Finally! By: Russic - 23-Oct-2008 Version: 1.0.1 I'm astounded that it took this long for somebody to finally get a weather app to work properly. The weather app that comes on the phone is useless to me because it lacks a short term forecast and it didn't have many of the areas that I wanted. Any other app I tried was disabled in a similar way and they tended to look worse. This app is the perfect blend of attractive design and function. While I adore that it is free, I would gladly pay 99 cents to get a version without the ad at the bottom. I would love if you made this the lite version and offered an upgrade option. It's not every day an app makes my 1st page so congrats!
Very useful By: RustyGator08 - Oct 23, 2008 Version: 1.0.1 I really like this app. It has my city, which I was surprised it did from the other comments. Things I would love to see improved: (1) It would be nice if the "Feels Like" worked. (2) Extending Short Term a little further (like the next day as well) (3) Radar Screen I really like the application though. It is clean and easy to read. Much, Much better than the one that comes directly with the iPhone.
Great By: Lindsay57095 - 17-Mar-2009 Version: 2.0.10 Exactly what I need. I use this instead of the regular weather app. I've always used the weather network to check the weather, and now it's always handy when I need it. I've found no glitches so far, and it has all the cities I want, even the little, tiny ones that are close by. I would definately reccomend this application. Although the ads are kind of annoying, they are discreet so it's not that bad. Thanks for a great app!
Finally :) By: Nomadite - 12-Nov-2008 Version: 1.0.1 Forgot that the WN had this. I've had it on my latop and desktop PC's since it came out last year but couldn't put mobile version on my Razr2 (pre iPhone cell) since not a smart phone.
I loved FizzWeather but this one is the best for Canadian weather. Great that it has all the features that the sesktop version has.
Ads are fine - what can ya do? Desktop version is same.
Bring Winter on!

brilliant design layout!!!! By: Steve-Mic - 10-Nov-2008 Version: 1.0.1 A perfect model of how the weather icon should have worked in the first place. The one that came with the iPhone didnt give me enough info quickly and the detail I needed was many clicks away and cumbersome to retrieve. The WeatherEye is designed perfectly! All the info you need for a particular day is a single click away. In an instant i can see the Current, Short Term, and Long Term forecasts in a matter of seconds. Perfect for an impatient motorcycle rider like me who has to watch the weather forecasts constantly but doesn't want to spend a long time doing it.

Thanks for a great app!
THE weather app. It's all you need. By: exPalmAddict - 4-Mar-2009 Version: 2.0.10 The latest update has done it. All my other weather apps are now obsolete compared to this one.
The only feature that was missing was the hourly forecast. Now that it's here (and in Celsius for us Canadians), no other weather app stands up.
The app looks good, is to the point and not filled with a bunch of fluff and features I'll never use. I'm not a meteorologist, I just want to know the weather today, tomorrow or 3 hours from now.... That's all!! This app does that and looks good doing it.
If the hourly button can be put on the first page rather than the second page, it would be even better.
Excellent App - Ads Aren't Even Noticed By: Patrick J. Patience - 22-Feb-2009 Version: 1.0.3 It's a shame that people are rating this app so lowly simply because it has banners. Sure, I might pay a buck to get a version without ads, but this awesome application is /free/. The ads don't interfere with displaying the weather at the least as they're place a mild gap (dealing with the screen real estate offered) below the actual weather info you're looking at. I don't even see an issue with accidentely tapping the ad with your finger, you simply select Long Term, Short Term, etc. Also, I don't see an issue with gathering some analytics from your users for whatever reason... they're simply asking your gender and age I believe, and as I recall, they are optional. Don't act as if you're bombarded with a pop-up asking for your location for an unsaid reason. Honestly, I think this application is fantastic. The interface is attractive and clutter free, and I'm presented with all the information I need in a quickly understandable view. To all other reviewers: Before rating this application 1 or 2 stars because it has a small banner ad that doesn't interfere with the content you need to read, please understand these developers wrote this application and released it for free. These reviews seem to act as if they're upset that the developers / network are trying to make a living. @Developers: It appears as if an additional 1 or 2 buck ad-free version may be the way to go.
A good weather app for Canada By: Orng - 2-Feb-2009 Version: 1.0.3 I hardly notice the ads, and in response to that one person in the comments, yes, it works fine on a first-gen iPod Touch, I've been using it for several months. I found WeatherEye not long after WeatherBug told me to expect coastal flooding in Kitchener, Ontario. So WeatherEye, with it's actual Canadian data, and weather warnings that are relevant to my geography, was a breath of fresh air. it's not nearly as buggy as WeatherBug, and unlike the built-in Apple app, it provides enough data that I can kinda sorta make an educated assumption about what the weather is going to be like. Which is as much as I can ever hope for when we're talking about the weather. Another thing I like about WeatherEye is they didn't make users wait 5 months for celsius support like a certain other weather app. Certainly for Canadian users this app provides better data than American apps that happen to have some spotty Canadian data.
Best free weather app (yes, it has ads) By: Jonfen77 - 2-Feb-2009 Version: 1.0.3 This weather app has the best interface with the best access to content you want in such an app. Yes it does have ads, but what do you want for free? Ads pay for the fact that you don't have to pay. Maybe the app's publisher can make a pro version you pay for with no ads, but I'll bet there will still be complainers bitching about something. There always are. Very well done app in my opinion. Congrats!
Awesome!!! By: Otis Levine - 1-Nov-2008 Version: 1.0.1 It's so accurate. Blows weather bug away. Nice to finally get a Canadian based app for weather.
I also like the detailed breakdown you get at the top of each page when you click on a specific period at the bottom.
And being able to set mutiple cities is a great feature too.
Zero problems installing and does what it's supposed to extremely well.
Update: Stop whining about the ads. They're tiny, easy to ignore, and probably keep this great app free.
Simply excellent By: _Pandora_ - 1-Nov-2008 Version: 1.0.1 This app is light years ahead if the default weather app. Download it and don't look back. Never mind the reviewers complaining about the ads. They're not that intrusive. You open the app, glance at the report, and close it again. It's not like a game that you could have open for an hour. Who has time to even notice the ads? I agree if they offered a paid version without ads, it would be nice for some customers, but even then, I would still stick with the free version. Try it!
Get Over the Banner Ads Already! By: MunySk8r - 8-Jan-2009 Version: 1.0.1 If it wasn't for a banner ad I wouldn't have found this app. It's not like you're staring at the app for hours with a banner in your face. You check the weather and move on...get over it. Superior to the Weather app provided by Apple due to the easy viewing from current to long term. WeatherEye provides more info to the user in a clear format. I've also found the temperature readings to be closer to the acutal than the Apple Weather app. Good job! Agree that radar would be a great addition.
No problems; working perfectly. By: Johnny Ehn - 28-Dec-2008 Version: 1.0.1 Compared to the lame native weather app this one works really well. Highlights include the ability to track weather for mutiple locations, and the ability to tap weather warnings to view the full release from Environment Canada.
The mutiple locations is a nice feature to track weather at an upcoming vacation destination.
Great work. Though I could do without the Chevy ad across the bottom. Ad banners = weak, in general.
Well Thought Out By: jazzace - 20-Apr-2009 Version: 2.0.10 The Weather Network has done a really good job of building this app from scratch. Previous efforts (e.g., Mac dashboard widget) were derivative of existing products. Now they have a whole line of really good apps and widgets for all platforms. If it were not for the ad placement (and how I have accidentally loaded an advertising web page when I wanted to just switch views), the iPhone app would be 5 stars. (I also recommend the current dashboard widget, which is similar to the iPhone app.)
The best looking weather app! By: Detroit Soul - Oct 23, 2008 Version: 1.0.1 Solid first release. It needs GPS, radar, etc. and it does not have all data for some of the more exotic locations, but I am sure it can be improved via future updates. The main thing is that it presents the info in pleasing, consistent graphic environment. I am not sure if I am behind the icon 100%, but better then most. I would pay for future version, but add banners are only minor distraction... Thank you Pelmorex.
Room for Improvement, but great start By: rockandchelle - Oct 23, 2008 Version: 1.0.1 I have been looking for a great weather app, and this one almost fulfills everything I want. It is missing Radar and Satellite, but they say that is coming soon. The other thing that it is missing, like most everyone else said, is smaller cities. It seems that it only has bigger cities listed. Also, the ability to search by zip code or current location would be great. Eventually I would love to see a version without adds, and a skinnable version. But, other than that..great start. And as for the crashing thing...I am not seeing that.
A very good start By: JikeSpingleton - Oct 23, 2008 Version: 1.0.1 Needs more cities, GPS location, and detailed weather forecasts (like in weatherbug). This app is gorgeous, it has replaced weatherbug because weatherbug is just that, buggy, not to mention that it's been abandoned. This app seems like it's got the potential to be really great... As long as the developer doesn't get cocky and assume he knows what the user wants more than the user does, this app will be a big success... K, now gimme my detailed forecasts! I want to know if it's "going to be nice for a few hours with some showers possible starting around 4pm" and stuff like that. It's important to me, I drive a Miata and need to know when it's going to be "top-down-weather". :)
Good luck to weathereye, you're getting 2 thumbs up... For now! ;)
Good weather app By: DavidbivaD - 18-Nov-2008 Version: 1.0.1 Better than ones I've paid for. One thing I don't get about those ppl whining about ads. What's the big deal? They're just ads. And if u don't wan then that badly then pay for an app. If u want a free one, shut up about the ads. It's not even that bad in this app.
Secondly, if you could add hourly updates, that would make my review a 5 star instead of a 4. Other than that, great app that is seriously better than apps that I've paid 5, 10 bucks for.
Eastern Canada By: Identman - 22-Mar-2009 Version: 2.0.10 Just installed this app and found it very easy to locate my city in eastern Canada. Normally, some programs and apps are a wealth of info for US cities/locations but lacking detailed info when crossing the boarder to the north. The app did crash on me once while adding one of the location (took one star away) but have tested it several times since with no problems. Nice layout and lots of info. Would recommend it to any Canadian user who wants info in metric and from their own city/town.
