My husband and I love it. The only thing you need is a bench and dumbbells. Also it is nice to have different workouts and still hit all the body parts

Stung by two apps in one day. This one is as bad as the other. It promises tons of exercises and all of these features but after purchasing you find none are there. Wow talk about false promotion - don't make my mistake on this one. Another passssss.
movie not working - asking reimbursment
By: chantal et marco - 21-Dec-2008
i ask for this app to be reimbursed to me because a movie within the app don't load and nobody fixs this, seems nobody care or test the app at designer level so never again
Just not enough exercises
By: NDufour - 1-Jan-2009
Pros: Professional look, good images and videos. Great potential if more exercises were added.Cons: Not enough exercises. Not configurable, we can only choose between 9 workouts. Should be able to configure our own workouts from a list of 100 exercises(at least) categorized by muscle group.I would give this application five stars if there were more exercises(100+) and if we had the possibility to configure our own workouts

The best part of this app is u don't need any equipment except a pair of dumbells.. So great for those who want a total workout but would like to exercise at home..The rest is BEST like all ipump apps..

More than dumbells needed!!!
By: BigFan32 - 04-Feb-2009
It states that all it uses it dumbells and bodyweight.... I guess I missed the small print that must have read somthing like ' in addition u will need a weights bench for more than one excersise oh and if possible a treadmill for ur warm up' I'd love a refund, that way I could put the money wasted on this app towards my weight bench!!!!!!I havnt tried the actual excersises yet but it all looks very standard:Bench pressSit upsTricep dipsSquatsEtcCould proberbly find this info on the free guide u got with ur dumbells!!I just hope the log is ok, that way at least I can log my excersise.....allthough I could do that fir free on my notes section that was free with the iPhone!!

To previous reviewer: The description says there are 90 images, videos, and audio. Not 90 exercises. And the 3000 exercises library is for their iPump series, not for iPump Dumbbells. This app is good, just like the rest of their entire range of apps.
Exactly what I need

Great app - with videos, pictures and easy to understand instructions. Plus I can use this app while listening to my music which encourages me to work out even harder!Great value!

Its too bad competitors are giving these apps 1 star. They're afraid of something.I'll say it again, AWESOME! 90 exercises are there, videos and workouts. Go for it! They've got 18 Apps in iTunes and this is my 6th.
GREAT - exactly what I need.

This program is exactly what I needed for working out at home with my set of dumbbells. The workouts are great and pretty challenging even for someone who works out regularly. There are a ton of exercises that I wasnt too familiar with as well as some oldies but goodies. Good work guys keep it up!!

This is a great application for the iPhone. The workouts are challenging and designed to increase your overall fitness level while hitting all major muscle groups. This application can track the number of reps in each set and weight used in each set. After completing a workout you can log it and have a historical record of exactly what you did and when you did it (you can even email your log off of the phone). This is very helpful for remembering where you are in their workout regimen. With the help of this app I am getting stronger and losing weight in a very cost effective manner.
My Favorite iPump App!
By: Spectre996 - Jan 21, 2009
This is by far my favorite iPump app! It contains 3 different and progressive levels (each with three workouts) to help guide you in your home or gym. Pictures are excellent and the videos are helpful too. Load times over EDGE are about 90 sec for most videos. WiFi speed is much better! Overall very informative and helpful.

This is one that I really like and its true what they say it targets the major muscle groups. This is just one of the great apps that ipump has.
True True True

Perfect for those who only have dumbbells to work with. The video demos are great too.
This one did the trick

About 11 weeks ago I was looking for some kind of structure to follow with concern to a full body workout program. As luck would have I ran across your Dumbbell Workout for the iPhone and it has been great.I am currently 50 years old and lead an active lifestyle, but because of one reason or another I had not been working out on a regular schedule (something I have been able to do for most of my life) for quit a while and really was in the worst shape, for me, of my life. I just could not seem to workout for an extended period of time (more than 2 weeks or so). I went ahead and downloaded (purchased) your Dumbbell workout and that did the trick. It gave me the variety, motivation and Structure I needed at this point in my life.So Thank you and keep up the good work.

I have had this app a little over three weeks, and I love it. It is fantastic to be able to work out with only dumbbells, a bench, and a mat. There is enough variety to keep you interested, but set up in a way that you do repeat routines often enough to become efficient at them. The app is well thought out - obviously someone familiar with exercising and the usual accompanying issues - was involved in the design. I still give 5 stars... but there is a SLIGHT PROBLEM with the app since the recent iPhone 3.0 update (at least it worked fine for me until the update). In the past I could switch between vertical and horizontal display of exercises, and back again. Now, if I rotate from vertical to horizonal, it locks on horizontal and will not return to vertical unless you back out to the home screen. It's not a deal breaker by any means, but I switch between vertical and horizontal a lot and it is a bit frustrating now that it locks on horizontal. PLEASE address this minor issue and this app would be a 5+. Thank you.
P90X like App!

I own the Bowflex Selecttech 552 Dumbbells and this app along with the Dumbbells gives me a in home gym and trainer!! I love the ability to track my work out routine, email them and save them to MMF's master website. This is a must app for anyone wanting to get ripped but don't want to spend the money on a gym membership nor the cost of a personal trainer! LOVE IT!!!
Exactly what I was looking for

If you're looking for a dumbbell-focused workout, this app is absolutely perfect. I find a free-weight workout preferrable to one with machines for many reasons and this app helps to make my workouts so much more effective. Thank you iPump!
Dump the gym membership and personal trainer...

...and put your money into your own equipment instead. A good set of dumbbells and the iPump Dumbbells app is all you really need! I own several of the other iPump apps, but found some to be inadequate as they required cable/pulley equipment or racks and barbells - which I don't have. The iPump Dumbbells app gives me a complete workout using just my body and my set of dumbbells, in my own home. You can't beat the convenience or the cost. The tracking features are fantastic - now I don't have to resort to my old workout spreadsheet. Keep up the great work, iPump. Now, if iPump could just incorporate a daily nutrition plan that adjusts to my personal weight and goals (weight gain or weight loss), I would be in fitness heaven.
