Reviews:
Exactly what we want By: BL!Zz@rD - 31-Oct-2008 Version: 1.1 Try to make my hotmail work with Microsoft plus. Was fast but no folder. Then try easy Izymail. Work but very slow and problem with my folder also. So many problem. Then I read on a forums soemwhere that an applicaiton called mBox Mail exist. Cost is 10$. I check the 6 min video and buy it right away. Works perfectly. Work exactly like saw on the video. Simple, fast, beautiful icons. Missing moing email to another folder but I'm hoping they are going to solve that in a near future.
Almost Perfect By: SAJJY - 17-Sep-2009 Version: 2.1.1 The app does everything as it should so get downloading if you use hotmail,£5.99 is a small price to pay!
Improvements which I'm sure are coming:
1- push/fetch mail.
2- load more messages button needs to load more messages!
3- needs to support mail larger than 1mb rather than refer you to safari!
4- nicer icon maybe? to blend in more with standard icons!
5- remove the horizontal feature-it's annoying!!!
Otherwise spot on, these improvements would make it flawless however it still does what it needs to do really well!
Great going...
Fantastic app By: Tonyboy - 19-May-2009 Version: 2.0.1 Perfect - just what I required. Yes, the standard iPhone email client does receive Hotmail but it doesn't handle all your folders. Also mBox Mail fully synchronizes your email e.g. if you delete an email on the iPhone, it actually deletes the email from your actual Hotmail account and not just from your iPhone itself. It is fast and also reads most attachments. I also like the lock facility to prevent people looking at your email. Good price too. (and no, I don't work for Fluent Factory)
A Must Have By: SheriffCartman - 03-Jan-2009 Version: 1.2.1 This application is a must have for all hotmail users, it's just like the unbuilt iPhone mail application, it displays all folders and best of all it allows you to access your email in seconds, no constant logging in, u have no excuse to put off checking your emails and because you can also save messages as drafts you can start an email whenever you like and come back to it again later. I also like the fact you can read and write emails in landscape format and move to different folders, delete at the slide of a finger. I was dubious about buying this as I have a .co.uk hotmail address but it works fine. Only things I would like to see in a future update would be to set the email list view to sender and subject only without the message preview so I could see more on screen at a time. All round a great app, if u pay hundreds of pounds for an iPhone why would you think twice about another 6 quid for this kind of functionality. 5 stars.
THE BEST!!! By: kaiseih - May 10, 2009 Version: 2.0.1 I purchased the IPOD Touch so that I could have all the features of the IPHONE without ATT. I wanted Email attachments etc. I was very disappointed to learn that it does not interface with Hotmail. I spent a full day reading the message boards and decided to try mBox. It was on sale and I figured I had little to lose. All my prayers are answered. I can open everything. Sends receives attachments and allerts to new mail. Definately the best $4.99 I ever spent. If you have hotmail... you NEED This
Very very excellent By: Liamaria - Mar 9, 2009 Version: 1.2.2 This app is necessary for anyone who has hotmail. When I got my iPhone I refused to give up my hotmail account to then have to get gmail. But this app, while 10 bucks , is completely worth it. Obviously if it had a push function that would be the best. But I'm sure Microsoft won't allow them since why would anyone then pay that monthly(or yearly?) fee to have windows plus on their phone. So since that is not likely to happen. This app is perfection!!
It's getting slower & slower By: okdonk - Sep 16, 2009 Version: 2.1.1 I have been using this app since the first day i have my iphone. I think its the best app so far. Really help hotmail owners alot!!
One thing i wanted to say loud here. It's getting slower & slower. Specially after the latest update, i couldn't even access to my inbox as the "processing headers" take lot of time/ freezes. Some users left the same comments too!! So its better be updated and fix the errors!! Once again it's the best app ive ever purchased
Does what it says. Fabulous. By: Hypnotrance - 30-Dec-2008 Version: 1.2.1 At last - now I can access my Hotmail account on my iphone without getting so frustrated that I want to throw my phone out the window!
Until today I had been accessing my email via Safari (which wasn't too bad) but when someone at Microsoft decided to make changes to Windows Live Mail, it meant that I could no longer view the whole email on the screen as the website isn't as compatible with Safari as it could be. I also couldn't view attachments.
Thankfully I found this software today! Now I can read my emails. Yeah OK it takes a while to download all messages the first time (probably a hint that I need to delete some emails!) but after that it's been fine.
To the developers: Great job. Well done.
To Microsoft: Stop making pointless changes to your websites and then failing to check compatibility with other web browsers! Not everyone uses Internet Explorer!
Essential for MSN/Hotmail Accounts on iPhone By: zts-it - Feb 23, 2009 Version: 1.2.2 Yes, you can now set your Hotmail/MSN account to work with iPhone/iPod Touch via POP/SMTP for free. But, if you are a long term MSN/Hotmail user that has all kindsa important stuff carefully sorted in MSN/Hotmail folders then mBoxMail is the only way to go. In short, there is a free way and a better way of doing things with MSN, and mBoxMail is definitively a better way to sync and work with your MSN/Hotmail account. Otherwise, the app is nicely executed, supports landscape, and maybe with a few future improvements in the *new mail notification* department this could be a must have app for MSN/Hotmail users.

Very practical!! By: 101kps - 12-Sep-2009 Version: 2.1.0 I was thinking about buying a laptop not so long ago but ever since I downloaded this app, there's been no need! I am so chuffed that I can access my hotmail account when I'm away.
With mobile bills being so expensive, this is a brilliant app for keeping in touch with friends and family using wifi. £2.99 is a very reasonable price to pay to save you trying to access the hotmail website using safari!!
A must buy!!
Awesome app! By: Purelica - Feb 19, 2009 Version: 1.2.2 Like many people, I do have countless of other email accounts. However, I use Hotmail for very personal messaging & I do check it every 15 min or so. I don't mind using the web/Safari version, but I have a lot of different folders & my incoming messages are usually long, I can't access all using the web version. 'Nuff said! In addition, the support team at mbox, namely Andy & Heather, is super & they were very patient wih me & responsive.
Excellent for MSN users By: Enjoy the Bounty! - Feb 17, 2009 Version: 1.2.2 My MSN email has been my primary email address for the last 10 years. It hurt my feelings to think that my MSN email and my new iphone would not get along. Then I found this app! Oh happy day! This app is excellent! My only sadness -- there is no auto notification. It is my hope that this will be updated soon.
If you are on the fence because of the price -- don't be. If you check your email more than twice a day you need this app. It you are switching from a blackberry or other mobile device where you got your email you need this app. If you use your iphone and your MSN email for business it may be a tax write off. Commit to this app - you will love it.
Hotmail finally works like built in email ap By: dghudson - Feb 16, 2009 Version: 1.2.2 This works great! I've used it many times per day for 2 weeks. It never crashes and works very similar to the built in email that Hotmail should have worked with.
Pros: 1) bought for my iPod touch but also transfers to my wife's iPhone at no extra cost (ssshhhhh..this is a common perk I find with our 2 devices...2 for 1 price)
2) all my folders automatically transfered and sync both ways. Sent items show in mobile device and computer version of Hotmail, etc.
3) fast sync when checking for new email
Cons: 1) a little pricey
2) email does not push to this ap so you have to open it to see if there's new email...not that big a deal since it's fast
3) 1 mb limit per email otherwise it provides link to web version of Hotmail to access larger emails
4) no Multi user for multiple Hotmail accounts
Overall great ap. Of the 50 or so various aps I've installed this one gets used daily and it works as you would expect. I only wish this came loaded from the beginning on my device.
Every Hotmail user I've referred to this ap also loves it.
Wow! By: Greggio - 31-Mar-2009 Version: 2.0 Had held off on buying this at full price, then saw it for £2.99.
The format is familiar having used the standard mail app, but it's significantly improved. Some colour, flasher icons, etc. More importantly, though - better functionality, including searching and more ability to tailor the set up.
And it works faultlessly. Very glad I bought it. At £2.99 it's worth every penny and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Finally a hotmail app for the iPhone. By: Malikx - Apr 25, 2009 Version: 2.0.1 Hotmail is the only email I ever really use, so I was kinda sad when I found out the iPhone was incompatible with it. All this thing needs is the ability to run in the background and push email, which will both be possible when Apple launches the 3.0 firmware this Summer. 5 stars for now, may lower it to 3 if they don't include the above updates post-3.0.
Now all I need is a Windows Live messenger for iPhone. Maybe this developer can make it happen.
A crucial app By: BrettWorth - 31-Mar-2009 Version: 2.0 An app that deserves 5 stars. Design and execution is polished throughout. Very neat, the menu bar at the bottom looks very 'mac leapord desktop' which adds to the polish, it would be great if the general iPhone os had the same bar. Every function you could need is here, and the range of features is second to none, everything works flawlessly too. At half price it's a steal, at full price it's a bargain.
Bye Bye Pop 3 By: Joecwild - Sep 5, 2009 Version: 2.1.0 For people with hotmail, who hate pop 3, and love a great app, get this. Simple interface, easy setup, no hassle. You'll be able to check email on your phone or iPod Touch instantly.
However, this app isn't completely perfect. Push notifications can be done by any developer now so it would be nice to add that in. THAT would make this the ultimate app + 5 star app. Still get it though if you still just want the things I listed above.
Awesome! By: SBUX Barista - Apr 25, 2009 Version: 2.0.1 I have been looking for a way to get my Hotmail and Live emails onto it iPod with out having to upgrade my Hotmail accounts or pay 5$ a month for a POP3 server forwader. Then this came out worth every penny! Sure it's a little slow, but over all it works great! My favortlite parts are the ability to type in landscape and Have all (468) contacts synced to it too! Good job guys, keep up the good work :)
