I downloaded this App just because I needed a new msn App/Client as I have given up on others (this review is unbiased as I have used Palringo, IM+, Bejive, Nimbuzz, etc). I will list the good features: - It's FREE! - Mainly, Push Notifications for up to 30 minutes after App is closed. - Great and user-friendly interface - Very informative FAQ and is also an evaluation form to inform about uses and suggestions - Ability to change status names and personal messages - Ability to see peoples full names and personal messages - Ability to run multiple accounts at once - Ability to block individual contacts (No other Apps have) - Ability to send nudges (No other Apps have) - Ability to see when a contact is typing a message (No other Apps have) - Ability to search for contacts - Ability to add new contacts - Ability to hide offline contacts - Ability to turn off Auto-Correction, vibrations, sounds and Push Notifications - Offline messaging There are very few weak points, if any. If there was it doesn't matter as this Application is free but I have listed a few nevertheless; - More themes - Longer "Auto-Sign Out" timer, or customisable one - Appear offline setting - Use own display pictures I will try to update my comment as new updates come out. this is a gd app for instant messaging nd it only crashed 2x for me but I think it's only because I tried sending too much at once I kept copy nd pasting for lyk a min nd there wer loads even da copy button froze. after a few seconds it finally copied then I pasted it waited for a few more seconds nd sent it. it crashed a couple of seconds after then wen I went back on it crashed then I tried again but somehow it stayed steady after dat. surprised dat this isn't five stars since it's amazing for IM! although I think it should add skype or send picture messages. but other dan dat it's so impressed

Ok this is a must-get app. Why? 1. It's FREE 2. U can add all of your contacts from any messenger ( facebook, man, yahoo, Gtalk, etc...) 3. You can chat with multiple contacts at the same time without any disruptions. 4. Like other messengers there are smilies and a buzz button( or just shake ur iPhone/iPod touch for that). 5. it finctions exactly the same as your live messeneger does on your computer. *Considering these factors u can easily tell that this app is really handy and usefull. The only things that I would be concerned of would be a few improvements: 1. Add more smilies and move the buzz button away from the keyboard so ppl wouldn't hit it accidentally. 2. Provide a landscape mode for the keyboard. 3. Please show offline contacts from facebook too. 4. There should be the ability to send pics to the contact **Ok after reading this review u should be able to decide wether to get this or not.**

The new update brought a lot to it. They have GREAT customer service sending us emails about bugs and how to fix them. Like the one about the crash on start up bug. Be sure to fill in the servey so they can improve this app like google does with there products! Update: now that I think of it, the status needs an update. I would like to have different statuses for different accounts but this only changes the ebuddy one. Also, the status(this time the availability icon status) doesn't work! Every time I set to busy/unavailable, it'll switch back to available.

Finally I don't have to go on safari and wait for ebuddy to refresh itself all the time. This app is wicked and the best part is that it's lightning fast and easy to move through chats. Although a recomemdation would be landscape mode typing. Also being able to send pictures via IM from your phone. Thanks eBuddy, best app on my phone and I only got it the day before. Woohoo! Review for 3.1.1 Downloaded on 21st but invite ppl and the new stuff is all gone. Make another update with the sort by group fix and the invite ppl to chat etc in one. Thanks

It needs to stay logged in for longer or have an option where the user can say how long to stay logged in for. That way you could get it to logout just before you goto bed or start work :-) It also needs a louder alert tone for push notifications I can hardley here it most of the time. I would be nice to be able to turn off the push alert that says you have been logged out of eBuddy. Nice app well done.

I have had this app for months on my iTouch (1st gen) and have had no complaints, I recently got an iPhone 3gs and this was one of the first apps that had to be installed on it. If anything it's even better now. I have had no problems with it crashing or anything. The only thing that would make it even better would be landscape mode and being able to stay logged in until I choose to log out. Brilliant app!!! Absolutely worth 5 stars especially as it's free!!!

If it was good before, then it's brilliant now!

Admittedly, things did suck in Ebuddy's last update. However, with the new Ebuddy update, it runs a lot smoother and most of (including the logging in ones especially) are now fixed. Well done, ebuddy.In my opinion, it doesn't really matter what state Ebuddy's in. We have to remember that Ebuddy provides a free service that other programs like Beejive or IM+ charge for. This isn't a "lite" app, it's the real thing - completely free. And after all, at the end of the day - if there is a problem, odds are we'll get another ebuddy update with glitch fixes within a week. All in all, five stars Ebuddy!

Honestly, I like BeeJive a lot better than any other messaging application. Unfortunately due to horrible technical difficulties, that don't have to do with the application!!, I had to delete it. Now I cannot afford BeeJive again. I have tried nearly every messaging app. AIM, IM+, Nimbuzz, and more. This is, BY FAR, the BEST free messaging app out there. Only a few things: I would like a longer stay-logged-in-time. 24 hours would be SO handy. Also, I would like a landscape keyboard, though you guys already say that that will be a future update. Other than that, PERFECT!!! 20/5 stars.

I use ebuddy through the web client, so was intrigued when I saw it available for my iPod Touch through App Store! I've tried both IM+ and Beehive on my work friends iPhone, and while the both offer a lot of options, this ebuddy client essentially does all the main stuff, even with push support!! It's only drawback is less supported services. I mainly use MSN, Facebook chat and AIM which all work superb along with the push support. Bear in mind you have to make ebuddy know in settings that you wish to remain logged in for Push to work, as by default it logs out immediately on shutdown. I set mine for 30 mins. In total a presentable, functional, full featured IM client which does everything the paid ones do, just with less services. 5* for me!!

This app is definitely worth downloading!!! It's a great app and is probably better than aim itself because this app runs very smooth and fast and is easy to use!! Also it logs u on to 5 accounts at once so u can multiple chat!!! Plus there's push notifications Although some cons are it only logs u on for 30 mins at most and there's no landscape keyboard but it still is great and deserves 5 stars idk why it only has 3 but overall definitely worth the download

Really nice easy to use instant messenger. However it would be better if you stayed logged on until you device is off and notify you is somone sent a message while the app was closed. Also more emoticons would be nice aswell as if you could send pictures from the Ipod directly. Landscape format would be helpfull. Msn Bots dont work on eBuddy but thats ok. I like how this app supports so many different messengers. It looks great too. Really nice app and thanks for making it free to enjoy. Reall looking forward to an update. Keep up the good work!

Facebook chat doesn't work u enter your DOB and it boots u out of the programe but the interface is clean and easy to use. I think the right updates could make this app brilliant !! Installed the latest update but facebook chat still crashes and the things I think are essential which are landscape mode, and not have to change your personal message and name every time !! Another thing that would be good is the option to choose your status before you sign in so you can appear offline without people seeing u sign in first this is definitely needed !! More things needed but getting there and could eventually be brilliant !! This was my review but I installed the latest update and it keeps crashing now doesn't work and just freezes now !! Fix this or will be just another IM app I've deleted !

I was gonna by Palringo premium, but after trying eBuddy, I decided not to. I love this app. And I can't believe it's free! I would choose this over any other IM app if it cost $$$. But I'm so glad it doesn't. It's fast, easy, good lookin' and fun! with all this hoopla I'm generating comes a downside. That is, FILE SHARING. We need file sharing, Themes, and the ability to change our display pic. I know it's probably alot to ask being that eBuddy is free, but I'm tellin' you I'm willing to pay for those updates!!! Thank You eBuddy, you are awesome!

The app is nicely presented and ₩orks efficiently. Could do with interchangeable display pics and photo sending/receiving. I like having everthing in one app. Someone needs to go HUGE and make an app that incorporates ALL IM’s, Facebook and Myspace. Would be ultimate, and save a bit of home screen space!¡! ‰ EDIT: THANKYOU FOR UPDATE, works perfectly. Anyone who doesn't know how to use it properly is retarded. Thanks team Note, please include all the simple emotes from msn, MAINLY THUMBS UP, I use that emote 24/7

I am using MSN and Facebook chat on ebuddy and both is all good.. (though sometimes ebuddy asks me for my D.O.B before i can continue and sign into FB chat??! no matter what i type in it says ERROR and signs me out of fb chat.. although if i restart a few times it resolves it so far...weird though)
Push is great, needs more time signed in PLEASE.. 30 mins is reaaaaally... not enough, we don't need 3 days, maybe give us a couple hours please haha
Also needs option to sign out all accounts immediately, and someone also mentioned bigger display pics, that would be nice..though on the other hand i think the discreetness now is not bad either
Also when i walk around with my iphone it sends like 5 buzzers,, that's kinda weird, was a cool idea u guys had for 'shake phone to send nudge' but a little impractical as it IS a phone and we do move with it more than not..

I like the update but the group feature doesn't work too well and the MySpace image is missing from the help page (before login). I also think that it would be a good idea to have a 'remember me' option because I don't like my credentials automatically being saved as this allows anybody that uses this iPod Touch to access my eBuddy account. A landscape option would also be better as it would give a wider area for typing. My name is Maxwell Ayres and my eBuddy username is Novercaphobia if you want to get in touch. Thanks a lot for this great and useful application - I use it multiple times a day.

I really like this app. I used to use Palringo but eBuddy beats it hands down. Very easy to use. I did however find it was easier to set up online than directly through the app. The only improvement I would like to see is a longer "stay connected" option once the app closes. Currently it's only 30 minutes which is far too short. Once your time out was reached, it send you a push alert letting you know it's diconnected which I really like.

This is a magnificent application. I noticed that while I was takig the survey they gave us the option to choose which feature we would want to be added to the software. It's a real tragedy that we only get to choose ONE ON THE LIST. NOBODY should have to choose between applying their own profile pictures and photosharing and playing friendly games with their online friends. Hopefully you do indeed make the software more user-friendly and add more than just ONE new feature
