Does what it says on the tin.For all the whiners saying this should be free & talking about using this as a crime fighting tool, so you can swoop down on the low down thief who stole your dignity & phone. This service only works when the phone is switched on, when someone steals your phone, they are more than likely going to switch it off. However, you can remotely wipe or lock the phone & is especially handy when you've lost it and it's on silent - as the display message and sound option bypasses the silent switch.

Wenn man einen MobileMe Account hat und die Ortung im iPad & iPhone aktiviert ist, geht die Ortung recht schnell. Ist das Gerät draußen, ist die Ortung sehr genau. Ist man in einem Gebäude, zeigt er einen größeren Radius um den Aufenthaltsort an.Die Benachrichtigung klappt super, mit Ton kann man so auch sein Gerät finden wenn man es verlegt hat... Ebenso so gut funktioniert das Sperren der Geräte. Nur das Fernlöschen habe ich noch nicht probiert :)Sehr gutes App, macht alles wie beschrieben und alles sehr einfach.

For people who put low ratings, understand the concept of the app before bashing it, because complaining that you will have to pay for MobileMe is stupid. If it makes you happy, it's selling for a discount now. For the other users who want to use this to track down spouses or family members. It's not a spying tool, but whatever keeps family bliss I guess.

でも、18日16時50分の時点でiPadでしかダウンロードできない。地図上にiPhone,iPadのアイコンが出るのはすばらしい！！運悪く無くしてしまっても簡単に探せるうえ、子供用にMobileMeアカウントを持っている人は、子供が(子供のiPhoneが)どこにあるかも探せて安心です。

not every 1 has mobileme so therfore there should be a version for non-members of mobileme but they should pay . I'm thinking of getting mobileme just for this app

Diese Rezensionen langweilen teilweise. Es steht klar in der Programmbeschreibung, das MobileMe benötigt wird. Neben absolutem Sync der Apple Systeme bietet MobileMe die Ortung, Webspace, IDisk, Push Mail mit Imap und vieles mehr. Das Ganze gibt's nicht umsonst, aber auch unter 79€. Wem diese Dienstleistungen kein Geld wert sind, der kann verzichten. Funktionieren tun sie jedoch perfekt -was dieses App. belegt. Einzige Kritik: wieso gibt es nicht ein MobileMe App, sondern für jede Anwendung ein extra App?

The application is ok, on iPhone I can see my iPad. I even can send messages to my iPad. However, I can't see my iPhone from iPad. It just not appear as a device there. Instead iPad finds itself and says "located This iPad". Well, I know the iPad is here because I keep holding it in my hands. I find it kind of useless when iPad finds itself instead of looking for another connected to Mobile me device, my iPhone. Strange that I can't find any menu options to fix it or to add iPhone to the list of devices. Doesn't look like Apple application. I am used to a user friendly and intuitive Apple software. Even if I am a newby and not familiar with Mobile me services and applications I am still should be able to get it working myself instead of Googling for answers and going through loads of tips. So far 3 stars from me. I wish the whole Mobile me thing worked for me just the way I expect every Apple product to work considering a premium price we pay. I expect it to be simple, understandable, fast and at the same time ahead of time and friendly. Is it to much to ask....???

...that I couldn't help myself from leaving a review. It reminds me of the idiots/children who leave negative reviews for an app because it is a "stupid game" when it isn't even a game. Yes, you need a MobileMe subscription in order to use this app, DUH! Yes, you need to pay for a subscription of MobileMe, DUH! Yes, you cannot use this app on the phone that is not in your possession, DUH! MobileMe provides many services; these services can not be provided to you for free. America, grow up. Go to school. Learn how to read. Improve your cognitive abilities. You are an embarrassment to people like me. This app does what it states it will do. Nothing more, nothing less. And, it is provided free, as it states, for those who have a MobileMe account.

This way, if a family member who can trust me with their MobileMe information loses their device, I can already have their account set up. I guess Apple may not want to add this feature because then anyone who steals a device with information already put in would be able to see where those other devices are.
