This is a simply amazing app. It took me a while to get it working, but once I did it worked perfectly. The interface is great and the lyrics and artist bios are a good feature. The only complaint I have is that when u leave the app and go to the homescreen, the movies stops as well. Hopefully there will be an update to fix that. This is the only app I have reviewed and is in my opinion the most useful app in the store thus far. Get it while it's free!

Unbelievable app. Nobody even comes close to this. Worth $50, even though it's free. For the haters, be patient and let it load your libraries like it says in the well-done instructions.

Took awhile to recognize all my songs, but once it did ...WOW. Only had it one day so far, but when it works, it is amazing and hopefully only get beyer with new updates. Thanks guys for the hard work and the great price!!!!!

Doesn't work

Followed the directions. Got up and running. It loaded my song only. Played half a song at a time. Half the lyrics or band info was there and wouldn't scroll. Videos wouldn't show up in the directory. This was on my home network. Good idea but doesn't work yet. Set up is a little confusing too. I'm glad it was free because I'm trashing it.

Great app if they work the kinks out... Playlists loaded for me the first time and now no where to be found. Maybe these guys are hoping Apple buys the code. There is more $ in that then $4 a download. Wonder what AT&T thinks about all this traffic over edge and 3G. They must kringe at apps like this and Pandora.

I was unable to get this application tow work at all. My Library is 207Gig (33,322 songs) in size. All it does is scan. I let it thrash my hard disk for 3 hours and it never finished. Tried just sharing "My Music" (of which iTunes music is not part of) and it never stopped scanning and there was only one music folder in there. Invite users just said "connecting" constantly and never connected. And I am connected directly to the internet with my firewall turned off. A friend has some limited success after hours of scanning and it only found 1/3 of his songs. Not to mention the forever growing SimplifyPeer.log.

This is by far one of the best apps I've seen so far. No complaints at all. One of the "must have" apps for the iPhone/iPod touch.

This is by far the coolest App in the AppStore. I was able to get it while it is (was) free. I installed the software on my Windows Laptop at home and I am now happily listening to all my music at Work. No more worrying about syncing and changing music on the phone. I haven't tried playing over EDGE but I don't really need for it to work over EDGE.

One must let the program run on the first time, especially if you have a large library. Let it count through your whole library - it took 7 - 10 minutes on my iMacG5 for 4000+ entries. Once it's database was complete, I had zero problems or questions enjoying my library on my touch.Apple didn't let us do this for some reason - even if they build it in the next firmware, I'm going to support Simplify. I like companies that listen to the customer : D

Sweet app, with issues

This app is what I was hoping the Apple remote app would add at some point. The ability to sit upstairs and listen to podcasts that are only on my tower downstairs is great. The big issues are #1 takes a LONG time for the Mac app to catalog your music. If you have several thousand songs, you'll think the app simply doesn't work when you first try to use it. Be patient and wait till you see a green bar next to your machine name in the mac app's window. #2 No way to scrub or FF-RW stuff on the iPod. I wanted to pick up on a podcast that I'd already listened half way through on my mac...there's NO way to do anything but start at the beginning (that I can see). I'm sure that can be fixed, but overall, this is now one of my favorite apps, right up there with AOL Radio.

I was thrilled to see that Simplify Media was adding an app to the store, but sad to see that I can't play podcasts or even playlists. I hope these features are added in the next update.

i've been using the desktop version to stream my music from home to work for several months. didn't want to jail-break so waited (a month) for this release. surprised they got streaming to work on top 3G. some buffering for first song, but seems to get smart over time. overall, i'm thrilled because i'm don't like sync-ing and i don't have enough space on my phone.
