this is by far the best simulation game i have ever bought for the ipod touch but i think that when you crash the planes should explode because that is what the would do in real life. they dont just hit the ground and stay there

I've been flying different planes, playing with the flight settings on each. I was flying one fine for a while, then it goes unrealisticalky out of control. Also, I keep aiming to go down, but it keeps going up and won't stop, same for other jets, except they twist in all directions and the screen spazzes out. I know it's not the other flight controls. It was fine throughout the entire flight, but freaks out randomly. I've played with this more. The controls are not very good. No matter how hard you try I can't make it go down. It starts spinning around randomly with no throttle. You watch a jet wobble around on a almost blank landscape, except for a few colors and mountains, which is hardly any detail at all. It's a game where you feel mindless flying with no objective in an unrealistic jet that handles poorly. You fly by practically the same landforms, and have almost no thought with it. Lower the price to $5, and fix the description to describe more features other than describing the "awesome" jets added. The good part is that it has great frames, and the jet are pretty awesome, though. I just had to explain the frustration with my purchase, and I felt that a lower price might fit this app better, as it lacks a real objective other than landing or things like that. I am aware that it is a simulation, but it could use more.

This was my first 10 dollar app I bought. I thought about buying this for a long time and was nervous about the purchase. It turned out this was the best 10 dollars I have ever spent! The graphics are awesome, there is a great amount of space to fly in six different regions and six awesome planes. When I enter the app, I always think, how is it possible? For 10 dollars, this is an awesome app. you should definetly get this.

The frame rates are far higher than I expected, and the F22 is far more responsive than any other plane in X-plane. For $10, it's a steal.

This app freakin rocks. A good update would include weapons. Ps. Landing the SR-71 is really hard. Any tips for controling that beast of a plane?

This is a great game. I love it as well as all of the Xplane apps I own (which is all). It is very realistic (my uncle is an airline pilot so I should know), the graphics are great, and it is just down-right fun. The price is right because this app is using the maximum limit of space availible for apps so it can only have so many planes and locations. For those of you who can't land very well, put throttle down to about 10% and flaps down to 60%. When you touchdown the idel speed is usually 120 but no more than 150. To get down to landing speed quickly, use the speedbrake. Then, put your gear down and put the nose to between 5 and 10 on the green HUD. Keep it at that because you want your rear wheels to touch down first. When you are about 100 feet from the run way put the flaps, throttle, and speedbrake all the way down and apply the normal brakes. Hope this helps.

For flying the x15 I think u should have the option to take off with the b52 manually then swithcing to the x15

It is a Fun Game, but it would be a lot better with some weapons or some missions to do cause it gets a little boring just flying and landing. Also if the plane were to explode or brake apart when it crashes in the ground. But other than that, it is a pretty good game with them Nice Planes!

In my opponion this is one of the best x-planes games. The only thing they need to add now is a C-5 then THAT would make my year. There isn't much I don't like about this game. The only thing would probably be the graphics, but what can you expect from an app. Intact the graphics are great for something like this.

X-Plane is easily the best flight simulator on the market. And not only does it provide a serious view on aeronautics, but with the itouch/phone's controls, it's fun too!As with most people, I think the app could be a little cheaper, especially when they package it in many different forms, maybe $6 each would be better, but I'm still glad I bought X-P Extreme, it was worth the $10, I just wouldn't pay for another one for $10 (unless it was significantly different).But this simulation is very complete, customizable settings (wind speed, plane, plane weight, clouds, visibility, etc) along with time of day (4 different settings) and 6 different locations to play on. As well as a "Randomize" button that allows you to get right into things with random settings. Each plane is DRASTICALLY different interms of how it handles, just like real life.I only have a few problems, one is the different camera angles. As far as I can tell, the only way to legitimately play this game is through the first person view. The other views are terrible, they only show what's behind you or really far away. I would really like to see a 3rd person view from behind the plane (and the option to display the HUD when in the 3rd person back view). Another problem is night mode, I know that flying at night is hard in real life, but it's near impossible in this game, everything is black and it's very hard unless you went up to 20,000 feet There should be some lunar glow allowing at least SOME visibility. Landing on runways at night is neat, but trying to navigate through mountains is not. Perhaps a 'night vision' view?One other thing, a button to pop up and ask if you want to reset whenever you crash is much needed!Otherwise, I'd say this is a must-have for your device, provides a serious view on aircraft and being able to control a plane with such precision in your pocket with motion control is a lot of fun.

This app is great, along with every other Laminar Research game. I do have a tiny suggestion though and its that in the home screen instead of the name appearing as 'X-pla...xtreme' (or however it does appear) to just simply put 'Extreme' to make look "better". You should also do this with airliner and helicopter. But overall this game (and series) is EPIC!! p.s. Thanks for the new aircraft ;)

This app is amazing!!! First off, you can fly one of six planes, their are so many places to fly at (Alaska, Katmando, etc.), you can adjust the wind and the weight of your plane to however you want it, and, best of all, you can actually land the plane. The controls on this game are great!! They are easy to work with, and you can change views. In the app store their are many useless or stupid apps, but this isn't one of them! If the price is scaring you, I can tell you that this is a steal. Great graphics, and hours of game play. WAY TO GO Laminar Research!!! Keep doing what your doing, because it is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!

You should ad a plane from the C-130 famlie and be able too deploy counter meaurs like flars and stuff also you should ad contrails, exoust and be able to drop stuff out of the C-130's
