Green Gas Saver
Last changed: Oct 15, 2009

The Green Gas Saver is a remarkable application that lets you monitor your fuel efficiency and warns you if you are driving too fast or turning too hard. Two on screen gauges display how a user accelerates and corners, as warning LEDS, and tones train a driver to eliminate bad habits.
This neat little application also keeps a running score so you can see how well you are driving in real time and over the course of a trip. Try to improve upon your score and save gas. After a few weeks of using Green Gas Saver, you will actually reteach yourself to drive efficiently, and you will see your fuel costs drop!
What is New in 1.1
-New Graphic & User Interface
-Added three settings for different vehicle size
-Added zero button for user calibration

good app but can you get rid of the tging on the top that says green driving. Make it full screen and fix the balls graphics because it looks poor. Other than that it is a good application.

What a great idea! I used it on a road trip and gained almost 2 mpg; easily worth a buck!

After the update, this app rocks: looks awesome abd it's much more useful. But, I think it's too sensitive.Anyway, great job!

It would be neat to see this type of tool built into the dashboard of all cars...it's a neat idea. Unfotunately, I couldn't seem to get it to work as described. It caught me 'jack-rabbiting' at red lights, but the ball only works in one plane; no cornering could be sensed. Don't quite get it.

Does nothing advertised. Simply an inclinometer. Audio doesn't work. Turning off the turn or "aceleration" doesn't keep them from affecting score. No actual calibration method in the app. Not an actual measure of aceleration. The list goes on.
Sounds like a toddler ...

... with a xylophone! Cute idea, but it 'bongs' incontinently at the slightest imperfection on the road surface (using cruise control on straight, flat road) and audibly feared for its life when I negotiated a roundabout at a blistering 23mph! Too reminiscent of a paranoid passenger to use - but nicely put together.
Confusing and distracting

I don't understand this app at all. The only feedback I get is a score in the middle of the screen that dosen't mean anything to me. It needs a lot of work before it can be useful, and I do believe it can be useful.
