Shame really, the idea is good - a free audio book app - but the excercution is poor. The relibility of the app. can not be trusted - tends to freeze up towards the end of certain stories and books, very frustrating to say the least. The readers appear to be amatures - judging by the sound quality, and the rendition by some of them, is no more than a bad joke.You would be better off looking for a more reliable App.if you wish to enjoy a good listen, even pay out for one. Forget this poor excuse of a Audio Book Store - it's rubbish.

I hate it when apps that used to be free suddenly remove features and then make you have to pay to get them back in a new "Pro" version. Fail.

I loved this app. Used it almost every day. Now you cannot download books anymore but have to stream. This is a big disadvantage. Still i'd recommend this app but hope it will feature offline playing once more in the future.

Die App war in früheren Versionen ganz nett um kostenfreie Hörbücher aus dem Netz zu hören, leider wurde die Download Funktion gestrichen, so dass man nun zwingend online sein muss um dieses Programm zu nutzen. Für iPod Touch Nutzer ist die App unterwegs somit unbrauchbar. Alternativ gibt es jetzt eine kostenpflichtige "Download-Version", wer kein jedoch Geld ausgeben möchte, sollte mal bei Librivox.org vorbei schauen, dort gibt es die Audiobooks legal und kostenfrei als MP3-Download.

The reading sometimes skipped and the rewind and forward icons don't seem to do anything. Or would take it all the way back to the beginning of the reading.

Don't upgrade !!! The new version does not allow to download the audio book for offline listening. It only allows streaming. In my case, this rendered the application usseless and I was forced to uninstall itm which was a pitty because the original version 1.0 was excelent.

When I bought my iPod touch, one of the features I was looking for was the ability to listen to audiobooks. I would have given this app several stars, was it not for the update that does not allow offline playback.. it has made it useless for me.

This is an excellent tool. The readers are volunteers, so don't expect perfection, but the books are free and so is the app (which is cool and easy to use). Excellent for catching up on the classics I always meant to read but never had the time to.

It's a great app, but could there be an option to search for a persons voice?? I mean pride and prejudice 3 is told by a female karin savage ( something like that ) and I want to search more favorite classics read by her. I really like the way she read the book. If this option could be made, this app will get 5 *......... Thanks.
