Reviews:
Great app, stupid users By: rilus - Aug 29, 2009 Version: 2.7 The app works perfectly as advertised. It is simple, east to use and now always on every night on my nightstand and my wife's.
It seems the main reason people keep downranking this app us because they're too stupid to realize that the options for the app are in their phone settings like hundreds of other apps.
For all those morons complaining about their battery being drained, your supposed to set the phone on its base to charge overnight and so that it's actually standing up.
Great Clock, needs some features By: Sir Tristan - May 6, 2009 Version: 2.5 I give it a five right now because it really is a beautifully designed app. It does what it's supposed to and even added an alarm function with some great sounds.
Now, it isn't perfect, and I have some suggestions.
1) More color choices such as yellow/gold, white, purple/pink, or even just a color slider would be nice.
2) Utilize the screen dimming API's to allow for less backlight pollution.
3) Multiple Alarms! I need multiple rapid alarms to wake up, and the snooze is too long! This way I can be forced to either endure five different annoying noises within five minutes, or just get up and start my day. I'd probably just get up.
4) More cool themes! Perhaps an Analog clockface? Maybe some Digital ones with different fonts?
5) How about a night calendar as well?Show a calendar with a downswipe motion, and match the theme!
Excellent By: smenzer - Nov 30, 2008 Version: 1.0 This app does exactly what it says it does -- display the time in large, easy to read font for viewing from across a room. Putting the phone in landscape mode makes the text bigger, too. The clock is bright enough to see clearly, but not so bright that it lights up your entire room. A few settings that customize the color and what displays (24 hr clock/seconds/day/etc). I would highly recommend this to anyone that uses their iPhone/iPod touch as their clock/alarm in their room. Now you don't have to rollover, pick up the phone, and hit a button to see the time...just turn your head and you'll know!
Great app! By: P0tat0 - Dec 24, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 Does just what it is supposed to do and looks great, too. Wonderful if you're traveling and don't have a nightstand clock. For those of you who are complaining about it draining battery, then leave it on the charger while you sleep! That's what I do every night anyway. Also, I've seen negative reviews because people can't figure out how to use the features. If you go to your settings on your iPod/iPhone, you can change the color, turn seconds on, and disable the auto screen lock. Try reading the description before assuming things, guys. Jeez. for those complaining about the 4:20 reference, grow up. It's simple fun, and maybe if you're so uptight about it then you coils use a little weed yourself...
Seriously guys By: J.Dano - Dec 24, 2008 Version: 2.5 You guys seriously have issues. First of all, it's free. Besides complaining that it doesn't run like a super clock, think about how it's a free app, it's simple and that it does what it's suppose to do. Here's some problems people are having:
Don't know how to change the settings.
-try going to stettings and then the apps at the bottom.
Wastes too much battery.
-put brightness all the way down and then just keep it on your charger. You can see it in the dark it doesn't have to be mega bright.
It's pointless.
-what are you talking about?! It's a simple clock to show you what time it is in the middle of the night for the people who need it. If you need an alarm clock, your iPod/iPhone already comes with one.
All the people who made this app did was try to make some people's lives easier. Plus it's free! It's different if you spent $7.99 for it. If you want a super clock that does everything you want it to do, then spend the time and effort to make your own app
Great nightstand clock... By: Dansco - 09-Dec-2008 Version: 1.0.2 Updated review after program update... The problem with the 24hr bug has been fixed and now this is my nightstand clock. I would quite happily pay for this but glad I got it for free! Still would be nice to have a few more colours or the ability to create our own (please) ;) Original review... Good looking clock for your nightstand or more likely dock. 3 colours and for some reason the 24hr part doesn't work. For free, great value ;)
Gotta put my two cents in...... By: The Depths of Hell - Dec 10, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 Well, much like most apps there are always people complaining! Before you download anything you should READ what the app is capable of performing! There were no broken promises here, just a clock is all anyone was promised! Not a promise of giving you a ride when you're wasted drunk, just a clock! And it was free, WTF!!!! how can you complain about free!!! Had to get it out, Thanx for taking the time to read this!!
¡The Depths of Hell!
Love it By: Cjrolon - Dec 3, 2008 Version: 1.0.1 This app works great...i mean it does what i says its just a clock and you can change the color, the format(24/12hs) hide the seconds, or day...
If they add an alarm would be good but im not sure if i will use it cause i already have the phone's alarm to wake me up in the morning and the snooze opt still works when running this app
Dudes to change the setting you just have to go to the settings and scroll to the botton.
Stop givin 1, 2, or 3 stars just because you're to dumb to read the instructions
WoW u guys a crazy By: OneMoreWin - Dec 10, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 Ok I don't know y ppl complain so much just because it's a clock
I mean seriously that's what u downloaded it for!!!
U never downloaded it so it can transport u across the universe so y even complain what were u expecting
This was intended to be a clock and that's final! So u can lay it on a desk
Or sumthing charging and it can have the time on
Or u can lay it across the room and at night u wake up and u can glance at it and it will tell u the time without u even having to get out of bed to press a button
And there are ppl who actually look for apps like this cause it can b actually usefull it's not intended to be looked at for hours whilst ur walking around a store
It is simply a digital clock and it served it's purpose and it looks nice too!!
NightLight! By: ExplosiveDeer - Dec 22, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 This Application is Great... For all the lame haters out there... If you spent [How ever long it took this guy to make this application] Im pretty sure you wouldent want (Jerk's) dissing your hard work... Get a life! Anyways you should really add some more features and Most Important! An ANOLOGUE
=D the Brightness of this supressed my toe stubbing days greatly. ANTI Stub Application's!
The Style of the clock reminds me of the show called 24. Beep! Beep! Beep!

Great app if not retarded By: Schools360 - Nov 30, 2008 Version: 1.0 Great app. And for those of you not quite capable of wraping your mind around it here you go. You turn off screen lock then put the phone next to your bed on the charger and it stays on all night showing you the time. It's funny that a pot head can figure this out. 420 on the clock makes it that much better. For those of you who have given this app a low rating you need to per on your iPhone and go back to your 80's bag phone!!! Retardicons
I love this app! By: Tazinlwfl - Dec 3, 2008 Version: 1.0.1 Okay, I don't normally review apps, but I feel obligated. This app is really nice. It's simple and it looks good.
True it's "just a clock", but that's not a valid reason to rate it 3 or less stars. It says it's a clock. The point is it's a clock that stays up. And for God's sake, it doesn't need alarms (your iPhone has alarms that will work while using this app).
I keep it on at night and at work. I dim the brightness of my screen at night so it's not too bright, and I use the alarms set on my phone to wake me in the morning. At work I keep it on my desk so all I need to do it glance at it quickly. (or if I'm a little distance away from my desk).
It doesn't use a lot of power at all. Infact, I kept it on for well over 2 hours at work unplugged and it didn't lower my bar. This app also helped my habit of leaving my phone unplugged (now I keep it in it's dock most of the time while running the app). It doesn't close after a call (using my headset) or after an alarm.
It really is a nice app. Several people at my job have iPhones and they all wanted the app after seeing it on my desk (even my boss).
A few things in response to other reviews:
•If it's too bright at night, lower the brightness of your screen
•There is an option in the app settings to block the phone's auto-lock so the clock will stay on (go to your iphone settings and scroll to the bottom)
•This app doesn't require any alarms, you can set plenty from the phone itself (snooze works well without shutting off app)
•The app barely uses any battery life
•It's a small app
Things I WOULD like to see improved/added:
•Larger portrait view (or option)
•More colors
•Dimmer options in the app itself
•Option to show date
I really can't ask more than that, it's already great

WHERE IS AUTO LOCK!?!? By: Brian Dixon - Jan 29, 2009 Version: 2.0 This is my favorite app I have downloaded (including games). The clock graphics are very well put together and it is very useful. I give it 5 stars hands down! Especially for a free app. Only things that I would like to see in an update is to be able to dim the backlight automatically when I open the app (on normal brightness at night it lights up my room pretty well), the other feature has to be an alarm clock that I can use a playlist or custom sound with. Great app though!!!
Shouldn't own an iPhone! By: Areustupid - Dec 3, 2008 Version: 1.0.1 All I can say, after reading many reviews, is that there are way too many people that own a iPhone that shouldn't if they can't even find where to change the settings of this program. How do u people manage to get dressed and get to work on your own each day?
Right on with the 420! This person may be a stoner but that doesn't mean he/she is not a genius. What a marketing idea it was to set the clock icon at 4:20. Great idea! What other reason would cause this app to race to the top of the list? Let's see more!
Love it By: _Izzyy - 28-Feb-2009 Version: 2.1.1 I got this when it was free, was disappointed and deleted it. When I saw the price had gone up I downloaded it again. I'm very impressed with the new updates! Great alarm which makes you choose a right answer to a question to turn it off, dimming option is brilliant and there's everything you need in a clock! Brill app. Wouldn't have minded paying the new price but as it so happens, I didn't need to. :)
Awesome. By: Glenno86 - Nov 29, 2008 Version: 1.0 I don't know if running this thing all night every night is a bright idea. Will it wear out the LCD panel/battery life?
It functions and looks very well though. It would be a amazing addition to my night stand considering my iPhone already replaced my wall powered alarm clock.
My only gripe is having to exit, go to preferences and go back to the app to change a setting. Perhaps a multitouch action such as tapping with 3 fingers at once could invoke the settings?
Kiss By: Toowoombalexus - 30-Nov-2008 Version: 1.0 Keepin it short & simple. Love it. Here's a thought but. Built in a simple alarm function and I would gladly pay for the upgrade. Think along the lines of audio and visual alarm ( silent alarm ). Maybe the digits could simply flash when you need an alarm but need to be quiet. ( library? ) I'm using a protective shell with a built in stand and with this app, it delivers what it promised. A replacement for my bedside clock. 10 outta 10.
Perfect little app! By: SnuffPuppy - Jan 5, 2009 Version: 1.0.2 I can't see the clock radio from my side of the bed, so this little app answers a real need. With my iPhone charging on my night stand, I can see the time at a glance. Perfect. Suggestion: Disable auto-lock should be on by default. The app is fairly useless unless you disable auto-lock. Wish list: Dimmable display. You could have several levels of brightness & we could cycle through them by tapping the screen. I'm a bit surprised by the negative reviews. Why would you post a review for an application you clearly do not understand? I guess some people like to flaunt their ignorance.
Finally...A good clock app By: lilrob101 - 4-Dec-2008 Version: 1.0.1 Finally a good clock app, and it is free too!!! All it needs is a alarm that wakes to a playlist! And for those of you worried about the screens, there will be five new versions of the iPod touch before the screen wears out from running this app continuously, battery life, well that is another story…It should last at least the whole night with the Wi-Fi off and the brightness turned down. Its Free, and works, what more do I have to say!!!
... By: kilroywasn'there - Feb 19, 2009 Version: 2.1 Ok. The app isn't bad: it's u. If it's at 20 percent maybe u should charge it overnight while the app is running. Secondly if the screen is too bright go to settings and then brightness! Third U HAVE TO TURN UP the volume on the side of the iPod and turn the alarm on if you want it to go off. Any other problems? U guys need to do a little research before u start blaming the developers ( god bless: great app) for it own stupidity.
