Transit Sydney By: BenjiKoolies - 02-Sep-2009 Version: 1.4 Absolutely Great! I use it on my iPod Touch and i don't need Wifi! Location Services are great. TV is good for when you want to see what times and places it will arrive and depart at. Timetables i rarely use when i have TV. The underground map is great for when i want to see what line i need to go on and when i want to see places i'm going around. Warnings are great for when TV and Timetables are wrong. In Summary, if you go on the train and bus alot of times this app would be good for you.

RailCorp should be condemned By: Bennythesoundman - 10-Mar-2009 Version: 1.0 In reference to the Sydney Morning Herald article "CityRail puts brakes on iPhone timetable app" by Asher Moses (5/3/09 10:19am)If RailCorp want this app removed then they should provide an IMMEDIATE replacement for it, it's that simple. Indicating off-the-record that they're in the planning stages of developing their own is not acceptable. It doesn't take that long - this developer can testify to that. However we're not stupid, most people know any government department claiming something is in the "planning stages" means it is at least a year away. The simple fact is that this app & others like it are merely a digital replacement for CityRail's existing paper timetable (in their current form). Do CityRail's paper timetables provide customers with "...accurate, up-to-date timetable information" including "...details of service interruptions, special event services, trackwork & other changes". The answer: NO*** Quotes: CityRail spokeswomen"Third-party RailCorp timetable applications may contain inaccuracies & have the potential to mislead our customers". CityRail's indicator boards at most stations have the potential to mislead customers, & often do. They indicate 'due out' in 10 minutes, then 11 minutes, then 10, then 11 & so on - commuters in the city often experience this. The train inevitably doesn't show for 20 minutes. Or there's the times they indicate 'Hornsby, All Stops' then blast through Waverton & Wollstonecraft without stopping. RailCorp we all know this has nothing to do with concern for your customers. This is all about some bored bureaucrat at Lee Street pushing their weight around. Get a life. Spend less time pushing around the little people & more time getting your system to work properly & weeding out corruption. My tests have shown so far that this app works quite accurately with some fixes required including the weekend timetables, the 'Due Out' times not refreshing & trains that travel on two lines not appearing as such in the TV mode (ie Chatswood to Penrith, North Shore & Western Lines) - that trip at the moment ends at Strathfield. The app appears to have trouble creating a continuous trip on two lines.***Amendment: Thanks to the Herald & the Premier this app & others might just stick around.

Great travel app By: travelappappreciator - 13-Sep-2009 Version: 1.4 This app is brilliant, its as simple as that. I use it every day, have my to and from work routes as favourites, and I would pay for it. Anyone complaining should remember that it's free and works a treat, and is easy to use. Can imagine needing anything else. By far one of my favourite apps.
Can the buses be added? By: Aislingk - 08-Sep-2009 Version: 1.4 Excellent app

Good for Train Travellers By: yograj - 09-Aug-2009 Version: 1.4 If you frequently travel by train, and you know which line you need to go on, this app is what you need. Needs an update, the rail map is outdated probably by about 5 years, and made more user friendly.
