of the main reasons i bought an iphone and pay the $30 for internet to att. Use the radio everywere put mexico stations in our store and always have people asking me how we do this without a laptop so portable. Have seen a couple of people go and buy an itouch or even an iphone becouse of this to drive around with this! Love it have all the radio apps would have paid more than what they cost ! Iphone never stops amazing me !

Guys, please do not waste money on any other radio application for iPhone ever. This is the only one application you need and believe me, wunder radio got everything you need... This is my first review on any application. I could not stop myself after using application for less than 30 minute. It works wonderfully over wifi or 3G. All other applications down down down!!! I wasted $$$ for different radio application. However, this one got everything I need inlcuding my HD local stations!!!! :) It worth every penny you spend.... believe me!!!

Well worth the one-time price!!! Worldwide stations 24/7! Radio, talk, news, etc. However it did close several times, don't know why. But it rarely buffer once you are streaming. Unlike aol music and pandora which time's out often. This doesn't. Also included is a browser! I travel often and it's great to hear the music from there that i miss while at home. Just open this app, find location and you got your music station. Coolest thing ever!!!

I have favorite talk radio shows I like to listen to of which many are on XM radio and not on a local station where I live. This application gave me access to live feeds of stations that I could not get on other iPhone radio apps. Much more robust than the others I've tried (paid and free). I no longer will miss a second of the shows I like when I'm out for a walk or away from my car/home. GREAT JOB!!
Update: I didn't notice the "in app" web browser". While I'd love to have background app function, this is great because I can still surf the web and listen to streaming radio all within the app. Again, great job!

Streaming interruptions

This is a great app. Found lots of radio stations I used to listen to before moving. Having a problem on iPhone 3gs. Every stream I select is interrupted after playing for a few mins. Tried to turn off auto sleep feature but didn't make a difference. App works perfectly on my original iPhone with OS 3.01 so I think problem is specific to 3gs (and maybe 3g). Five stars if this problem can be resolved.Update:Streaming problems seem resolved with the 3.1 OS upgrade. Seems that the problem was caused by interference between Bluetooth and wifi on the 3gs. Streaming problems are gone now.

This is a fantastic app which has left me even more amazed at the versatility of this little system I hold in my hand. I can listen in superb quality to almost any radio station in the world. For the nay Sayers I would ask did you 5 years ago ever imagine that such possibilities were ahead. I am listening entirely on wifi so cannot comment on limitations of 3g/edge but I am receiving perfect reception with no buffering issues. I can only reiterate the wonderfullness of this and recommend you get it. Only downside is that it allowed me to hear England lose to Holland at cricket. Can't really deduct points for that.

Wunder Radio is an unbelievable app on so many levels. For one, the fact that it brings audio streaming to the iPhone/iPod is amazing considering this is not a feature available in Safari. Also, the fact that it has it's own built in browser is even better because then, even if the station isn't in Wunder's database, you can still go to the website and start the stream manually. But, so far, I've found that to be a rarity. The database of stations is SO HUGE that I really don't have to do any web searching to find what I want. Also, the location feature allowing you to listen to stations where you are is cool. But, in all honesty, the reason I love this app the most is because you can listed to radio from coast to coast and find things that would take a lot of searching to locate that is now available with a flick of a finger.
To those who may be concerned due to negative reviews, I think there are two main issues that are pretty easily addressed:
1. The stream is unreliable or times out. One of the key points to streaming audio or video is to remember that any stream is only as reliable as your connection and the connection of the provider. ANY stream is going to be much more reliable on a wifi network vs 3G, simply because the connection is more consistent. But, even so, a provider may have a low bandwidth connection to their server, and that's something that can't be controlled. Just keep in mind that the best way this or any other radio player will work is if you are on a constant connection to a station that is setup to handle the server load that comes with streaming.
2. Stations are missing or unavailable. Just remember that there are THOUSANDS of radio stations in the US alone. The fact that Wunder has the database it does is amazing in itself, but I can imagine it's also a lot of work to find each of these stations and keep up with them on a constant basis. Something that I don't think a lot of people understand is that the bigger stations will actually switch there IP addresses every couple of hours to knock listeners off of the stream to clear it for other listeners. If this happens while you are listening to the station, your connection will be dropped. Also, if the IP has been changed, Wunder's database has to be updated, so it may not be fixed immediately. If that happens, just be happy that you can navigate to the site of the station you are looking for and re-establish the connection that way.
This app is worth the money, and I can imagine that it will only get better with time.

All easy to find and access - search by country or town, local radio etc
Easy to use interface, store your favourite channels on a separate list
Worked immediately without any setting up
Must be one of the best applications in the apps store - may be more expensive than some but its worth every penny many times over

Was looking for a great streaming app to download and absolutely love it. I found every, and I mean every radio station that I was looking for all the way from L.A. to the caribbeans. Would recommend anyone to download it. Buffering isn't too good in the first few seconds of play, but after that it's like riding around in your car in whatever city you wanna be in with no issues. Definitely worth $7.00.

There are other streaming audio apps out there, but the sheer volume of radio stations I can play through my iPhone using Wunder Radio is incredible. And of course, this also means driving around in my car, listening to radio from practically anyplace in the world, in any genre (it's a satellite radio killer!).
The performance has been quite good; they do a reasonable job of telling you whether Edge or 3G is optimal for each station, and those designations have been largely accurate. Of course WiFi is ideal - but I can't really complain about performance. An occasional hiccup is to be expected, given how this technology is evolving. This is an excellent, well-thought-out (and well behaved) stable application - and a real bargain, in my opinion.

This application was exactly what I was 'hoping' would be available to provide me AM radio anywhere and anytime - in a manner where I can search by station, location or genre/show.
I was hesitant in the purchase - it would have been nice to have a trial or a 'Lite' version prior to laying down my itune coin.. but I am very excited to have this functionality and am a very happy customer. I would purchase again and recommend to my friends... I hope they continue updates and provide free updates to current customers.

October 19, 2008 Power went out at the San Diego Chargers vs Buffalo Bills game so it was not televised for over 45 minutes. So I searched for a San Diego station and was listening to the play by play in 2 minutes. Doesn't get any cooler than that! This is a Five star app. I found every single local radio station that I ever listen to. And wow - sound quality is far better than on my car radio. (No more static) Works great on edge and wifi.

Ok, I was also VERY skeptical to pay $6 for an app but I am more than happy with what I got here. I did a lot of research on best apps out there that supported AM radio and this is BY FAR the best option out there even with the price tag. I've had zero problems with streaming and or crashing and I've found every single talk radio station and sports talk channel that I've looked for. Highly recommend to anyone interested in AM content, far superior to any free apps out there!

This is the reason to own an iPhone. I never wanted to spend a lot of money for a monthly subscription to satelite radio. This is better. I love talk radio and have been able to listen to a huge variety of my favorites and new shows over the past week. Also, with colleg football upon us this app is a life saver. Found the Alabama vs VT game while driving home late Sat. night. Listened to the whole game and never lost signal. Thanks for this app.

I have a full screen of radio apps on my iPod Touch and Wunder Radio is clearly the best. I challenge everyone to find a radio station on the planet that streams that can't be tuned with this app. The multiple directories have tens of thousands of stations and users can add their own. The search is intelligent so you can type in the name of a show, a sports team, whatever you want and it'll go find it. If you already have RadioTime.com presets you're good to go with Wunder Radio. I use it everyday to listen to shows, great music, and police and fire departments. It's a must have if you enjoy audio streaming. The app is worth every cent.

A fully functioning Internet Radio

At last - an application which transforms your IPhone into a fully functioning portable Internet radio. This is the one application I would not want to be without. Unlike all other similar applications I have seen to date, this one does work fine with all the BBC Stations. It works perfectly with WiFi, 3G and even Edge. I have used this in the car, with a mini-jack connection to my car system, and it stays connected.
If I had to criticise, the quality of the Streams are not always perfect. I suspect this relates to the quality of the source, rather than the application itself however. This doesn't matter much to me as I listen mostly to talk Radio, but this may be a factor for those who want this for music. I have also noticed that very occasionally the Stream will be lost (even where there is a strong WiFi connection) and it is necessary to restart the application to get it going again. This may be a bug which will be picked up in future updates.
In summary, this is a must-have application. How much would you have to pay for a portable, internet radio? This would be good value at many times the price.

This app looks great and in principal is great....it just keeps crashing or stopping. I would have put it at 5 stars if it was more reliable....bring out a more stable version and I will certainly change my rating!
UPDATE:- Seems much more stable since the update...still a few issues but more solid up to 4 stars.
Upgraded to 5 stars...this has become a very stable well designed program..particularly good over WIFI!
