Great app to control J River Media Center

J River Media Center (JRMC) has long been my favorite music management application on the PC. It is efficient, powerful and great for large music libraries. When the Iphone 'Remote' app came out, I was very impressed, and disappointed I could not use something similar for my beloved JRMC. In jumped Melloware, who has developed RiverMote. Now I can select playlists, see cover art, even control multiple zones. Melloware is listening closely to user feedback in the JRMC forum and very quick to respond, so support is great. Only downside is that the Apple Remote app looks a bit slicker. But if that's the price I have to pay to be able to use JRMC, I'm a happy camper.

Close but no cigar ..........describes this product.Plenty of potential but If like me you also run 'Sqeemote' for a Logitech Squeezebox, you will be sadly disappointed by the inability to search by Artist,Genre or any other criteria for that matter. With detailed access to the media library unavailable one is forced to clunk through playlists.I still use it but always with a sense of 'What might have been'.It may well be the architecture of J.River Media Center that causes this but a trick is definitely being missed by comparison with the slick and professional look and operation of the Logitech based 'Squeemote'. Please fix it guys then life will be complete.

I am very happy to have this app, it does the job perfectly well, easy to control, no need for a regular remote. Hope to have more functionality in future. I think Jriver should have had it by default.

Ios4 issues

Good app but has ios 4 connection issues since I've updated. Wait until they update but developer claiming he has no issues. Running version 1.6 No search function either. Other than that a good app.

Brilliant app. Easy to configure and use on the IPod Touch. Controlling 5 zones in J.River Media Centre flawlessly.

Great Remote

This is a great remote which works great when I'm around the house with my wireless headphones. It also works great with 2 zones. You can also rate your songs which is a really good feature if you constantly have thousands of song that need to be rated. As for now, you can't view your whole library or playlists though, only smartlists. Maybe you can make your library a smartlist if you want to browse it. Browsing my playlists is what I miss most, otherwise, works like a charm!

die Funktionen zum Browsen von Alben, Künstlern, usw.. fehlen völlig. Auswahl geht nur über Smartlists und Playlist. Es wäre einfach gewesen Remote von Apple in der Funktion nachzubauen. Sehr schade.Please Add Functions of Aplle Remote to choose Album, Artist, etc,.. Play/Smartlists are not enough!

The free jriver web remote is way better! Rivermote has no navigation and no access to artist, genre, recent or album folders. It's a joke to imply that this app is a remote control app for jriver.

Er ikke på højde med Apples Remote. Kan kun afspille musik ud fra allerede oprettet playliste. Udover det er prg ok. Bare lidt for dyrt. Max 12 kr.

Couplé avec le logiciel J.river média center, c'est que du bonheur...lancement des films (divx etc..) depuis son iPhone affichage des jaquettes, réglage son etc..il fera l'affaire des collectionneurs de divx qui ne peuvent pas passer pas iTunes pour lancer leurs films.

Complete rubbish,it kept on disconnecting,tried everything to get it to work to no avail,total waste of money,deleted it and got plugplayer which works perfectly.

Die Software wird ständig auf meinem Iphone geschlossen. Wird die Verbindung unterbrochen so friert JRMC auf dem PC ein und der PC muss neu gestartet werden.

Works well I'm very happy with itNotes- Check you have a later verison of J.River as it will not work with earlier verisons- Its a little pricey - It would be great if it had a list by "artist or by album" as some users by find flicking through big playlist a long processGreat

Save your money, this is at best a GUI on top of the web server features already natively found in j.river. I also found this program to have less flexibility than the web server features. The .exe required to run this is a resource hog and whored up my server. I run MC13 with 6 zones of audio with 2 elo touchscreens mounted in my walls off a coreduo with 4gb ram and networked drives. Heck even my WMC's run better than this. This runs flawless normally, but after an hour of this program it's virtually frozen. Also, you can't search your library in this ten dollar( ten dollars?cmon)program, but you can through the web server. I'll keep my text web page control. BTW, can I have 9.01$ back?

The presentation and the ide of This product is great, but if you want a Remote that work as well as Remote to iTunes you will end up very desapointed. Download the util from the download site to get it to work with Windows and you Can select from a play list and that is it. I can't understand Apple have approved this product. Waiste of money

A cracking little app that allows users of Media Centre to use your Iphone as a remote, it has great graphics and is very easy to use. The only reason it's not 5* is the fact that it doesn't have the option to select a track to add to the playing now or next list

Rivermote Remote control software for J River and iPod

Software was easy to download and setup. Got great support from Melloware and it definitely works as advertised. Shows the albulm graphics on the iPod touch.
