This really is a great program! Now I can read my Bible where ever I go. It instantly boots up. It also automatically remembers exactly where I left off reading too.
The other day I was waiting in the doctor's office. I read my Bible until called. When called in to see the doctor I immediately turned off my iPhone. When I turned my iPhone back on, I clicked one icon and was brought back to the exact place I was last reading! What's more, my iPhone is so light, I now read my "Bible" in the bathroom every day (no disrespect intended). I have been telling all my friends that, this Bible alone is reason enough to buy an iPhone.
Oh yea, there are lots of font options too. Font sizes alone range from size 8 to size 39. Now I can read a Bible without my reading glasses :)

The Amplifed -- the pinacle of versions

This is the only version of the bible that is really needed. Translators of the original Greek and Hebrew found to many ‘hard sayings’ that they thought were inappropriate for their particular brand of ‘theology’. It was Frances Siewert (1881-1967) that God commissioned to grant the world a version of scripture that is really true to the alliterative richness of their original languages. While the NIV is more accurate than all other English versions, the Amplified is the apogee of translations, filled with ‘hard sayings’ that are rejected by modern day Christianity.

A great boon. I can't count the times I wish I'd had access to the AMP away from my home reference library. The only drawback: when I use it during service, the pastor thinks I'm playing with my iPhone.

Great Version, Better Layout

The Amplified version has always been an important tool in my Biblical reference toolbox. The layout of the version is better than the ESV, KJV & NKJV but all work very well. I would love to see the ability to merge all the versions into one app and the addition of the New American Standard Version, either 1977 or 1995 edition. my iPhone Bible library would then be complete.

Certainly a great app with all you would want from the text, except for the small font. I have also downloaded the NIV Bible and that font is cleaner, less cluttered and easier to read than the Amp Bible font. Hoping for an improvement to be made on the next upgrade.

This App use to work wonderful, up until i went with the 3.0 update for my pod, when i go to all my saved bookmarks it shuts down the program, i tried a few tips like rebooting my pod, still does the same thing it works great other then shutting down when i go to book,marks and notes, bible works great, no problem with that part, just when i try to save a book mark it hangs or when i try to view my bookmarks it just shuts down, 2 stars for that part 5 stars when it wsa working 100%
