Fantastic application, love the way it notifiys you when your not actually in the application, although this app is expensive it's great and easy to use, I recommend you try the lite version before buying the £6.49 full version!!!! I was one of the lucky ones who got it for the lowest price ever!!!! If your looking out for another good multi-chat app, I recommend "NIMBUZZ" as it's just as easy to use and has the same ability to "push" as IM+ has :) and it's freee!!!!

This app has changed dramatically since I wrote my first review. This app is outstandingly brilliant. But it's the best application avaliable from the app store.Here are a few things I think they should add:1: You should be able to recieve voice messages.2: It should still stay connected when you press the home button to check ur emails quick or change ur music or to browse through the app store.3: Your personal message should be visible to you on your contacts page.4: Facebook should work, it used to work and now it doesn't. Any reason why? 5: Should be able to send emotins that move, send nudges and send winks. Then the app will be the best app ever!!Overall this is the best application avaliable to any customer. The price might be a lil high BUT ITS WORTH IT!! Or you could wait until they have a special sale and grab it at a low price. I bought it when it was at £1.20. Hope these ideas are taken into consideration and I hope to see these in up coming updates. Fingers crossedHappy browsing x x

This Review: 6-10-09 It works flawlessly! Last Review: 4-26-09 It has gotten better and I have had no problem what so ever. It is very worth it. However I got it for 2.99 on a sale. So I would wait for it to get a lot cheaper than it is now. But if you have the money for it it is very good!:) Last reveiw: 4-4-09 It takes soo long to connect now or it doesn't even connect. Please fix this. I rated this a five and now I'm only rating it a 2. There's no point of this app if it does not connect. Last review:  The latest update makes this app so much better. I like how you can take the automatic rotation off. When I laydown and is on my side I always used to have to hold it weird. This makes it 5 times better. Also it has the send button in the bottom right corner instead of the done button. The done button was not needed and the old send button was inconvienent and the new one is better. I have not had any. Issues with this app. I suggest you should get this app!

Some unnecessarily harsh reviews here I thought, so here is my view. I have just bought IM+ and Push bundled for a few quid. One if the limitations of the iPhone is that an app will only run while it is loaded on the phone. When you close an app, it no longer runs. This is a big limitation for messenger apps as they would usually sign you out and prevent you from being notified of any new messages. I'M+ utilises push email to get around this. The app keeps you signed into the messenger service when you close the app and then notifies you with a 'pushed' email direct to your phone as soon as a new message arrives. This means you never miss a message again and is a great work around of the iPhone platform limitaions. Push email accounts are free to set up from companies such as Mail2Web. This is a good app with great potential for even further updates. Don't dismiss this just based on other reviews, as you may find it offers all you need from a messenger app. Edit: Push email DOES work. Those that say otherwise have not set it up correctly! The proof is that I get them!! :)

Wow! This app is really great for those people who use MSN Messenger or any other kind of online conversation service. It's really great, very useful!
I just think you could make an update, and make like MSN Plus: to see your contact names in colours, because sometimes a contact puts a name full of colours and emoticons, that we can't read on the iPod screen.
Just an oppinion: if you did this, this app would be perfect!

3.2 Update: So far no random crashes to report! Seems that the bug fixes worked! Many thanks! This was the best IM app before push. Now it just got a whole lot better! I am very very impressed! I look forward to seeing the next update with even more features! Twitter is very good too! Many add a option to open more than 1 page on the browser would be a ace addition. Plus I'd like to be able to open my safari fav web pages within the in app browser! Many thanks I recommend you all buy this app!! 

I've tried other variants and after using the free version for a month or so decided to nab this while it was on sale. This is the most stable and visually pleasing social/chat app I've tried. I'm looking forward to future improvements, ie. Offline messages and avatars. Edit: Great update! Push works like a charm! Custom avatars and more colour options in the background options would be appreciated. Upped the review to 5 stars due to push. Edit: Bad update msn live connectivity issues and a very messy chat interface (bubble).

Everytime I get added to a milti conversation (confrence) ( more than 2 people ) each answer of the each of the participants opens in a new windows like they would be talking to you on their own !!! It's REALLY FRUSTRATING keeping track of conference conversations PLEASE FIX THIS!All my friends also encountered this while using i'm plus ... Eather fix this or I and some friends will have to switch to other msn clients that support conferance messaging!

Brilliant app! You can use the IM's as stated on the information page (where it tells you what and how the product works), such as msn, yahoo etc...It is very easy and accessible within seconds, you can create as many accounts you have and sign in just by clicking the 'on' button & sign out with the 'off' button.However, sometimes when you click on a contact, it can sometimes be the person you were talking to before. This shows it doesn't recognize the change of contact & needs fixing.Sometimes when you type a message, it won't send for a good 5 minutes. & then when you go to talk to the person you were previously talking to, you've sent 'hi' (what failed to send to the other contact for 5minutes) about 45 times & he/she gets very p'd off.I'd like to see these changes in the next update & then it may gain 5 stars!

I was a bit nervous about the recent bad reviews, but the reviews of beejive were worse. And IM+ seemed more feature-laden. I took the plunge, and it has been fantastic. NO crashes, and it pushes reliably. All good! Feature request: ICQ seems to have been taken over by malware pushers. I get automated connection requests every hour or so, and finally had to just switch it off. How about an option to block ALL requests? If someone wants to connect to me from ICQ they can CALL me first. ;)

Good IM app, however, these inclusions must me made: Ability to recieve pictures and/or sounds. Ability to change display name and picture. Ability to add a personal message. Ability (would be nice) to change skins/colour schemes. ****IMPORTANT**** Fix a bug, which results in me having to exit the app, then open it again, to see the messages I have recieved. If the bug, and at least two of the abilities mentioned above, are added, then I shall not hesitate to give this review 5 stars, and to recommend to my friends.

The update is awesome. Facebook chat works better than on the Facebook app. I am so glad AOL crapped up their app with ads right when this was on sale. Switching to IM+ was a great move. It is totally worth the price.
Now I just wish they would add Skype chat. It is the one remaining chat service I use that is not handled by this app so I still have to have 2 IM apps. I realize SHAPE makes another app for skype, but I don't want to get a separate app since I just want it for the chat. If they add Skype chat, this would be 5 stars all the way. 3.0: Awesome update. Now with twitter and skype this is a killer app. All I need now is skype group chats, and this will be absolutely perfect. 

This is one of the best apps on the app store. It's great, and except for a few faults, it's perfect. 1. You can't set your own status (says coming soon!) 2. No customization (bubble colors and bbackground) like in BeeJive 3. The (useless) feature of sending location crashes IM+ every time, even after a few restarts. BeeJiveIM is actually better than IM+ with it's many features and superior interface, but it's way too expensive. This is more than worth it, especially for $8 on sale. EDIT: new update came out. Made it LOADS better!!! Still amazing app!!!

I have been using this app for 2 months now. In a word, excellent. When closed, it behaves much like an SMS message service. When open, behaves like a roaming chat program. Simple interface, consolidated contacts list sourced from multiple sources. Only suggestion I can think of is adding Apple's Chat protocol as well. But I don't think it really matters (only one person I know uses Chat). This program is one of the best I have, and is great value.

I cannot believe how much people whine about £3. The app is fine. I find it very useful, it's a portable way of accessing my accounts. It is stable, it does what it's suppossed to do. What more do you want. Yes, it would be nice if it washed my car and did my tax returns, but oh well, you can't have everything. If you want the ability to chat with this simple straight forward app then you will be happy - It has no emoticons - which generally annoy the hell out of me anyway - and it won't run in the background - but it will deliver peoples messages to your email account if you log out.

What are people doing wrong!? 

I dont understand why so many people are ripping this app apart in their reviews!!  What are they doing wrong? I purchased  this tonight and have been using it for a rather long time  ( hours maybe) and I have experienced hardly any mishaps or bad connections!! The push works flawlessly!! The app is smooth, runs well and looks great!!  I was connected  with 4 different accounts at one time with not 1 problem  (including facebook)! The app did crash JUST ONCE!! only once!!  but lets face it all that will be sorted out once the next update it out!! I am one of the many happy customers!! Good purchase!!  © Gary

Great app, worth the money but you need to add some features: •group conversations •being able to 'buzz' people (make their screen shake) •push settings allowing you to find out when certain contacts or favourites sign in •setting your own display picture from your ipod photos •having bookmarks in the browser IF THESE FEATURES ARE ADDED IM+ WILL BE THE BEST INSTANT MESSAGING APP ON THE APPLE STORE!!!

I used IM+ on Blackberry for two years and had high expectations for it on iPhone. I am happy to see that I was right.
It has a simple yet functional interface which follows iPhone standards.
Quick startup and navigation - switching between open chat windows.
It keeps you logged in for several hours when in Push mode even when IM+ is switched off, and forwards all the messages as e-mail notifications.
Just the best IM client for iPhone

3 Ideas, otherwise AWESOME!!!

1. Enable group chatting, and not have to have 2 IM window things open.
2. Uploading a picture and setting it as a chatting background.
3. Change you nickname, or atlease for services that support that like MSN/Windows Live Messenger.
