Had trouble downloading the ringtones - mostly my fault. E-mailed my concerns - on a Sunday afternoon expecting an automated response later in the week. Got an immediate response, again - this is Sunday - and customer service stayed with me until I figured it out. I was extremely pleased with the speed with which they got back to me and the guidance they gave. One can overlook minor problems when Customer Service is so willing to help resolve problems - even when the problem is the user not the provider. The ringtones are short on actual music, but Copywrite Laws explains most of that. Good App - lots of fun and cheap.

Don't understand what's so complicated about this app...

Unlike the last reviwer I don't have a Mac book but I have an HP and it was still really easy to sync, so I don't understand what all the complaints are all about, if you know how to sync your music then you can certainly do this. This is such a Great app, Ive had it for alittle over a month now and have encountered no problems whatsoever. I think all these bad reviews are just simple operator error.

Let me say, I was skeptical about this app given the reviews. I bought it anyway thinking, "I'll try it..it's only 2 bucks." I usually spend more than that a month on ringtones (I get tired of ringtones quickly). And I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. I heeded the warnings and understood that I would have to 'sync' the ringtones onto my phone. But the process is relatively quick and easy (at least for me, I have a mac and an iphone). In the end, what I am trying to say is this app is very much worth more than I paid for it! I have had the app for about 1 hour and have already downloaded 7 ringtones. Thanks!!!

When I downloaded this app last night, I was like how will this work...mmm... So I picked my first song to download and then entered my email address so the ringtone can be sent there. REMEMBER you must open your email from your computer! So I got my first ringtone and put it in iTunes and then synced my iPhone, so easy! Now I have over 20 ringtones on my iPhone!! Oh by the way the step by step instructions they give you are really helpful! Also if you have any questions shoot them an email an they are very quick to respond too!!! This applcation rocks and for the price you cannot beat it!!!!

But I have a question for all of u bumb people who bought the app for their iPod and now r complaining that the app was deceiving and there is no where that says it for the iPhone only: ok… ready??? WHY WOULD U BUY AN APP THATS TITLED " 1001 RINGTONES" FOR UR IPOD, HUH???????????????????????????????? : D : D : D : D : D : D : D : D The app is great! It delivers exacly what it promises. Buy it!! It's a great price too. : o)

I was doubtful that this app was going to come through as promised, but it did. The tones are better than most of the more expensive tone albums out there, and the installation process is simple. Simply save the tone in your email like the directions say, and play it with iTunes once you get it and your ringtones sync with your iPhone next time you hook it up. I use gmail and I had no problems at all receiving the ring tones.

Works exactly as advertised.

These ringtones are definitely worth it. The process is easy although multi-step due to the restrictions that Apple places on installing ringtones directly. Still, it's just a matter of retrieving your email while at your computer and double-clicking on the attached ringtone file. From there, it goes directly into iTunes and then you just sync your iPhone and voila.
So may ringtones to choose from that it's hard to decide which ones I want. So far, of the 5 I've installed, the sound quality has been excellent.

This is a great application.
The selection of ringtones is huge. The sound effects are some of the best I've ever heard. Great stuff and it blew me away.
There are only two small issues I have with the application: 1) I wish you install the ringtone directly on the iPhone. It seems that Apple doesn't let developers put the ringtone directly on the iPhone. Although the program does a great job of stepping you through the process is inefficient, I understand this isn't the developer's fault, but it seems like it could be much easier. 2) It would be nice to hear more of each ringtone.
Regardless, this is fantastic!

This is a great app and finally I can get ringtones on my iPhone. It clearly states that the ringtones get sent to your email. The process takes at most 2 minutes to complete, shorter than if you were downloading from Jamster. Also, it's 1.19 for 1001 ringtones, it costs about 50p from iTunes (not sure if UK can do that yet), and £3 from Jamster etc... You'd be a mug not to buy this. Be aware that these ringotnes lasts about 14 seconds, but as I said, it's £1.19...

I was VERY leary about purchasing this app as I have been burned by other so called ringtone apps, however, I relented and took a chance. I have got to tell you, this app is amazing and I only had to do 2, maybe 3, extra easy steps.
I downloaded the app, browsed through their huge list, chose the ringtone I wanted, entered my email address and then less then 5 minutes later, I had my ringtone in an email. I simply clicked on the ringtone file in the email, my computer then asked me what I wanted to do with it, I selected open in iTunes, then the ringtone played in iTunes and was added to my ringtones folder. Super easy! You guys rock the house!
I can't wait to tell my husband and my friends about this app.

Aight, I have over fifty applications and I only like to keep my favorites. I can't even begin to tell you how much I like 1001 Ringtones. It has definetly earned the spot on my front page of icons! I mean, come on...one dollar for a thousand ringtones?!?!?!? I challenge anyone to beat that! Oh yeah, it's that freaking cool! 
Looking forward to the new ringtones in this version!

This is an impressive tool. I'm done paying for ringtones individually. I have quickly found several dozen ringtones I like already.
I love that you you get to listen to the ringtones, click on the ones you want, have them emailed to you in a matter of seconds, and then you install it on your iPhone.
Clean and very simple and the instructions that come with the emails are very helpful. I recommened giving it a try.

the number of ringtones is simply awesome! $0.99 is a such a bargain for so many ringtones! normally i pay for each ringtone, but I've now downloaded over 15 ringtones and appreciate that i'm not charged after I buy the app!
some words of advice for the new user:
 i did not hear the ringtones when I first used the app. i had to adjust the volume while in the app.
 if you don't receive the ringtones immediately, check your spam folder. mine were there.
 be prepared to listen to a LOT of sweet ringtones. there are a ton of amazing sounds!
 you simply can't download your ringtone with your iphone safari. you have to use a computer and itunes to install.

I downloaded this app thinking that this was a cool concept. After I downloaded I could not send the ringtone I wanted to my email. So I just emailed the support email, I was thinking I am not gonna get any reply and also being a saturday I was not expecting any email, if any until monday. But to my surprise I got an email right back within seconds stating that they are working on the server and will be back up in 10 mins. So i waited for some time and then I tried again. This time I coundnt find the email that supposed to have my ringtone, I sent an email back to the JLC they responded right away saying that I should check my spam email. I checked spam and there it was. I uploaded it to my iphone and it works great. And there are ton of funny , cool and awesome ringtones in this app for all ages and all for a buck. I am impressed I am downloading more. Excellent support. Highly recommended!!!!

For all those having problems with this app

If you can't find the email (like me) check your spam or bulk mail depending on the service u use, instead of writing poor reviews. Also people complaining about this apps process of downloading. You should notice that u can't download anything straight to your phone unless it's through apple, so if you want to pay $1 per download instead of just simply plugging your phone into your computer and syncing then that's your choice.

yesterday i posted a review saying it does not work. well i was SUPER wrong.... this is the best app i have downloaded to date.
true, you can only download one at a time BUT the selection is amazing, sound quality is superb and the step by step instructions make it easy to follow.... if you are sending the file to a yahoo email address make sure to check your spam folder ((( oops )))

Bought my phone four days ago, and this app changes my phone! Great tones, many are good quality, and think about it.... 1000 ring tones!!!! Won't be getting to them for a while, but they are nice to switch out once they get old! The only negative... There is a process to get them in your phone. U pick em, email them to yourself, download them, import to i Tunes, a then to your phone. IT'S WORTH IT THOUGH!

I have been looking for an app to get different ringtones for a while now (well ever since I got my iPhone), even purchased music to make ringtones but just can not be done in Australia. This APP is a ripper, now i can change ringtones so that I know its my iPhone ringing, a BIG WELL DONE to the developer. Would like to have more tones for SMS alerts, not sure what could be done from a developers point of view. Well done, looking forward to the next update.
