Just downloaded it, tested it, and all I can say is, "WOW!" This must be the updated version, as I didn't experience any of the problems in the other reviews. The app worked perfectly. I did a quick test at the office and invited 6 co-workers to lunch. Everyone responded, and we all had fun using the message feature on our event website, as we built a buzz around lunch. (haha) I think my boss would have been angry, but I invited her too. She even left a message, and responsed to the invite e-mail.
This little test got me really excited, as I have tried and use evite.com, socializer.com and enclude.com, and love them all. Now that I do everything on my iPhone, this is the perfect e-invite application! I am thinking of all the possibilites, and it looks like this app will be helping me plan everything from here on out!

you'll love this app. got this app when it first came out, but it was a bit buggy. just got the update and it's running beautifully. used it poker night, when i go out on the town to let people where I am, football games, and more. i got my friend hooked on it. thanks for working out the bugs.

Don't know what people who give this app bad comments r doing. Prolly just frumpy people to begin with. This app works great WITH EMAIL, which is what the instructions say. If they get approval from apple to do SMS then this would be definitely 5 stars! One thing though is there a way to select am/pm instead of coverting it to 24 hr display?

I think this is a useful application. One thing that might be useful would be able to put together an invite, and save it with some type of reminder to send it out at a future date. You know how sometimes things have a tendency to not be solid when you first think to send an invite...allow for draft invites. But hey for free very good.

11/04/08 EDIT: The groups now work! This is a really cool app.
Problems:
1. It needs to interact with the address book better. It should make use of the groups within address book. The app's address feature seems buggy—currently, some of the address book names are mixed up and some names that have several emails only show one.
2. I would also like the invite emails to show from a personal email address rather than the gooey email address—this has less chances of being considered spam.
3. Also, location and address still needs address book access.

2. Groups should be able to be created as a primary screen not a subset of the event.
3. When clicking on New Group the app should not crash—currently there is no way to create a group, because of the crashing.
I have restarted and relaunched—no deal.
