Perfect, what every app should be
By: Kclapp - Oct 7, 2010
Of all the apps I've used and tried, this one sets the standard. One of the few apps I've actually paid for that I didn't regret it after the fact. Would purchase it again in a heartbeat.

Found this to be great fun on a clear night. Helps out when you look up and wonder "What light is that?"

I've been using GoSkyWatch for several years now on my iPod Touch (1st generation!) and have been impressed with the 3-D graphics, accuracy, and features. A really useful tool for those who enjoy watching the sky.
Great choice for 3G iPhone

This program has a few limits and in at least my case the compass is off by about 10 degrees, but hey! It's the whole universe in your hand and certainly accurate enough to orient you to your place in the universe. The 3G Iphone lack of compass causes problems in other apps I have tried, but this is a program worth buying

I've been thinking hard about which Astronomy app to go with, and reading up on all the reviews. GoSky does not disappoint. The interface is smooth and beautiful, with great classical representations of the constellations. Planets are easy to identify, although it would be nice to get detailed info and pictures by tapping on them.I notice some glitches and hang-ups when navigating the location and search menus. It doesn't seem to be too terrible, the program still functions perfectly fine for the most part. I think many of the negative reviews are completely unwarranted, and i'm sure these issues will be fixed in future updates.Still not too sure about how to use the accelerometer features, better documentation for that in the program itself would be appreciated. Right now, double taps seem to activate it, but it should be linked to an icon or menu item. I originally thought this feature would be a major selling point for choosing an app, but navigation with finger swipes works perfectly fine.A great groundwork to build on in terms of presentation, style, and functionality. I feel confident about my purchase, and hope to see future updates expand content and fix minor glitches.
It's pretty good

It's pretty cool but I don't really know if it's what I'm looking at that it shows a map of.

When i was much younger i spent far more for a computer program that did far less. This is an amazing app with few, if any, flaws. I haven't fully explored the last update, but so far it has only gotten better.
