Description:
Reader is a news feed reader for the iPod/iPhone Touch that supports many of the popular feed types including ATOM and RSS. Reader is designed for people who love their news feeds and have a ton of content to browse through. Categorization and quick sorting features allow you to fly through your feeds much faster than ever before. ---------------------- Update 3/31/09: Google Reader import should be working for everyone now! ---------------------- ---------------------- Key Features: ---------------------- Search Feeds - Powered By Google - You can easily type in a few words and find any feed you're looking for. Forget typing in long URLs, a simple search does the trick. Import your feeds from your Netvibes account, Google Reader account or My Yahoo! account. - Easily import the feeds that you read in your Netvibes, Google Reader or My Yahoo! accounts right into Reader. Just type in your username and password and we'll fetch them from your account. Use categories to keep everything in order. - If you have a lot of feeds, its tough to find what you're looking for. With categories, you can keep your finance news and your sports news separate. Browse/sort through your feeds in a variety of ways. - See a quick overview of all of your feeds and filter by category, drill down by tapping a category or sort by date, new items or name. Keep track of which stories you've read already. - Quick "Unread" indicators show you how many stories you haven't read yet. Quickly identify feeds with icons. - Reader pulls the feed favicons to make feeds more unique and identifiable. Share Stories - Post to your Twitter, open in Safari, or even send it to your friend, all within Reader! View the full story on the website without closing Reader. - A lot of feeds only provide short descriptions of the actual story. With Reader, you can open the story right on the website and see the full content, all without closing the application. ---------------------- IMPORTANT NOTE: ---------------------- Reader does not sync with Google Reader, Netvibes or My! Yahoo. While we are considering these features for future versions, users need to understand that Reader currently doesn't retain this functionality. Reader's integration with these services is purely limited to the ability to import your current news feeds. Questions? Feel free to contact us.

Solid RSS with minor preference quirks By: flashboy - Apr 23, 2009 Version: 1.2.1 I have not tried alot of RSS app but this one seems to do what I wanted. I don't need the ability to sync with a desktop app so I can't comment on that aspect. Love the look of the interface, nice clean, easy to navigate. Once feeds have loaded seems to be quick. Loading 32 feeds seems to take almost a minute though. When you are in a certain category though, it refreshes only that category. There are options to email story, post to twitter, and open in Safari, nice options. I like how you can do a search for a feed instead of knowing the exact feed address. I would like however more search results, sometimes I just to a search for a subject and see what feeds are out there, Reader seems to limit the search results to about 12? or so. If you go to the preferences under the setting in homscreen, you can turn auto update on/off, turn the feed count badge on/off. I don't see a preference to show the latest 20 or 50 or 100 posts per feed? I think it's by date but not sure where I can edit these preferences. How does reader now how many posts to show me? I can add flickr streams as well. All in all I got this to get rid of all of the different news apps I had, got rid of about 5 apps and just now just use Reader for news. Nice app, looking forward to updates. Cheers.
Best RSS reader! By: Nighthawk441 - Feb 12, 2009 Version: 1.1.1 I have tired every rss app out there ( newstand gazett pro rss reader etc.) and this is the best. As of the last update the app is very stable, can easily find rss feeds by typing the starting URL of the website, or by searching, can IMPORT WEB FEEDS FROM google reader yahoo and the other one. This app also can view safari pages within the app. The Interface is simple and east to use, and fits the iPhone kinds theme. A quality app you would expect from enormego. (or twenty08)
Best RSS app on the AppStore, hands down! By: the_jackee - Jan 7, 2009 Version: 1.0 I use my Netvibes account religiously. In fact, I have Netvibes open more than any other website on the internet. When I found out that these guys created an RSS app that imported your Netvibes feeds, I just had to have it. This thing is unreal. It's simple, quick and you can even read content when you don't have an internet connection! (No idea why they don't mention that in the app description, it's a HUGE feature!) If you've been trying other RSS apps and just haven't found the right one for you, give this app a chance. Reader is how Apple should of done RSS on the iphone in the first place.
Terrific reader, with one flaw: updates are very slow By: hessianmercenary - May 11, 2009 Version: 1.3 With only a few feeds, the app is perfect: It's got a very pleasant UI and a good system for organizing feeds: favorites, inclusion in an "overview" section, categories, etc. I've tried all the RSS apps, and this one is the best hands down, with one frustrating cavaet: It's painfully slow to update feeds, and this becomes almost intolerable if you have more than 30 feeds to update. Less bothersome is the slight delay that occurs in switching from one mode to another. My dream app would combine Reader's design with NetNewsWire's update speed.
Decent Reader By: Cherice B - May 1, 2009 Version: 1.3 I think I have downloaded about every RSS reader on the market. This one comes in second place to Manifesto. In comparing the two...I really like the aggregate view in Manifesto and the ability to mark all feeds read at once. I tried using the Overview screen, but it's a bit slow when selecting a category and doesn't always load the correct feeds. If that was added to this reader and the sync feed time was improved, it would take first place for me. This one is definitely better than Feeds or ProRSS. I got lucky and picked it up for free. If the enhancements were added, would be worth the $3. Without them, I consider it a $.99 app.

Just what I wanted! By: Borismelloul - Mar 30, 2009 Version: 1.2 I tried tons of rss readers and It exactly answers all of my needs!
There is 2 things to improve and it would be perfect :
- support for universal characters by using at least unicode (that will be ok for now)
- an option to check if we want items imported to the feed to see offline like pictures in an rss (only an option since it can be long to download)
After that I'll correct to a 5 star.
Thanks for your work!!
Great By: jdotbakes - Mar 23, 2009 Version: 1.1.1 The best part by far is that you don't have to manually enter in the addresses for your feeds. The search for feeds feature is so helpful. I am new to RSS so I didn't know hardly any feeds. Searching allowed me to put in a few key words and presto I have my feeds. Also able to put your feeds into categories. Helpful for any organized person. Only thing one thing I wish for. I wish it would automatically update feeds and give you a notification on the icon (kinda like the red dot for voicemail). Other than that great. You will be so happy to not have to manually enter feeds, it is worth it just for that.
ALMOST the best RSS Reader By: WilliamGalindo - Jan 31, 2009 Version: 1.1 This is a really great RSS reader. I've been using Web Feeds as my main RSS reader, which is amazing but has a problem with always crashing. I since ditched Web Feeds for Reader since it has what Web Feeds lacks. I just wanted to point out a few things you should change. 1) Be able to change the name of the feed. 2) Have an option to use smaller feed icons 3) Ability to share with iphone Twitter programs and Instapaper. (have the options along side 'e-mail this article) 4) SYNC with Google Reader. 5) Remove categories icon, kind of pointless cause you can see your categories in the feeds section, 6) A better icon. The current icon looks kind of like an e-book reader program.

Great Standalone Rss app By: Urbankid78 - Jan 11, 2009 Version: 1.0 I did not give a 5 because, there are a few bugs, such as backing out of an article at times doesn't bring you back to the home screen. But this app is worth the price of a burger, & better than the star rating shown. The google reader web app is comprable & if you like that stick to it, but my personal preference is for the user expierence of this app. I'm sure the updates, will solidy this app even further. I haven't had any crashing issues for 2 weeks, but I have had some importing issues. But once my feeds were in this app was moved down to my launchpad.
Import from google reader just doesn't work By: DiggyK - Aug 2, 2009 Version: 1.3 Period. Waste of my money.
Nice app, but small bug with 3.0FW By: N1NT3ND0 - Jun 24, 2009 Version: 1.3 Hi, ty for this app, it my favourite rss reader on iphone! But i have one bug with 3.0 firmware - landscape mode didnt work. "Lock orientation" is off. Can u fix this in next update? Also, u thibk about adding more language for Reader interface?
Best Reader Around. By: Artistika - May 13, 2009 Version: 1.3 And I think I have tried the greater majority of rss readers in search of one that did everything I needed it to. This is the only one that does everyhing I need, and then some. I never expected the ability to use Instapaper bookmarks as well but that solidified to me the fact hat this was the only reader I needed.I highly recommend this.

Best RSS Reader By: rduatc - Apr 4, 2009 Version: 1.2 If you need an RSS reader, this is the one to get. None of the others I've tried, both paid and free compare. This is a definite must have.
It's like Netvibes for my iPhone! By: rom3nator - Apr 2, 2009 Version: 1.2 Awesome, this is going on my dock.
