Updated review dec 2009. They now stream high quality over 3G! Thank you!!!! I use all the time now at the gym!Old reviewGive me a break. In my 3G iPhone it sounds like some am station from the 60's. Great app with potential. Please aol stream cd quality over 3G!

I live in Birmingham and got this app to listen to local sports talk on WJOX-FM (leading channel here). I get it, go to the "locals" button and it pulled up the "nearest" radio stations; only problem with that is that those stations were in Atlanta! Why do I want to listen to crap in Atlanta when I'm in Birmingham? I deleted it soon after.

I have discovered radio stations in other cities in which I am able to pick up listening to my regular radio shows (Steve Harvey & Michael Basiden). I've also discovered stations in cities in which I have now become interested in other things to listen to such as black talk radio in Atlanta, conservative radio stations in Charlotte and Philly (to listen to those of that ilk) as well as Progressive talk radio in Seattle, WA. So I have a nice well rounded outlook on all aspects to listen to thru downloading of this app. I hope it also allows you to broaden your radio listening as well!

...it worked not just on WLAN but also through the 3G network. Right now it's completely unbearable as it buffers and subsequently freezes every 20 seconds or so. To be fair, perhaps this performance issue has to do with me trying to access the app from Europe. But really it shouldn't make a difference. Please AOL, fix this and you'll get five stars.

Decent app but sometimes you have to delete your favorites and re add them since they might not work. Overall good app and can't beat the price
