Tylko tabelka By: Klapaucjusz - 29-May-2009 Version: 1.0 Niestety bez kalkulatora.
Harley By: Hotgrips - 18-May-2009 Version: 1.0 Very handy but surprised that actual Beaufort scale not displayed on page page as surely one hears the wind given as force xyz then one wants to see what this equates to. An easy fix? Hope so as think this is very good ref item.
Should be free for this poor UI. By: Nonsuch30 - 6-Jan-2009 Version: 1.0 The conversion pages (knots > mph) should be a calculator instead of a list!
Why no conversion with kilometres?
Needs a search function. Type in observation of sea etc. and have app find the Beaufort rating.
Just great By: MB924 - Oct 6, 2009 Version: 1.0 This is a good app in all but it needs updates!
Ganz ok By: Birkigtandy - 06.01.2009 Version: 1.0 Eigentlich was für Faule, die sich die Beaufort-Skala nicht selbst in die Notiz-Applikation schreiben wollen.
Was fehlt, ist eine km/h-Skala.

Don't spend 99c on this By: limey in the usa - Aug 8, 2009 Version: 1.0 There's virtually nothing here. Just one screen for each level of the Beaufort scale. Each screen has a few words telling you the Beaufort's wind speed equivalent, some of its visual cues (behavior of smoke, dust, twigs & branches), and its effect on wave height.
Lots of visual cues are missing. For example, nothing on the flapping behavior of flags - often the primary cue at a marina.
And it's presented really unattractively. Just typed in. No graphics. No "look" or layout.
To be helpful to me, a Beaufort device would take me from visual cue to wind speed, not just describe the speeds. For example: click on how flags are flying; click on how trees are moving.... here's your estimated Beafort and its equivalent in knots. Of course, this device doesn't do anything like that.
There's tons of free apps that people have put a lot of work into. Don't pay 99 cents for nothing. This is as close to nothing as it gets.
nearly very good By: garf1964 - 24-Apr-2009 Version: 1.0 Great useful app, especially if like me you can never remember your beaufort scales. I think this app would get a 5 star if it had a one page quick ref showing the beaufort scale and wind speed together. Wish you guys could fix this. Thanks
Suggestions for improving a good app By: otrain - Mar 9, 2009 Version: 1.0 First off I like the app. I have three suggestions that I think will improve the app. First off, I would like you to incorporate windsock observations into the land conditions. Windsocks are used at airports and industrial facilities, so this would be a nice reference. Next, it would be nice to add a wind chill factor calculator into the app. I know there are other apps that do this, but I like the idea of multi-function apps. Perhaps the calculator could provide results in °F and/or °C, with input from either mph and/or knots. Finally, I would like you to consider a background option of black on white for the reference info. Outdoors on a sunny day, the current version would be difficult to read. Please consider my suggestions: I like the app, but I want to make it better. M.Marcus
Handy By: Dancin' Eyes - 17-Jan-2009 Version: 1.0 Handy little reference including short descriptions of sea and land conditions for each force.
Converts Knots or MPH to Beauftort, but could do with quick and easy conversion the other way too. Something for an update perhaps?
Can I get my .99 back By: RKW16525 - Jan 22, 2009 Version: 1.0 Dont see any use
Just what I wanted By: bertram cagle - Jan 6, 2009 Version: 1.0 I have something to do with wind farms. I am interested with anything to do with wind. I knew about this scale and I am glad to have this on my i touch to take with me.
Great Reference! By: ColoradoPhil - Jan 4, 2009 Version: 1.0 This application is great. I really like the description of what the weather would look like, ie, white caps begin to form on waves etc. Very helpful to have aboard any boat!
Great idea! By: Joe Mcdonald - Jan 4, 2009 Version: 1.0 Thanks, this product fills a need for me. My iPhone is rapidly becoming my backup nav system to my Raymarine C80. Any information related to weather (in this case wind speed), is of help to me, as I navigate remote waters in British Columbia. The price is right.
