Description:
Discover who your fair weather friends are! Instantly check the current weather for all friends and family in your iPhone or iTouch contacts folder. View a list of your contacts alongside current temperatures and general conditions for each person’s default location. Each entry is color-coded according to temperature and touching the weather conditions icon next to any contact will automatically take you to a detailed weather report for that location. Using the iPhone’s GPS function, your current location’s weather conditions are always listed first, so the application acts as a digital thermometer. The distance between your current location and each of your contacts is also displayed. You can sort your contacts list by this distance – or by contact name and temperature. Step off a plane anywhere in the world and instantly check the local weather conditions or see who your nearest contacts are. Alternatively, you can check on the weather for your friends and family back home. Download for free now and find out who is hot and who is not. version 1.2 will fix a lot of the known issues - look for it coming soon.

My new favorite app By: GGoldie - Sep 19, 2008 Version: 1.2 Rather than having to look up Orlando where my Mom lives, or Boston, New York, Philly, Vancouver BC, etc where friends and relatives live, all I need to do is flip to this little program and the weather for each of them is right there. I really like the detail in the forecast and the current radar display. Temperature and humidity, sunrise and sunset, moonrise and moon set, visibility etc are all displayed. I didn't have to program anything, it took the location information right from the telephone directory and number. As a traveler, you'll love this. As a private pilot, I think it's great. They locations are not always completely accurate as to city or town, but they are close. What a brilliant little application!!! Thumbs up.
Absolutely LOVE it! By: Dgriffin2004 - Aug 19, 2008 Version: 1.1 One of the best apps I have and most used. I use it mostly to check my own weather. I was using wundergrounds web version bc it was tons better than weather bug, but I didn't want a web version so this is great. I would suggest tho...when it opens up I would like to see my weather on top and not have to look for it amoungst everyone in my address book. (I have our address under my husbands name). Maybe put something in there so ppl can put their own address in too. Then it would be perfect :)
Awesome app!! By: Mhollin - Aug 9, 2008 Version: 1.1 *Hint to those who only have a few contacts show up & complain. You have to have addresses written in for your contacts on your phone in order for their city's weather to show up. The phone can't guess their addresses for you suprisingly enough* This has always been my favorite internet app and now it's installed on my phone! I like that I can check up on my friends and that it connects me to the internet app so I can look at the radar and all the other great tools I've come to love!

Best free weather app By: itech - Sep 13, 2008 Version: 1.2 Much better than rated! I started looking for iPhone weather apps after hurricane Ike started moving near my friends and family. I downloaded and installed 3 different free weather apps based on their ratings. They were ok, but I was hoping for more information than any provided. I have to stick to free apps for now so I finally tried this one despite what I thought was a too low rating and the name didn't sound like the app would benefit me--boy was I wrong! This app let's you instantly see the weather conditions for all or just a group of your contacts. I thought that was pretty cool but I was really impressed with all the detail I could easily obtain in such an easily readable format. It is my opinion this app needs a better name. This app has a lot more to offer than the developer's marketing indicates. It really helps you get the details that matter. Keep up the good work and I look forward to see where future updates take this app!
Cool app but a few bugs By: -J-a-x- - Aug 18, 2008 Version: 1.1 This app is a cool idea. It's really neat to see what the current weather is like for all of my friends and family around North American. However, I have noticed a few bugs. 1) The app can only find weather reports for contacts located in Canada if the postal code is NOT entered. For all of my contacts with a postal code, the weather report is blank. 2) The very last contact on the list is cut off by the bar at the bottom of the screen that lets me sort by name or temperature. 3) The app does not remember my sort settings, so each time I launch the app I have to tell it to sort by temperature. The developer says these bugs will be fixed soon, and I am looking forward to it. Weather Underground is all around great and very Mac friendly (their dashboard widget is nice too), so I believe them when they say they will continue to improve this app.
Pretty good weather app By: madmuso - 25-Aug-2008 Version: 1.2 I thought I'd try this out as it was free, I've already got AeroWeather but the info on that is a bit too complex for my tiny mind. This app has much of the same data but it's easier to understand, the forecast is further ahead than the native weather app and fives day and night weather which is useful. Having instant access to weather for my contacts is great if I'm going to see them and all the different options make this a very interesting app. My only gripes are that I like my temperature in Centigrade and my distance in miles, and some of the locations for some of my contacts are way off (UK places being moved to US) but apart from that, it's a great weather app and worth getting.

Not bad, room for improvement By: Demonpoofball - Jun 22, 2009 Version: 1.2 I was excited to see a weather underground option as we're on the edge of tornado alley and I like to keep updated. Gotta say though, the name is CHEESY. The friends thing is a novalty, and really should be the "go to" option with the actual weather info default.
Would be nice to see other radars, such as velocity, or even the StrikeStar data, but nobody else really has that as an iApp yet either. My only real complaint is that I can't manually enter my location. I've essentially got an iPod so I always get the CT location and then an error for my location. Would be nice to be able to manually enter and save like on my other apps.
Great App! By: Mongo2112 - May 18, 2009 Version: 1.2 Out of several weather apps on my iPhone, this is the one on my front page. Great animated radar, zoom and drag feature!
I LOVE the full screen Wundermap the best. If I had a feature request, it would be to have an option for the application to open directly to the Current Location full screen Wundermap.
This would save a lot of steps to get there as I often am using it during brief stops to avoid storms while riding my motorcycle. If the setting could remember the Wundermap options that would be cool too. I'm always having to select to turn the animation on. It would be nice to just check a box to remember settings.
Great App!
Looking forward to the next update.

Excellente!!! By: Happy Buyer - Aug 7, 2008 Version: 1.1 Will be a five star app but the only thing it lacks is the ability to add "only" the contacts you wish to see listed (not the department stores or schools I have listed in my contacts) and also I have someone in my contacts that has a zip code of: 2564GM Netherlands that I would love to see his weather but his does not show (I'm assuming this is only for US?) At any rate I wanted to say "Thank You"

Works great, tells me just what I want to know By: Bill Farmer - Jul 17, 2008 Version: 1.0 It's not that I need details about how cousin Tommy is doing across the country, weatherwise - I just need to know he is not suffering too bad. Knowing the temperatures and the sky of 30 contacts on one screen is just what I need now. I even made a special group in my address book for this app to read, so I would have representation from around the country (and globe). So simple and effective. All it does is read the city from the contacts and builds a list, sorted by name or temperature, of the entries in the group you select on the 2nd screen. Three screens - intro, list and settings. Recommended but not great.
Fun little app. By: dogpaddler - Jul 14, 2008 Version: 1.0 Forgot to give it the star rating. Five stars for being free and showing how apps can make the iPhone more functional and entertaining.
Great info! By: NealinGville - Dec 20, 2008 Version: 1.2 Good program
