First, I have to admit that the app did save money on items I wanted to buy...but the snipe has only found a couple. The great benefit of this app, however, is in the time saving features it offers. I used to go to the App store searching for new free apps everyday. Now, I just load up AppSniper and browse the new apps conveniently highlited in the list in orange. Additionally, there is the sale section which you can filter to existing apps on sale for free. I've downloaded many apps I otherwise would have never found. Some of my favourite apps on my phone have been from AppSniper's sale list.

Ok look. If ur thinking about buying this app, I say go for it. Apparently it's not working for some as u can tell by the ignorant cursing and taunts. I downloaded this app for $0.99 and it has worked perfectly. No crashes and completly reliable. Think of it like this. If you have found one app on that application that intrest u and it's just dropped it's price from .99 cents to free. Then this app just paid for itself. This app has paid well over it. To the team who made it: keep up the great work I'm sure u can fix the problems others are havingTo the people hell bent on maken this app look like a sham: I got 5 apps today for free from there weekend special. One in paticular I've been wanting which adds filters to ur photos.

Brilliant App. An App to track Apps. Great idea and a must have. Could hardly tear myself away from it last night to go to sleep. Was trying to figure out how I would ever be able to find new apps and ran across this. If you have been feeling like you are missing out on a way to check for new apps, this is a good place to start. Get it. You won't regret it!! Now, if we can only get a better way to organize our downloaded apps! I have run out of space!

This little bAby of an app is the BEST app out there if you are after bargain apps, it snipes when the price lowers to what you want to pay, and it works a treat!!! Really amazed how good this is, in a little under an hour I have set it up to let me know when 10 pricey apps come down in price, and it also shows you what ones are currently on sale and how much they are and were. I'm in the UK but as it thanksgiving over the pond soon there are tons of apps with like 80% off right now, and without this app I don't think I would have ever found them. 5 stars absolutely fantastic, thanks

I currently have 14 programs that I track every day to see if they've gone on sale in the App Store. This is time consuming. These are programs that I deem as luxuries and therefore would prefer to buy them on sale. I saw AppSniper and immediately paid the 99 cents. If even one of my programs comes down a dollar, I've gotten my money back. I've even picked up a few new releases that were free. Nice time saving application!

Update makes it the best yet

This app was already one of my favourites, but the latest update makes it even better. Clearing the icon cache before syncing really does reduce long backup times -- to the effect of one hour or more, for me! It could be the placebo effect, but I highly doubt it. The update also addresses crashes and syncing issues.
I got this app while it was free, but even if I hadn't, it would have paid itself off almost immediately. I have set aside so many apps only to find them on sale through AppSniper; it's amazing. I only wish I'd found it at the very beginning, since several apps I paid full price for have come on sale several times since then.

This is a great application and I use it at least once a day. I have saved quite a bit of money on apps already. I find that I have to browse back and forth between the App Store and AppSniper though and there are a few things I wish this app could do.
* Show application screen shots with text details
* Remember where I was when I left AppSniper
* Ability to view app details when in the Snipes list
* Ability to open a Sniped app in the App Store even if it has not reached the desired price.
* Ability to see similar apps to the one currently in view.
* Ability to search for an application or browse by category
If AppSniper could do all these things I would never need to go to the App Store again. But even if it never does this has been one of my best purchases for my iPhone yet.

Love this app, use it as often as the mail application! I check it every few hours! I love how you can see every new app that comes out! Definitely the best app out there, especially with the snipes! If you love apps, or if you like going through a lot of apps, get this now! You won't regret it! To others: who cares what the icon looks like? Also, backups take a long time, and apps are like 57mb! It's not causing your problem. Suggested changes: app reviews, update notifications and lastly and most important, let us select sellers as "favorites" so we know when any of their apps come out, or go on sale.

I love this app. I'm totally addicted to apps. I only wish that I found it before I spent over $70 at the app store. Now I only get free apps when they quickly become discounted. Yes it occasionly crashes-- it's not such a big deal. One improvement would be to remember my last used page when I return to it after a download. It sometimes takes a while to load from the server. I think there should be a manual refresh button which would allow me to update the info. If I'm downloading a bunch of apps it can be annoying to wait for the reload. It's one of those apps that's on my home page. This app will save you money!!

Ignore the flaws and get it.

Even with all the flaws mentioned here this is still a 5 star app and by far the best $1 you'll spend on any app on the store. Being an app junkie I've spent more money on apps than justifiable. Without appsniper that amount would be twice as much. It's truly the ONLY app out of the hundreds I own that has (and really CAN) pay for itself. I'm sorry to those who expect to find perfection for $.99 plus tax (escially in regards to software and technology) but if you like apps buy this one. Flaws will come and go with time and updates to both the app and the iPhone & touch. Any way you look at it though appsniper ultimately does it's job well and save you money.

as I already was spending time searching the poorly organized app store for sales, appsniper has simplified my habit. definitely worth the purchase price. appsniper will occassionally find apps that aren't even searchable in the store yet! the only other improvement I'd like to see (can't wait for the improvements in the next update!) is a way to set how often the app syncs with the server/a manual refresh. waiting for it to sync every time it's launched can get tedious if you're going back and forth from the app store numerous times in a few minute interval. keep up the great work!

If you are like me and your favorite button is the button that gives you more buttons (i.e. the app store) then you will love this app. It shows you all what's new and price changed, and you can go to your watch list (snipe list) and add your apps that you are watching. The ability to watch apps (like the watch feature in ebay) is a MAJOR missing piece of functionality in the itunes store that this totally fills a niche for. Brilliant. I would like the ability to re-order my snipe list when editing, which your currently can't do. (Lists based on when added)

I've downloaded probably close to a 100 apps since I bought my iPhone, but this is the first time that I felt compelled to write a review. Sorry it's a long one. I'm an admitted app store "junkie", and when I first heard about this app, I was hopeful that it would make up for some of the app store's shortcomings, and possibly save me a few bucks at the same time. Appsniper has fast become my most used app, and has easily paid for itself by the savings it's identified. For people like me who try to save a buck whenever possible, the snipe list not only lets me keep track of all of the apps that I'm interested in and what they cost, but also lets me know when they go on sale. In addition, there's a constantly updated list of recently reduced apps. I found a few bargains there as well. Another thing that Appsniper offers that the app store is missing is a true list of new apps. The list of recently released apps in Appsniper does not get littered with recently "updated" apps.. And a cool feature is a graph accessible for each app that tracks price changes and timing of app updates over a 90 day timeline. The only thing I'd like to see added is access to user reviews. It tells you how many stars each app has earned, but I have to go to the app store to read the reviews. I can't say enough about this app. I highly recommend it!

Better than the app store.. pays for itself instantly. I use religiously. update-- never had an issue until I jailbroke my phone again.. now I have issues with my email, my camera roll, and this app crashing. this app has given me HUNDREDS of dollars worth of apps free or next to it.. right now working just fine on my wifes' iPhone not on mine. still been my number I e, use every day sometimes twice app.

Definitely a five star app.

Paid for itself the first time I used it. Has saved me a bunch more since then. But beside the savings it has introduced me to many fun and useful apps that I otherwise probably would have missed out on. And all at a discounted rate or free. Able to get many apps that I would not have paid the full price for. I check this app several times a day for the deals. Don't hesitate to buy this one. If you like apps this one is for you.

This app really takes the guesswork out of finding what's on sale, by how much ,and what have been the price trends of apps. Additionally the ability to track apps you want and be notified when one goes on sale is remarkably useful. I use it to effectively set up my wish list/get it later list, something I would have loved to have seen in the app store by default. Chances are you'll find at least one app you want on sale using app sniper, and the savings from that sale will already cover this purchase.

Incredible - their program updates continuously throughout the day on price drops and new app releases. I never have to buy a program for more than I think it's worth anymore fearing I'd never find it again later. A great tool for unearthing free programs and discovering new things you can do with your iPhone/iPod Touch. Developers responded within 24hrs. on issues I reported (like search) and all the search issues folks were talking about earlier (lockup/no keyboard) are now fixed with the recent release (Dec 2008). 5 STARS.

I'm returning to AppSniper and gladly at that!

It was my first app sniping application. After a while, I tried others, liked PandoraBox and was using it for some good time. I gave AppSniper another chance (after a long time) and decided that it's the best app sniper. The latest update made it complete and perfect for me. I recommend it to everyone.
PS: I hope everything is alright with the developer and that he sorts all his personal things out very soon. :-)

I have used this program everyday since its launch. The App is very polished and works as promised. It easily notifies you of a price drop without spending hours of searching through the app store every day. The developer is very responsive to emails and incourages feed back and suggestions.
I highy recommend this product; it has already paid for itself in one purchase and continues to save me hours of time and loads of money.

I use this app every day to check what's new and what's on sale. This app IS my app store. I also noticed the bugs with the latest release, but even though I got a low memory warning the app continued to function normally. I'm confident the developers will address the issue as promised. Trust me, this app will pay for itself in a matter of a few days when you see an app you wanted go on sale and you save a few bucks.
