Description:

This application is now only really relevant to first generation iPhone users or those who have not upgraded to 3.0.
Owners of the original iPhone should receive a text message from O2 when they have been sent an MMS. If you do not receive this message then send a free text to 1010 with the word "MMS".
When you receive an MMS on your iPhone, O2 text you with a PIN and the address of a website to use the PIN at. Now you can use that PIN with "MMS" to view all your messages.
From "MMS" you can send back replies or new photo messages with pictures taken on your iPhone's camera or your photo library. It doesn't matter what phones your friends use - if they support photo messaging you can send them messages.
Receiving MMS is free, but there is a charge per message to send an MMS. You can buy credit from within the application, using PayPal, for around 35p/msg.
If you have any questions or problems with the application please visit our forum at http://forum.iphonemms.net/

Best unofficial solution out there  rating of MMS Photo Messaging
By: Brekett - 29-Jan-2009

This is a fantastic app that has filled a hole left by Apple's bizarre boycott of MMS. It does exactly what you'd want an MMS app to do. Anybody who has rated this app low because it can't add the mms charge to your phone bill is a fool. How is somebody unaffiliated with O2 supposed to add charges to another person's account?! Yes, O2 should sort the situation out, but give THEM 1 star, not this guy who has developed the only practical solution possible at the moment.Full kudos to you!

Brilliant!  rating of MMS Photo Messaging

The developer is helping us to get around the silly limitations that Apple and O2 have put on the iPhone (and its tariff). Ignore the idiots who aren't giving this 5*.Full credit to the developer - this works blooming well. It's far easier and better than the awful interface that O2 provides for checking your MMS. O2 won't let you send an MMS through their system so he's added a function to the iPhone. For those who have questioned this - of course you have to receive an MMS before it will work - O2 don't create you an inbox until you receive one. And the code doesn't link to anything other than your MMS!Great work and I only hope it means O2 learn, pay the developer, take this app on and sort out MMS! Oh, and while you're at it make the O2 site iPhone friendly. That's just embarrassing!

Works perfectly  rating of MMS Photo Messaging

O2 gives a 4 character pin - not 6. I cannot bear the moaners, whiners and wingers who grumble, groan and make pathetic comments that the free app they dowloaded isn't tailor made for their specific desires. Too pathetic. It seems to happen a lot on the App Store reviews. I don't get it. This app works perfectly. If you never have the need for MMS for business or social, then fine, no problem, but some people do. Just occasionally, it is appropriate to send or receive a picture msg and this app is brilliant. Totally recommended. For those few occasions when a picture msg would be useful, this is perfect and so easy. So, you moaners and whiners, use it of don't. Your choice. Just shut up. You didn't pay for it... you lost nothing. Tossers!

Is there really no end to the stupidity of some people? Honestly, some of you are absolute retards. Firstly this app is perfect and exactly what's been missing from the iPhone. Anyone that thinks 35p is expensive to send an mms is a fool and no you don't have mms as part of your call plan as the iPhone cannot and never could send these. The exception may be those that have a jailbroken phone but who cares about you?!As for you idiots that are still awaiting your pin after downloading this app - you need to repackage your shiny iPhone and take it back to your local apple store. Once there explain to the assistant you are too stupid to own an iPhone and request a nokia 3310 instead - ensuring it has minimal features so your tiny mind doesn't get too confused again. So much for natural selection...

Fabulous!!!!!  rating of MMS Photo Messaging

Was using the web app from the same developer. This is even better. Easy to use and does exactly what it should. To anyone who is having trouble logging in try clearing cookies first. That seems to do the trick.Thought I would update this after using it for a good few weeks. Please don't leave a poor review for things that are NOT the fault of the developer. Can no one read anymore? If you are not getting your pin you need to contact O2 and have them deactivate MMS on your account. You will receive your pin the next time someone sends you an MMS message. 35p is exactly what Orange charged me to send an MMS so I don't know what some people are moaning about. If you still can't get the app to work e-mail the developer who will sort out any problems you have-I can vouch for this from personnal experience. For me the app works exactly as it should. Well done guys!!!!!!

Why are all you retards giving it one star and complaining you have to pay to send an MMS?! even when iPhone software version 3.0 is released you'll still have to pay to send MMS's. Your tarrif doesn't include free picture messaging! Fantastic app to fill the gap. You really have to question the intelligence of people who can't get it to work! How do they manage to dress themselves in the morning?!

A must for the iPhone  rating of MMS Photo Messaging
By: LordStress - 05-Mar-2009

Even if you only get one MMS it is worth installing this neat little App. I managed to download it, install and retrieve a MMS faster than using Safari and the PIN system. It is brilliant, and works as a great stop gap until Apple support MMS,
Two tips when setting up
1. You need to enter your phone number in the greyed out area, don’t mistake the example number in gray as an auto fill.
2. Your PIN code comes in on a text message when you receive a MMS. No PIN? Get someone to send you a MMS
Also as far as I am aware it only supports picture messaging at the moment, but hay it’s free!
Thanks Ed it's great!

My new phone software means I don't need this app any more, but I'd just like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Ed Lea for making picture messaging possible while Apple did not. Top Notch stuff.
To Ed Lea: I've been looking at your other interesting apps, and I'll keep an eye out for you in future!
To anybody reading this: Check out Ed Lea's other stuff by clicking the words 'Ed Lea' above the application icon at top left. In future, you could type 'ed lea' into the iTunes store search field to find out what he's been up to.

First of all - THANKYOU to the developer - this has really solved a problem for us old-school iPhone owners.
If you've ever had the text from your carrier to say that 'You've received a a picture message, go get it here' - your heart drops because you know you'll probably never get to see it, or who sent it to you. This app solves everything!
(By the way, if you're on O2 without a proper iPhone contract, text 'MMS' to 1010 and O2 will enable you to receive MMSs in their clunky way.)
Install this app and get a friend to send you an MMS and your carrier will send you a text with hyperlink + password to retrieve it via a browser. Instead, launch the app, enter your password just once and that's it - this is now set up as your MMS receiver. You can view MMS messages, save pics into your camera roll, and send your own MMSs in response.
Obviously, since Apple haven't enabled MMS on the old iPhones, you can't reply in the regular way and be billed by O2. Instead, you can buy MMS credits in chunks of 10 via the developer's PayPal page and then just use the app to send.
Voila - you're part of the 'cutting edge' world of MMS enabled phone users... ;)

At last !!!!  rating of MMS Photo Messaging

Just gave this app a try. Works like any other MMS feature found an a phone. I managed to send a MMS message and it arrived in about 15 miniutes after sending it to my work phone. There is a small fee for sending your MMS message but its a small price to pay and its easy to top up your account, the credit arrived on my phone straight away. Its a shame Apple and O2 didnt get this sorted from the start as this is one of the many features missing from the Iphone. Top marks to the app makers "Ed Lee" shame on Apple and O2.

Brilliant app feels like what apple should have included from the start.Adding credit via paypal isn't ideal but until o2 pull their finger out and build something similar it's the best option. 37p an mms isn't too bad, more than I'd want to pay o2 but given the development etc it's reasonable.People saying you can email pictures are a bit wide of the mark, I like to be able to send pictures to people who can't retrieve email easily on their mobiles but can see an mms quickly and simply, for that this is THE app.The whole code thing was quick to do to, sent an mms from my orange mobile to my iPhone number, I got a txt from o2 with the code put that into the app and bang there was my picture, simple and quick.Get it if you like to send the odd mms.

Outstanding  rating of MMS Photo Messaging

I used the web version before but this is even better and cannot be faulted really. Those people complaining about that you have to pay for sending, please do not give negative feedback for this the developer has no control over this as it's not supported on the iPhone so has done his best in finding a MMS third party to use for this, and yes the developer has to pay the third party. Regarding all the issues about the PIN number to get one you need somebody to send you an MMS on the iPhone your then get a text from O2 with the PIN to use. If you do not get an SMS from O2 then phone them up and ask to check that MMS has been deprovisioned. It should have for all iPhone customers anyway but a couple might have slipped through O2 setup procedures. Great app keep up the good work.

This is a fantastic application, integrates perfectly with your iPhone so that finally we can send MMS messages. Yes, it's a shame this functionality wasn't built into the phone already, or that the messages can't be paid for out of our o2 allowances, but the developer has done an excellent job with this.
Even if you intend never sending an MMS (picture) message, this is still worth a download, as viewing received MMS messages is so much more straightforward than the standard iPhone/o2 way of logging in and viewing them on a website.

This app is amazing & solves my only iphone complaint in not being able to MMS. Easy, simple to use - just plain super! Ignore all the negative reviews moaning about how the cost should be incorporated into phone price plan....... that is NOT the fault of the application, or even 02 it is the fault of iphone & negative feedback should be directed towards apple not the makers of this app. If paying extra for MMS messages is that much of an issue for you don't buy an iphone you fools!

Been using the web app for a while and great to see it as a native app now. The guys who built this have done a great job and can't understand the people moaning about the price to send an mms. If they check out Ross's support page they'll realise he charges just enough per message to cover the cost to him to send them. Besides, they're making this App available for free and it doesnt cost a penny to recieve messages. Until Apple & O2 get their finger out there is no better solution than this one. Brilliant job guys!P.S. For the people who can't save pictures, just hold your finger down on the photo and it prompts you to save the picture. Duh!

Updating again as i am so sick of seeing bad rating. One person said fantastic app but gave only 3 stars cause of the cost. Cant people realise the guys who produced this app or not apple or O2 so if u are unhappy about cost tell the people who can make a difference and in the mean time while apple ans O2 see sense, thank these guys for an EXCELLENT app that should have been on phone as standard.Been using the web application for few months, not used this yet, but know it will be great. The support for this product has been brilliant. WELL DONE for getting it approved by Apple!!!!
UPDATED - now i've downloaded and using this app, WOW. How much easier, clearer and perfect is it. Shame we have to pay for the messages, but i hope that will change. O2 - LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. Done a fab job with this app guys.
