Reviews:
The hell is wrong with you people? By: CMAnnunziata - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.0 Why the hell are you giving this update poor scores because of something OUT OF THE DEVELOPER'S CONTROL?Wow, grow up.
No Free Memory By: iLEMONeD - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.1 and why do I have to choose a device when I have only one device?
don't waste your money!
Pointless By: Monk On Fire - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.0 Was great... Pointless without the free memory option though. I'm not updating.
Battery meter? Who cares. By: Superherosmith - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.1 I have a 3GS; I don't need a battery meter. I just bought this blasted app a few days ago to free memory, and now it doesn't do it? Pass. Deleted, as well as the iMac version.
Taking features away = not cool By: brianld - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.0 I realize it was probably at the demand of Apple, but c'mon.
put back free memory!! By: xan702 - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.1 the only reason this app was bought was for the free memory capability. now its useless since the update! refund!!!!
return By: echinata - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.1 Reinstate the free memory feature or reimburse my account for the purchase price! Come on Apple, pay attention.
amsgator By: amsgator - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.1 And the free memory option went where? There is no point to this app now. What a waste. Why did I update this. Blah. Worthless now. Download the free apps that do the same thing as this does now. Give me my $$$ back!!!
Downgrade By: Newsman787 - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.1 Went from useful to simply informational.
Why? Give us back free memory!! By: awefwaf - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.1 The main reason why I bought this app was to free the memory. Now it's a dead app to me...
Great App By: Unsatisified - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.1 Just Awesome
Was 5 stars before the upgrade By: Jim Carman - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.0 I wish there was a 'downgrade' option. Lost the 'free memory' button. Not worth keeping now.
Don't spend your $$ unless you just want a pretty display. I already had a battery guage, thanks.
Where's the 'refund' button??
Bull$hit By: Jeckell - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.1 You take away the single reason I bought this app. I want a refund. What am I going to do with another battery indicator? Do I really need this?
Restore old version of iStat to Restore Free Memory Feature. By: Ivan Berroa - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.1 You can revert to the old version by deleting the app from your iPhone/Touch then deleting it from your Applications folder inside of iTunes. Go to ~/Music/Mobile Applications and then open Time Machine (if you're using it, and a Mac). Go back in time until you see iStat 1.0.ipa. Click Restore on iStat 1.0.ipa. Drag this file into iTunes then resync your iPhone or iPod Touch. Make sure not to update to the new version of iStat. Cheers!!!
I'd like a refund By: JoeStrac - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.1 The free memory feature was the only reason I paid money for this. It should either be brought back or a refund should be given. This used to be a 5 star app...now it's a 1.
Worthless By: Jcark - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.0 Bought this app like everyone else--to free memory. Then they remove the feature. Now its a worthless app. DONT BUY IT!!!!!!!
Thanks Apple By: doach5 - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.1 Everyone write apple for their insane policies. Lets get back out functionality. This is what drives people to jailbreak their phones. I see no other option now. Way to go Apple.
If I could rate it zero!! (Apple's fault!) By: ICUSandman - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.1 Screw Apple and there app aproval policy. I just bought this as well as getting two other people to purchase this app within the past week because it worked so well at improving performace and preventing crashes. If the iPhone did a better job of memory management this would not be needed. Regardless, Apple needs to stop with there draconian approval process!!! I love my iPhone and it is my first Apple product and likely to be my last!
Very Dissapointed With New Version! By: RikD - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.0 This was one of my most used apps, now is basically of no use without the memory free-up piece. What I can't believe is that Apple at one point approved this app with memory free-up and now they take it away. There are two thoughts I have:
1. The app developer should file a lawsuit against Apple for destroying their business.
2. The developer broke the rules, and now is justifiably getting flamed on reviews.
In either case the people who bought this app have been ripped off.
Bring Back the "Free Memory" By: CtRL_Z - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.0 Thank god I didn't upgrade!!! This app is useless for me without it.
Junk. By: G4YM3RXD - Aug 27, 2009 Version: 1.1 Nothing but decoration now. Totally worthless.
