YES! My favorite and most used 3rd party Mac app on the iPhone!  rating of 1Password
By: Dosjon - Jun 18, 2009
Version: 2.0
My most loved Mac app comes to the iPhone! If you're the type of person who uses the same password for everything needs this app. It quickly generates strong passwords for your websites, remembers important info (like credit cards,) and integrates into your web browser. All you have to do is remember the master password for 1P and it takes care of the rest. Oh, and I saw that a lot of features are already on their way since the Developers have already submitted an update to Apple. Thanks for making this FREE!

Great App - Does what I need it to  rating of 1Password
By: Diggin55 - Dec 4, 2008
Version: 1.3.2
I need to keep track of many logins and passwords for work & personal accounts. This app securely keeps them right at my fingertips. I purchased the Mac OS version for my MacBook Pro & was able to import all of my info from the previous windows based program I was using for this purpose. If you have too many accounts and passwords to remember I would recommend this app. Probably most useful when paired with its' Mac or Windows partner application.

By far THE BEST  rating of 1Password
By: Bear_Hunter - Aug 3, 2008
Version: 1.2
First let me caveat my review by stating that I am not affiliated with Agile Web Solutions in any way. Second, I am not an Agile "cronie" who has been using their software.
I recently discovered 1Pass in the app store. I did not know who Agile was or what they had to offer. My initial impression of the phone app was that it was "ok" since it seemed a bit tedious entering all the information. I decided to visit the Agile website and discovered the desktop companion program. Let me tell you that I never in a million years thought I would need something like this, but now that I have tried it, I could never live without it again. So I feel sorry for you windows users, because you will never realize the true power of this application. It's not just for passwords, it is for anything you want to keep secure (ie Wallet items, notes, etc..). Wallet items go beyond credit card, drivers lisences, etc... there are a multiple of formats to choose from (Airport settings, iTunes, passports, other licenses, FTP settings, Bank information, and the list goes on). Secure notes are good for items that do not fall into "wallet" categories. For example, I saved my vehicle door lock/unlock codes (which I could never remember) and now I have all my information at my fingertips. The ability to spot "phishing" sites immediately is awesome. The multi level security uses the built in features and encryption of the Mac keychain. What does this mean? This means that your sensitive information is resident on your machine and your machine only. Nothing is kept on a website. The ability to sync the phone app with the companion desktop application is awesome.
I have also heard that the guys at Agile always listen to their customers as shown by the amount of updates that these guys put out. Keeping up with consumer demand speaks volumes about the dedication to their customers and their product.
Features I would like to see incorporated:
1. The ability to have "other" within the Wallet items which would allow the user to customize the entry. Example, I use VPN for work on a Windows laptop, and there are several log in items and passwords that I wanted to capture. I used the "FTP" format to fill in the info, which worked but it shows as "FTP" in "kind".
Great Job on this app guys.
As far as the people reporting crashes... you have corrupt firmware on your phone. Quit blaming the developers for something that is not even their problem.
Corrupt firmware is caused by the method YOU used to update your phone. iTunes 7.7 is largely responsible for that. If you just docked your phone and let iTunes do everything (backup all personal data, and stream the update while it was simultaneously downloading), there is a good chance that your firmware is corrupt (experiencing lags, Wifi signal strength, etc) and is the cause for most unstable applications.
Everyone using the method outlined below has ZERO issues with 2.0.
1. Unsync all your personal data OFF the phone (music, contacts, calendars, videos, etc). This will leave approx 210mb of "other" (your old firmware). The reason you should do this is due to the fact that iTunes encounters errors while trying to back all your junk up as part of the update process.
2. Download the update WITHOUT installing. Do not try and stream the update while it is happening.
3. Install the update. This will take 10-15 minutes because you don't have any personal data to back up and it will reduce the chances for any errors.
4. Resync your data back into your phone.
5. Enjoy bug free use of your phone.
In summary, don't blame Agile for your crashes because you did not mitigate risk while updating your phone.

One of the best Mac (and now iPhone) apps  rating of 1Password
By: *Hunter - Nov 27, 2009
Version: 2.2.1
I used Roboform when I was a PC user, but found nothing to securely protect my notes and logins on my new Mac (that I liked) until I stumbled across 1 Password. I have seen the product come along way. Here are a few comments after being a client for a few years.
* Their customer service is great. I have made feature requests and asked numerous questions and always received a very fast, thorough response.
* The product quality is top notch. They release updates frequently and the product has always been very stable....and I am a heavy user.
* The native iPhone app is fantastic. My one complaint is that while synching wirelessly is nice, I'd prefer to be able to keep my desktop and iPhone in synch during the tethered synching process, if possible.

These guys are the hardest working dev's around. While the initial releases have been OK, trust me, as one of the 100 beta testers, it's getting better and better with every new build.
These guys are listening and working very hard.
Recent builds are narrowing the gap between the Mac version, and the iPhone version.
Given the tasks at hand, some patience is needed here -as well as constructive criticism and feedback.
I'm nothing more than a happy (paid) customer and user of 1P.
I am not affiliated with Agile and am only trying to help make a better product.
Give it a try, and some time - it's so good now that they're very close to making everyone happy.
And the good news - a quote from one of the coders: "...and we're only 10% done!"
That's the kind of folks I like to support!
5-Stars for what I'm seeing in newest builds not yet here.

When i first got my itouch i was really excited because i couldn't afford the iphone (not the phone itself but the phone plan). So the first time i used it i discoverd that about 15 people in my apartment conplex had wifi. But to make a long story short , when i used someone esles wifi they went into my itouch on the gmail application and completely changed my password. I was amazed to think that the itouch would have such a wide security gap. Now that i have this appication i feel safer stealing my neighbors wifi.....lol...

Particularly good for Mac owners  rating of 1Password
By: Sinnycool - 09-May-2009
Version: 1.4
Not only is the iPhone app excellently thought out but the benefit of having the Mac app is great!
- sync with your Mac works very quickly and efficiently (once you figure out you have turn OSX firewall off)
- data entry via the Mac is excellent, particularly the 'learning' Logins feature
- auto logging in to your bank/other websites via Safari is very sweet indeed
A very well thought out product with a very well supported website/forum. All in all, top rate!

Good and almost great  rating of 1Password
By: dmbin - Nov 25, 2009
Version: 2.2.1
If combined with the desktop version of 1password (which works wonderfully on all browsers I have used), this iPhone version can be extremely useful. Two features that would really polish the iPhone version for me:
* Have the option to open logins either in the 1password internal browser, OR in the iPhone safari browser (with the login info pre-filled in the iphone safari version as well). There are many times that I avoid using 1password for logins because it limits my internet activity to the limited functionality of the 1password browser.
* Like the rest of the iPhone OS, have 1password recognize any phone number and allow us to tap on the phone number to dial it.
Thanks for the great program, and I will be looking forward to seeing these features in the future.

Indispensable!  rating of 1Password
By: JuanMN - Nov 29, 2008

In all the years I have been using the web, I cannot think of many programs that fall under my persoanl definition of 'the killer app.' 1Password falls into this select group. I guarantee, you will wonder how you lived without it. The desktop version is also a must-have. I've converted everyone in my family into true believers, and all they say is "why did it take so long for someone to make something like 1Password?'

God Bless  rating of 1Password
By: mex_storm - Aug 2, 2008

I am using this without the desktop version. I just had a couple of sites that I needed to log into that were driving me nuts. My Outlook Web Access password is the same as my network password so it requires numbers, letters, caps, symbols....the whole shabang. Since I need to check that account often I was getting really annoyed typing it out each time. Now...a quick 4 digit passcode, two click and I am in my account. Well done. Great app.

Elegant, brilliant and indispensable utility for the iPhone.  rating of 1Password
By: iPost - Aug 2, 2008

I struggled with it at first. I didn't know what I was doing. Then, presto, chango and....wow, it works like magic!!!
Nothing is better than 1Password on the iPhone. I have loved the desktop version since they first introduced it.
Their support is the best in the business. Their updates are way ahead of the curve. And now this phenomenal version for the iPhone
as only Agile Web Solutions could pull it off. One big unqualified rave.+++++

Very good password management app  rating of 1Password
By: Paradoc - Nov 29, 2008
Version: 1.3.2
Overall, very pleased with this app. Simple and secure creation and storage of passwords and login information that syncs with the desktop app for Mac. You can use the iPhone app as a standalone, but it really works well in combination with the desktop app so you always have access to your secure data when you are on the road.
Although very good now, a couple of suggestions for future versions:
1) Would be nice if the iPhone app would use the standard safari browser, instead of 1Passwords own browser, when you click on a bookmark. Many banking sites support Safari on the iPhone but not the browser builtin to 1Password.
2) Would be great to generate secure passwords from the iPhone app (the desktop app does this already)
3) It would be nice to automate the sync between the iPhone and the desktop versions. Currently you have to manually do that. It would be great if that happened automatically every time you sync'd the phone, or if you could do via the iPhones "push" services once Apple gets those fixed.

Fantastic App  rating of 1Password
By: Bronco46 - Sep 10, 2009
Version: 2.2
I love this app, and the desktop app. Properly used, and it not at all hard to set up this app is an easy way to make surfing safe in so many ways.
It creates and archives your passwords for you allowing you to have random secure passwords that you don't have to worry about forgetting. The name says it all, you only have to remember one password once you start using this app. The app uses the strongest possible encryption. The app also allows you to create as many identities as you need for filling forms on the net. Credit card information can also be stored and the application will add it at your request when necessary. Another thing I use a lot is the secure note section, this allows you to store notes. I use it store all my application registration information in one place where it's completely safe.
Lastly using this app whether on you computer or on the phone allows you to fill in passwords while in public places without worrying about having someone looking over your shoulder stealing you password, the information is filled in for in a way not visible to anyone.
Don't take my word for it, go to their website check it out. This hands down my favorite app of all time I use it many times a day. And they're great people to work with, great support, very responsive.
Mac users are very lucky, windows users don't have access to this easy to use resource.

Great with desktop version  rating of 1Password
By: DaMunkey - 10-Oct-2009
Version: 2.2.1
I love the mac desktop version of this app. Makes life so much easier and secure. And because this apps syncs so well with the mac version, all my passwords and secure notes are automatically on my iPhone without me having to manually input them. It seems like the developer put a lot if effort into ensuring there are no security flaws and seems to update as soon as one is found out. Haven't used any of the other password apps, but probably never will because this one seems to get the job done in a secure and user friendly way.

Can't use this app since the upgrade  rating of 1Password
By: darkpaw - 26-Nov-2009
Version: 2.2.1
Enter Unlock Code: Check
Enter Master Password: Check
Click Go: Check
Use app: FAIL.
I can't get past entering the master password. And yes, it's definitely correct. It's a good job I got this for free, as had I paid for it, I'd be banging down the doors of Agile and demanding my money back.
Oh, I know this will likely be fixed in the next version, but this a review of THIS version.

Paired with desktop version, it's life-changing  rating of 1Password
By: CT John - Nov 29, 2008
Version: 1.3.2
Life-changing in a boring functional way, at least. Its tough to get excited about a product like this, but everyone should be using it. My passwords are no longer easy to guess, and i don't have any more trouble remembering if my login was Name23324 or Name 23234. The iPhone app provides a secure way to bring those passwords with you, so you can easily use your 15 digit random passwords.
The secure note feature is great too, especially to keep holiday gift lists a secret.

Outstanding  rating of 1Password
By: Huntsclan - 28-Dec-2008
Version: 1.4
This app is a must download for anyone. The app itself outshines it's rival competition with beautiful interfaces, great security, in-built web browser, alphabetised listings and rotational view. I have tried other apps like this, but none have reached these standards. The quality and security is, by far, the best around. I know now that I won't forget my passwords again and no-one else will discover them! Bravo to the team behind this amazing product! It is a job well done. You all deserve a round of applause!

What a great app!  rating of 1Password
By: AKiteFlier - Nov 28, 2008
Version: 1.3.2
I had a Palm for many years and used another password app on my Palm to track the hundreds of logins. I was VERY hesitant to switch just because I knew the other desktop and Palm app SO well and it worked so well. I finally decided to give 1Password a try (a couple of months ago when I needed something for my iphone and the other app wasn't available for the iphone at that time) I would never go back to the other app now, even though it is now available for the iPhone. This works so well and is just what I need. I love the secure notes feature - it's easy to sync notes here even tho I can't sync general notes on the iphone notes app itself - this gives me a great place to store things like Christmas ideas without prying eyes seeing it but also wonderful for tracking so much other data. I am never at a loss for password or secure information now. Synching with my phone is a breeze and I have not had one buggy issue with it at all. Thank you for a great tool!

Great password storage complement to the full version  rating of 1Password
By: Sevallis - Nov 27, 2008
Version: 1.3.2
I use the full version of 1Password and have really enjoyed this mobile version on my iPhone. I'm not sure why it's not rated higher, I think it might be because people don't understand that from within Safari, you can be on the page you have the password stored for and go to your bookmarks and touch the 1Password bookmark. It runs a little script that has you enter your master password (hence 1 Password) and then enters your info into the fields. People, take a look at what this thing really does cause it's really handy and the developer is right on target with the features and is very friendly. No I am not paid to write reviews on the app store, I bought 1Password in the second to last MacHeist bundle and have loved it ever since. This phone app is excellent!
