I upgraded from the free version after realizing it was one of my most used apps, and thought it would be stingy not to pay the author. It does what it does very well with a very clean interface. Ok I guess you could achieve a similar thing with an rss reader, but for £1.79 someone has already done the hard work.

Worth every penny. I use this app more than any other one. I am a bit on a news junkie and I use this app to get a very quick idea of what is going on in the world. It seems to be reliable and has never crashed on me.

If u want up to the minute info then go for this!! Don't bother with bbcreader as this is a heck of a lot faster!! I'd recommend this to anyone!!

This app does what it's supposed to do: it aggregates news headlines. However, it's so badly designed, it's laughable. Slow and clunky, this app is in desperate need of a makeover to make it slicker. I hope the designers are listening!

I used the free version of this app for quite some time and thought I'd benefit from purchasing the full version. The promise of choosing from 250+ UK news sources was a good selling point.
What a big disappointment this was though. If I go to "All" I get to see news from just 5 sources! The Movies tab has 4 sources, Sports has 7, "Biz" 5, Tech 6 and Custom lets you choose your own set of 10 sources from a list of just 48, and a large number of these being local sources that are no use whatsoever for me.
Add to this letdown, I find the customisation very limited, I have to clear my customised list of 10 sources before I can change any of them! It uses a none-standard user-interface when the iPhone has a perfectly usable one. The offer of "offline browsing" actually means opening pages in Safari and relying on that for the offline mode. Pointless as you have to load the page you want to read offline while you're online and you only get the Safari max of 8 pages!
Despite these negative points and blatant overselling by the authors, this is still a useful application as provides a quick and easy front-end to main headlines from the major sources. Easier than an RSS reader and still gets used daily.
I would be happy to have paid 59p for this application, but not the £1.79 it cost me.
Due to the authors misleading description I will be looking to claim a refund now for false/misleading advertising.
Before posting this review I emailed the developers for their comments, but after nearly 2 weeks they haven't responded.

Just bought. Not very customisable. Most of the mainstream news all available via free rss where you can get exactly what you want. OK if you want local papers that don't have rss, I guess, and can't be bothered using safari. Would like to be able to customise each section with the exactly the feeds I want (then usefull alongside an rss feed reader) and with a much wider choice of feeds. Look forward to updates to see if worth keeping. Fingers crossed. Def needs further work or be cheaper to offer value for my money.

One of the news headlines for my local (Edinburgh) newspaper is 28 days old and that is the prime story.
Supremely unimpressed at the headline / story updates. Make your own mind up but I'm not happy.
Not enough updates, stick to the lite version.

This app is very slow . There is a large amount of content from a variety of sources but the iphone is about speed and conpared to other apps it is like waiting for paint to dry.Other apps will serve this purpose better. If an update comes out that speeds the app up then this could become the best as the content is excellent.
