I now regularly use this application for inner-city traveling in Berlin. It's an absolutely smart application, giving me easy access to my favorite routes. If I would improve anything about it, it would be some method of narrowing to a specific mode of transport: one bus of the several that pick up at a certain busstop for example. But, hey, I ain't complaining -- this is a WONDERFUL application.

A must have for train travellers in Europe is even getting better!

What I did not realise is that it seems to work with trains all over Europe. I tried trains in Germany, Switzerland, Holland and Spain, and it always came up with the relevant times from each station. It is a perfect app which tells you the next train.
It is so good that you dream about more functionalities such as bookmarking your favourite stations, knowing the platform a train leaves from, or even clicking on a 'train/destination' and see the stations in between and the times.
But this is a perfect app
UPDATE: Bookmarking and platform info makes this incredibly useful app even better. I love it!

This blew me away when I first tried it. It was one of the first I loaded onto my iPod and even though I'm used to the internet, I'd just returned from Berlin and found that I could see all the trains arriving at and departing from the station outside my friend's house in Berlin! And whether they were on time and what platform - I didn't know that much information when I was there ...
Anyway, it allows you to set bookmarks for your favourites - even typing in Munich for a city converts it to München! See arrival and departure times, whether they're late and what platform the trains arrive. You can choose whether to display the combination you want of ICE Trains, Urban trains, Bus, tram, even boat and more and you can set the time of day in which you're interested. Whew. And all this for free - this is part of what makes the iPod so amazing.

As a Brit and not a very good German speaker in Germany, travel information is never easy to find. I downloaded and installed this application and within 20 seconds I had a list of the next busses leaving from outside my house in the village to the neighbouring city... wow!
I originally thought it would only have the major train routes available but it really has ALL public transport connections, as far as I can see.
Simply give it a departure place, it will parse it and show you all destinations from that location as well as the arrival time! Super!
UPDATE: And just when you thought this application could not get any better, it gets updated. Now you can save your searches, so all your favourite bus, train and tram stops get stored etc. Fantastic. I did a search for my home town in the UK and found that not only does this application have access to German train times but it also includes European ones too!!! A+

Absolut perfekte Einbindung in iPhone Anwendungen. Einfach zu benutzen und durch die GPS Schnittstelle sogar für Ortsfremde der ideale Reisebegleiter.

In Berlin mit der bvg unterwegs - dad hier ist mit abstand die meist genutzte app . Super schnell perfekt integriert. Ich bin begeistert!

Fast, accurate and gets the job done. Interface is confusing for such a simple app and needs some work. I would suggest having an appstore/utube-like GUI with a set of icons in the bottom that gives direct access to various functionalities; search, bookmarks etc.

Eines der nützlichsten Apps im Appstore. Die Daten funktionieren sowohl für (U)+Bahn als auch für Busse. Die Daten sind sehr genau und sogar verspätungen werden angezeigt. So konnte ich direkt im Bus entscheiden ob ich im Bus bleibe oder Umsteige um schneller da zu sein. Die Daten laden selbst über GPRS sehr schnell.

Perfect for finding train connections, S-Bahn and U-Bahn, and buses. Includes not only timetables, infos on delays etc but also a trip planer. This is my most frequently used app on the road.

There are many apps and websites but none does the job so elegant. Version 1.9 is the bomb...you get all the the train stations/metro/bus stops nearby and travel recommendations within two clicks.

This application not only works perfectly, it also shows updated information about platforms, delays etc.
I'm impressed, it knows every bloody busstation in Hamburg, Germany, the city I live in.
Keep those really useful apps coming...!
