*** CHRISTMAS SALE - 50% off for a limited time! *** iCollect Movies has teamed up with Occipital, the creators of the #1 app Red Laser, to create the ultimate movie viewers application. NOTE: It's highly recommended that you use this app with an iPhone 3GS because of the advanced camera and speed. Catalog every movie you own. Search right on your iPod/iPhone by actor, genre, format, and more to find the exact movie you want to watch at any time, without needing to sift through your physical collection or browse on a computer. Here is a quick rundown of what iCollect Movies can do: - Scan in your movies via UPC using the built-in camera. - If you don't have a camera (iPod), manually type in the UPC. - Spiders Google and our own servers for a cover and information about a title. - If no information is present, take your own picture and type in the details and add it to our server for others to use. - Want to see if new information about a movie has been added to our database? Hit the "Check for new info" button at any time to automatically update your collection. - Add it to your library. Sort by Blu-ray or DVD right from the main screen. - Tab badges allow you to quickly see how many movies you own. - Sift quickly through your catalog using the index. - Add a movie to a wishlist if you know you want to buy it in the future. - Email out your wishlists to family and friends for holidays and birthdays. - Already ordered a movie but don't have it yet? Add it as a preorder. Add the release date as well. - Incredible search capabilities. Browse through your library in a whole new way. Want to see all movies you have that star Steve Martin? Easy. Excellent app ... could use a bit of tweaking By: glowking - Dec 21, 2009 Version: 1.0 So this is the app that the good folks at Occipital had been hinting at for awhile. Well worth the wait! As with most Occipital-based bar code scanning apps, this one captures information even in blurry, unfocused conditions. As a test drive, I scanned the pile of movies just sitting on my desk. All 6 Harry Potter movies, a scattering of BD movies, The Holy Grail, Can't Buy Me Love, and X-Men: Wolverine. 16 movies, 15 scanned with no problems and pulled back cover art and relevant information. The only exception was X-Men: Wolverine. It couldn't find it after multiple scans. As a side note, this movie was a "non-return" from Blockbuster that I sort of inadvertently acquired when I didn't take it back. :) Not sure of the matte plastic is throwing off the scanner or not. Will test by taking cover art out of case. Some improvements I'd like to see added in future releases:1. Ability to search the internet for movies. Case in point: my BD copy of Star Trek does not have a bar code on the cover art. Searching for this to add it would greatly improve the usability of the app.2. A "rented" function. This would allow you to rent out your movies and keep a running tab on who has what. Having said that, I'm curious to see what v1.1 brings. Other than that, this app RULES. I can't wait for the book and CD versions from these guys.

What cool app! By: Aivilo - Dec 20, 2009 Version: 1.0 This app is awesome! I've scanned in all of my movies with no problems and all with cover art! Now I have a cataloge of all movies and I won't buy duplicates anymore cause they are all in my phone!!
Been using it all day. By: applehead68 - Dec 20, 2009 Version: 1.0 I have been using this all day. It's actually a really nice piece of software. Unlike a lot of junk on the App Store nowadays.
Top Notch By: spursrule - Dec 20, 2009 Version: 1.0 Had a slight problem with my touch. Ethan contacted me within minutes and continued with updates till the problem was solved. You cant have any better support than that. The app itself is very very slick. The additions are fast and so is the search. A really nice movie database app.
best on the app store so far... By: theghostlight! - Dec 19, 2009 Version: 1.0 good app, i want to scan in everything and i cant put it down. could use some minor improvements but pretty much covers the basics with everything. barcode support works flawlessly on my 3GS. developer needs a better support websites though.
Works great! By: inKeyWest - Dec 19, 2009 Version: 1.0 Scanned in nearly every movie I own and it had cover art for all of them. Works perfectly for me. I would like to see an option to sort movies without the word The in front of it, cause I have about 20 movies that start with The and its annoying find them under T. Other than that its great.
Simply awesome By: teamgeotrax - Dec 19, 2009 Version: 1.0 Barcode scanning + cover art = the best movie app ever. Thank you!!!
